PIN Pulse – AI Smart Ring for BP & Glucose Trend Tracking

The Pin Universe announces the launch of PIN Pulse on Kickstarter, a next-generation smart health ring delivering the most comprehensive range of health insights available in a single ring. PIN Pulse introduces three breakthrough capabilities to the smart ring category – Blood Pressure Monitoring, Blood Glucose Risk Assessment Insights, and Sleep Apnea Detection – features that have never before been combined in one ring. Alongside these innovations, PIN Pulse integrates 13 total health metrics, bringing metabolic, cardiovascular, sleep, stress, activity, and body trend insights together in one non-invasive wearable – without needles, bulky devices, or monthly subscriptions.

Founders Sudeshna Naik and Hrishekesh Patil created PIN Pulse after identifying a gap in existing smart rings, which tracked basic fitness metrics but lacked meaningful insights into glucose trends and cardiovascular health in a single, non-invasive wearable.

Worn comfortably on the finger day and night, PIN Pulse captures 16 distinct health metrics, giving users the most comprehensive health insights available in a single ring. Among these, Blood Pressure Monitoring, Blood Glucose Risk Assessment, and Sleep Apnea Detection are breakthrough features never before combined in one wearable. Blood pressure and glucose risk assessments are available on-demand through the companion mobile app, while other metrics like sleep, heart health, stress, activity, and body trends are monitored continuously.

PIN Pulse’s AI analyzes all collected data, connects the dots across metrics, and delivers clear, personalized insights, helping users understand patterns and trends in their health. Best of all, full access to AI-driven insights comes with no monthly or annual subscription – you buy the product once and receive lifetime access to your health data and personalized guidance. Rather than overwhelming users, PIN Pulse presents charts and wellness insights in a clear, easy-to-understand way, emphasizing long-term trends and personalized guidance so users can stay informed and confident about their health.

Non-Invasive Health Awareness in a Ring

PIN Pulse is built around a simple idea: meaningful health awareness shouldn’t disrupt your routine. The ring captures biometric data directly from the finger, one of the most signal-rich points on the body, and turns it into practical wellness insights. PIN Pulse captures 16 distinct health metrics designed to provide a comprehensive daily wellness overview.

Key capabilities include:

  • Blood Glucose Risk Assessment & Blood Pressure Monitoring: On-demand measurements performed through the app with guided pre-checks, delivering convenient metabolic and cardiovascular wellness insights without finger pricks, cuffs, or inflation hardware
  • Sleep Apnea & Breathing Analysis: Tracks nighttime patterns and potential breathing irregularities such as sleep time, stages, efficiency, Sleep Breathing Risk (OSA) to support recovery awareness and better rest quality
  • Heart Health & Stress Signals: Monitors cardiovascular activity and physiological stress markers (heart rate, HRV, SpO₂, stress, Mood Track) to help users understand daily strain, balance, and emotional patterns
  • Activity & Energy Tracking: Captures daily movement (steps, calories, distance) and exertion levels to provide a clear view of lifestyle consistency and overall activity output
  • Body Trends & Women’s Health: Observes temperature patterns and cycle-related changes to support awareness across hormonal shifts and life stages

All insights are designed for general wellness and lifestyle awareness only, supporting informed habits, not medical diagnosis.

Designed  for Uninterrupted Health Tracking

PIN Pulse is engineered to deliver continuous, uninterrupted health tracking – day and night – without demanding constant user interaction. Unlike many wearables that require frequent charging breaks or manual engagement, PIN Pulse works quietly in the background, consistently capturing health signals as life happens.

Crafted from lightweight titanium and weighing as little as 3 grams, the ring blends seamlessly into everyday life with a discreet, jewelry-like form designed for 24/7 wear.

With up to 7+ days of battery life, 5 ATM water resistance, and wireless charging, users can wear PIN Pulse continuously – through sleep, showers, workouts, and daily routines – without disrupting their health data stream. Automatic data capture can be configured as frequently as every 5 minutes, balancing precision and battery optimization.

All data syncs seamlessly to the mobile app, creating a centralized dashboard that reveals how health signals evolve over weeks and months – not just isolated daily readings. Full app access is included for life, with no subscription required.

