First look – HONOR 200 Pro first look and walkthrough

We have been busy in Paris lately at the latest smartphone launch from HONOR and their all new 200 series and the event was something else and there was many new devices on offer that will certainly get any mobile interested. The HONOR 200 Pro is the flagship model coming in at a really good price too which is good for competition and the consumer.

Nokia and Honor sign 5G patent license agreement

Nokia announced today it has signed a new patent cross-license agreement with Honor covering both parties’ fundamental inventions in 5G and other cellular technologies. The terms of the agreement remain confidential between the parties.

Susanna Martikainen, Chief Licensing Officer Mobile Devices at Nokia said: “We are delighted to have concluded an amicable patent cross-license agreement with Honor, one of the leading players in the Chinese smartphone market. It is the fourth major litigation-free smartphone agreement that Nokia has concluded over the past twelve months and highlights once again the strength of Nokia’s patent portfolio and decades-long contributions to cellular standards and other technologies.”

Wenyu Zhou, Head of Global Intellectual Property at Honor said: “As both 5G SEP holder and implementer, Honor highly respects IP rights and strongly believes that reasonable value of IP is important to the development of mobile industry. The conclusion of the patent cross-license agreement shows Honor’s commitment on innovation to enabling a smart life across all scenarios and all channels, for all people.”

Nokia’s industry-leading patent portfolio is built on more than €140 billion invested in R&D since 2000 and is composed of around 20,000 patent families, including over 6,000 patent families declared essential to 5G. At Three, the HONOR 90 12+512GB will be available from €40 a month with €139 upfront, with a limited offer of €100 off on the upfront cost for those switching over to Three in August and September. In the same period, for €50 a month, Three are offering no upfront cost (usually €29). The HONOR 90 is also available with no upfront cost on the €60 a month airtime plan. The HONOR 90 12+512GB will also be available to purchase SIM-free from Three for €529.

Honor surprised everyone with the $250 6X during #CES2017. #Honor #6X #Android

The Huawei sub-brand Honor, has made a name of itself thanks to affordable yet impressive offerings like, last year Honor 8.

But what we weren’t expecting was seeing a redefining of “Budget Smartphone” with the presentation of their Honor 6X at CES.

This is not the first time we talk about this phone here, and you can see every little detail on the link above.

What was a complete surprise besides the official U.S announcement was the price tag.

Although we made some rough calculations on how would it cost to bring the phone over Europe or America there’s always some kind of extras that made to the final price. But this time Honor maintained the ridiculously low price tag leaving it on the under $300 budget.