Personalized Health Insights Driven by AI

PIN Pulse combines multi-wavelength optical sensing, skin temperature tracking, and motion data from the finger – one of the body’s most signal-rich points – with advanced AI-driven sensor fusion. The sensors capture accurate, continuous data, and the AI analyzes patterns across multiple metrics, connects the dots, and turns them into clear, personalized insights.

Rather than presenting generic scores or constant alerts, the app highlights what has changed, what has stayed consistent, and what may deserve attention, helping users feel informed and reassured, not judged.

Users can also interact directly with the AI through the AI chat, receiving personalized guidance and awareness based on their own health trends. This makes the insights truly tailored to each individual, supporting long-term wellness and life-stage tracking.

Additional features powered by AI include Stress Monitoring, Mood Tracking, Women’s Health tracking, and Sleep Breathing Risk (OSA) indicators – all connected into one comprehensive, personalized health view.

Availability

PIN Pulse will launch via crowdfunding with a Kickstarter price of $249 and an MSRP of $499. Each package includes the PIN Pulse Smart Ring, magnetic charging dock, USB-C cable, quick start guide and a warranty card.

The product is backed by a 12-month limited hardware warranty, covering manufacturing and component defects under normal use.

How a morning grooming ritual can improve your productivity

Most people think of productivity in terms of calendars, task lists and time management. Yet the tone of a working day is often set much earlier, in the small habits that happen before the first email is opened. A steady morning routine can create a sense of structure, reduce decision fatigue and help the brain shift more smoothly into work mode.

That is one reason simple personal care habits can have a bigger impact than they first appear to. When the first part of the day feels rushed, neglected or chaotic, it is often harder to feel focused later on. By contrast, a routine that feels calm and manageable can create a stronger sense of readiness, even before work has properly begun.

Creating a clearer mental transition

One of the most useful things about a morning ritual is that it marks a transition between waking up and getting on with the day. This matters even more for people who work from home, juggle multiple responsibilities or struggle to separate personal time from professional time. Repeating the same few steps each morning helps signal that the day has begun.

This is where men’s grooming fits naturally into a wider conversation about performance and routine. It is not just about appearance. It can also be about consistency, self-respect and feeling prepared. Washing the face, shaving or trimming, applying skincare, and getting ready in a deliberate way can provide a mental reset that makes it easier to approach work with more clarity.

Small actions that support confidence

Confidence also plays a role. People often work better when they feel comfortable in themselves, more awake and more put together. That does not mean perfection or a lengthy routine. In fact, the most effective habits are often the ones that are simple enough to repeat without effort. A well-chosen morning ritual can therefore support both mindset and efficiency. When products are practical and easy to use, the process feels less like another task and more like a helpful anchor at the start of the day. That is part of the appeal of building a routine around men’s cosmetics at Notino, where the emphasis can be placed on straightforward products that fit easily into real mornings rather than idealised ones.

Why consistency matters more than complexity

Many people abandon routines because they try to do too much. A productive start does not require a complicated sequence or a shelf full of products. It works better when it is realistic. A few reliable steps, repeated regularly, usually have more impact than an ambitious routine followed only once or twice a week.

A better start, not a perfect one

There is no single formula for a productive morning, and not every day begins smoothly. Still, habits that create a sense of readiness can make a real difference over time. By turning a few simple actions into a ritual, mornings often become less reactive and more grounded. And when the day begins with a little more intention, it tends to unfold with more focus too.

Transform Your Tech Space With These Ergonomic Solutions

Your tech space should feel like a sanctuary rather than a source of physical stress. Many professionals spend over 8 hours a day staring at screens and sitting in chairs that lack proper support.

Small changes in your setup make a massive difference in how your body feels by the end of the week. Improving your surroundings leads to better focus and fewer aches after a long shift.

Defining Modern Workplace Ergonomics

Many people think ergonomics is just a fancy word for expensive furniture. One medical education platform explains that this science focuses on designing a workspace to fit the person instead of forcing the worker to adapt to poor equipment.

Setting up your desk correctly prevents you from contorting your body into uncomfortable positions. You can work for hours without feeling the need to stretch constantly to fix a stiff back. Maintaining a natural posture is the goal of every piece of equipment in your office.

A well-designed area allows you to reach your mouse and keyboard without straining your shoulders or wrists. You can finish your to-do list without feeling like you need a massage every evening. Creating balance is the first step toward a more sustainable and healthy career.

The Financial Impact Of Comfort

Quality seating is becoming a priority for businesses and home office users alike. A market study reported that the global ergonomic chair market reached a value of $13.14 billion in 2024.

The massive number suggests that people are taking their back health seriously and investing in the right tools. Spending money on a high-quality seat is an investment in your long-term mobility and daily comfort. You save money on medical bills and therapy by preventing injuries before they happen.

Chairs offer adjustable features that cater to different body types and sizes. Finding a model that fits your specific needs helps you stay productive and pain-free for years. A good chair supports your weight and keeps you from slouching during intense projects.

Optimizing Your Visual Setup

The height of your monitor determines how you hold your head and neck during the day. Keeping your screen at eye level prevents you from slouching over your desk or straining your eyes.

Finding the right height for your display helps prevent slouching and neck fatigue. Investing in high-quality computer screen mounts allows you to adjust your workspace to fit your body perfectly. Ergonomic tools provide the flexibility needed to maintain a healthy posture throughout a long day of work.

Mounting your hardware clears up desk space and lets you move the screen closer or further away as needed. Keeping your eyes level with the top third of the monitor prevents you from tilting your head down. Having more space on your desk surface makes it easier to stay organized and calm.

Dynamic Movement For Neck Health

Static positions are often the enemy of a healthy body when working at a computer. A recent scientific study found that using a dynamic monitor that automatically changes height and tilt can reduce neck pain and forward-leaning posture.

Moving your hardware slightly throughout the day keeps your muscles engaged and prevents stiffness. Regular shifts in your viewing angle help you avoid staying in one fixed spot for too long. Small changes keep your blood flowing and your mind alert even in the afternoon.

Small movements add up to big gains in comfort over the course of a standard workday. Your body appreciates the variety and the break from repetitive strain.

  • Frequent micro-adjustments to screen tilt.

  • Changing monitor height every hour.

  • Varying your focal distance to rest your eyes.

Achieving The Perfect Spine Alignment

Most standard chairs do not offer the specific support needed for the lower back. A furniture design expert noted that ergonomic chairs are built to support the natural S curve of your spine.

Providing critical support keeps your vertebrae aligned and reduces the risk of long-term injury. Proper lumbar padding makes a huge difference as you are sitting for several hours at a time. Without it, you may find yourself leaning forward and putting too much pressure on your discs.

You should look for a seat that allows you to keep your feet flat on the floor. The position distributes your weight evenly and prevents pressure build-up in your legs. Proper alignment starts at your feet and works its way up to your head.

Switching Between Sitting And Standing

Standing desks have become a staple in modern offices for good reason. A coworking resource pointed out that using a sit-stand desk can cut your sitting time by 60-100 minutes per day.

Reducing your total sitting time helps circulation and keeps your energy levels higher. Switching your position every hour prevents your muscles from becoming dormant and tight. It is a simple way to stay active without leaving your workstation or stopping your flow.

These desks provide the freedom to move without stopping your workflow. You can stay active and still meet your deadlines and stay organized throughout the day.

  • Stand during phone calls or meetings.

  • Sit while doing deep focus work.

  • Adjust the desk height so your elbows stay at a 90-degree angle.

Managing Eye Health And Distance

Digital eye strain is a common issue for anyone working with multiple monitors. An eye care clinic suggests keeping your screen between 20 and 28 inches away from your face.

Distance is roughly an arm’s length and helps your eyes stay relaxed. Keeping your monitor at this range prevents headaches and blurry vision after a long day of reading. You should be able to see the text clearly without leaning forward or squinting.

Checking for glare from windows or overhead lights is a good idea, too. Adjusting the brightness of your display to match your room lighting creates a more comfortable viewing experience. Your eyes will feel much better if they do not have to fight against bright reflections.

Smart Placement For Your Hardware

Where you place your primary screen impacts how you sit and move your torso. One workstation guide mentions that your main monitor should be directly in front of you instead of off to the side.

Placing screens at an angle forces you to twist your neck or back constantly. Repetitive twisting leads to muscle imbalances and persistent discomfort. Keeping everything centered ensures that your muscles work evenly on both sides.

If you use a laptop, think about using a separate keyboard and mouse. It allows you to raise the laptop screen to eye level without straining your wrists to type. Using the right peripheral tools makes your laptop setup much more ergonomic.

Taking the time to adjust your tech space pays off in comfort and productivity. You do not need to replace everything at once to start seeing the benefits of better ergonomics.

Begin with small changes like monitor height or chair adjustments to see what works best for you. Your body will thank you for making your health a priority in your daily routine.

Consumers Face Double Blow as Health Insurance Costs

Irish consumers are being warned to review their health insurance policies immediately, as a combination of premium increases and significant benefit reductions come into effect from 1st April across the market.

While policyholders are already familiar with regular price increases, further rate hikes are imminent, with providers including Irish Life Health, Laya Healthcare and Level Health implementing additional increases. This is according to health insurance expert and founder of Health Insurance Ireland, Dermot Goode.

Mr Goode warns that the latest round of changes extends beyond pricing. Substantial reductions in benefits, particularly affecting thousands of Laya Healthcare members, are also being introduced and may go unnoticed by many consumers.

From 1st April, Laya Healthcare will alter cover for major orthopaedic and ophthalmic procedures across approximately 30 plans. For example, the Prosper Advanced plan, which currently offers full cover for procedures such as hip, knee and shoulder replacements, will move to a 40% shortfall for these surgeries in private hospitals. With this plan costing €2,564 per adult, affected members renewing from April could face out-of-pocket costs of up to €6,000 for such procedures.

Other widely held corporate plans, including Prosper Care, Inspire Plus, Inspire, Simply Health Extra and Signify schemes, will also see co-payments for restricted procedures increase from 20% to 40%. While some consumers may manage a €3,000 shortfall, doubling this cost is likely to place significant financial strain on many households. Alternative options are also becoming less attractive. Plans such as Total Health Extra will retain full orthopaedic cover, but changes from April include a doubling of the private hospital excess to €300 per admission and a reduced outpatient claims cap of €500 per member.

Meanwhile, plans like Simply Connect and Simply Connect Plus, which have remained popular for their full orthopaedic cover and strong outpatient benefits, will see outpatient excess charges increase from €1 to €10 per claim, despite already rising premiums.

These developments are not isolated. Across the market, insurers including VHI Healthcare and Irish Life Health have already introduced caps on outpatient benefits, while Level Health has reduced benefits on its Plan D offering within months of launch.

Consumers are being advised to look beyond headline premium costs when reviewing their policies.

Dermot Goode, health insurance expert with healthinsuranceireland.ie, said:

“Consumers can no longer focus solely on the price of their premium. It is critical to examine the details of your policy to ensure benefits are not being reduced or removed. If changes are identified, members should engage directly with their insurer and consider a full review of their cover to ensure it still meets their needs”.

For those impacted, alternative plans may be available. Laya members on plans such as Prosper Advanced may need to consider options including Simply Connect, Simply Connect Plus, Control 150 Secure, Control 300 Create or Momentum to maintain full orthopaedic cover. The VHI Advanced Care range may also offer suitable alternatives.

Consumers renewing from 1st April who are moving from a 20% to 40% co-payment may wish to explore the Laya Connect Simplicity corporate scheme, which currently retains a 20% co-payment. However, this plan is also expected to change from 1st May, with the higher co-payment applying thereafter.

Mr Goode added,

“Consumers should remember that switching insurers is always an option, and you will receive full credit for your previous membership, so there is no break in cover. However, if you’re increasing your level of cover, you need to be mindful of the two-year upgrade rule, particularly where pre-existing conditions apply, as this could limit your benefits in the short term.

The key message is don’t auto-renew without reviewing your policy in detail or seeking expert advice. Paying higher premiums is difficult enough, but consumers should never accept paying more for reduced cover without exploring all available options”.

How Samsung Is Tackling Sleep Apnea to Energise Your Days

Millions worldwide suffer from sleep apnea, but 80% of sufferers[1] don’t even know they have it. This serious condition causes people to pause breathing while asleep, potentially disrupting oxygen supply, lowering sleep quality, and leading to health complications including hypertension and stroke. Despite these risks, the disorder largely goes unnoticed because getting a diagnosis usually requires time-consuming and costly in-lab sleep studies.

To mark World Sleep Day 2026, a global study of Samsung Health users[2] is shedding new light on the true extent of the condition and the disruptive impact it has on your sleep. Aligned with this year’s World Sleep Day theme, “Sleep Well, Live Better,” Samsung is turning the invisible signs of sleep apnea into actionable insights through its Galaxy Watch series, helping those affected improve their sleep habits and overall health.

How Does Sleep Apnea Impact Your Sleep?

The report found that 23% of study participants are at risk of sleep apnea.

“The microarousals and awakenings that follow breathing pauses fragment your sleep,” explains behavioral sleep scientist Dr. Vanessa Hill. “Those occurrences can prevent the brain from staying in the REM and deep sleep stages necessary for cognitive and physical restoration.”

The report shows these constant disruptions take a direct toll on sleep duration and quality, leading to:

  • Reduced REM Sleep: Participants with moderate to severe sleep apnea indicators detected by their Galaxy Watch got around four minutes less rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, the phase where our brains process emotions, consolidate memories and cement learning. Without enough of it, people can experience mood instability and memory problems, impacting performance at work and overall well-being.
  • Less Deep Sleep: Sleep apnea also robs sufferers of deep sleep, approximately eight minutes less per night, on average. This is the body’s critical physical restoration phase, where growth hormone is released, muscles are repaired, and your immune system is activated. Losing out on deep sleep is why you may feel physically exhausted, have slower recovery times, and get sick more often.
  • Frequent Nightly Awakenings: Study participants with signs of sleep apnea also woke up regularly during the night and stayed awake around four minutes longer. These interruptions derail the sleep cycle, locking you into lighter, less restorative stages and making next-day exhaustion inevitable, no matter how long you slept.
  • Shorter Sleep Duration: Overall, people with a higher likelihood of sleep apnea averaged around 12 minutes less sleep. While this loss may seem minor, it can have a significant impact on overall sleep quality as your sleep cycle gets fragmented throughout the night.

Why It Matters: “Even a small loss in sleep duration is compounded by a larger loss of sleep quality,” said Dr. Hill. “This can be the difference between simply being ‘in bed’ and getting restorative rest, which could be why people feel so tired the next day.”

Dr. Hill also advocates a multidimensional approach to sleep health. “Sleep apnea affects many dimensions of sleep, duration, quality, sleep efficiency and even daytime fatigue,” she stated. “They together help determine our health and functioning.”

With sleep apnea shown to impact all aspects of sleep and lead to other health complications, detection is an essential first step in the fight against the condition.

How Does Galaxy Watch Help Detect Signs of Moderate to Severe Sleep Apnea?

For years, sleep apnea has been difficult to detect due to the need for inconvenient hospital tests. However, Samsung offers at-home detection with a first-of-its-kind Sleep Apnea[3] feature on your Galaxy Watch.

  • How It Works: Users simply track their sleep with a compatible Galaxy Watch[4] for more than four hours over two nights within a ten-day period. Available through the Samsung Health Monitor app, the Sleep Apnea feature enables users to proactively spot signs of the condition. Initially launched in Korea, the feature has since received De Novo authorization from the U.S. FDA and is now available in 78 markets[5] worldwide and counting.
  • The Technology: Leveraging the Galaxy Watch’s BioActive Sensor, the feature tracks blood oxygen levels to determine when the user stops breathing (apnea) or is not breathing enough (hypopnea). Based on this data, the feature estimates the user’s Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI), which indicates the severity of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
  • From Awareness to Action: By detecting signs of sleep apnea early, the feature provides the data needed for an informed consultation with a medical professional. In addition to tackling sleep apnea, your Galaxy Watch can help you build habits for better holistic sleep health. Features include the Sleep Coaching program for detailed analysis and tips on how to improve sleep quality and Bedtime Guidance,[6] which recommends your optimal bedtime to ensure you consistently get enough sleep.

“For years, the inconvenience of an in-lab clinical sleep study has been a barrier to diagnosing sleep apnea,” added Dr. Hill. “Wearable technology such as Galaxy Watch is a breakthrough because it democratizes that first step. It allows people to gather meaningful data from their own beds, providing a starting point for a conversation with a healthcare professional.”

Take Control of Your Night

A good night’s sleep is the first step toward a healthier, more energized life, and Samsung is here to guide you. Samsung’s ecosystem offers end-to-end care, from detecting signs of sleep apnea on your Galaxy Watch to providing suggestions to receive professional adviceto connecting you with professional advice through our health network.

Looking ahead, Samsung is constantly innovating and improving the Sleep Apnea feature to make it even more powerful with sharper insights. Prioritize your rest today to unlock a healthier tomorrow.

2Samsung Health users from the U.S., South Korea, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Russia, Chile, South Africa, and the Philippines participated in the study from January–June 2025.

3The Sleep Apnea feature is an over-the-counter (OTC), software-only, mobile medical application operating on a compatible Samsung Galaxy Watch and phone. It is intended for on demand use. Users should not use this feature to replace traditional methods of diagnosis and treatment by a qualified clinician. The data provided by this device is also not intended to assist clinicians in diagnosing sleep disorders. For users over the age of 22 who have not been diagnosed with sleep apnea, the feature monitors for signs of moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

Canyon Smart Watch Jacky SW-69 Review

The Canyon Smart Watch Jacky SW-69 is an affordable smartwatch kept simple with plenty of features to keep the curious one alight if it is their first smartwatch to try out and indeed this for me is one of those who want to delve into the samrtwatch wrold and fitness tracking.

As an owner of countless smartwatches the Canyon Smart Watch Jacky SW-69 is a nice watch to look at and use despite the name it has been given, having said that many companies do tend to give their products funny names or quesitonable numbers added on the the product and we shall not name those.

This smartwatch has it all bar calls on the watch itself or the option to respond to messages, it instead lets you look at your mails social media messages and more nmot forgetting the suite of sports activities and health features on board you can accept and reject calls and the notifictions are not rich notifications you will see more in the video review below.

With health and fitness in mind this watch does have you covered in fairness, there is plenty on board even for the more demanding type at the price level and from testing data is failty accurate when paired against other watches I own and test out not just high end ones either.

Notifications are on the button bit not rich you get a basic line of thext which is fine as it is a simple approach smartwatch and for me even though I have more expensive watches I could easily wear this as a daily it keeps you off your phone like any other smatwatch does.

Overall this is a nice simple to use smartwatch with a simple app and people like simple and it offers plenty for the fitness and health gurus out there and looks nice too with a simple magentic strap how much simpler do you want it..

WHOOP launches AI-powered hormonal insights for women in Ireland

WHOOPthe human performance company, today announced its expanded Women’s Health feature set in Ireland with the launch of Hormonal Symptom Insights and Predictions, a significant update to its Menstrual Cycle Insights and Pregnancy Insights offering.

For many women, hormonal changes influence far more than just their cycle. Energy levels, sleep quality, mood and training capacity can shift throughout the month. Yet traditional tracking tools often rely on static calendar averages that fail to reflect that variability.

Within the WHOOP app, menstruating members now receive a personalised model of their cycle that adapts over time based on their unique physiological data and historical patterns. Rather than relying on static calendar tracking, the system continuously learns from longitudinal biometric signals to provide increasingly accurate predictions that evolve as more data is collected.

Members now have access to key cycle data that enables them to adjust daily routines, fitness programmes and recovery practices with greater clarity and anticipate potential symptoms rather than simply record them.

New capabilities include:

·        A dynamic date window for the next period, allowing greater anticipation and planning

·        Tracked trends in cycle length, period length and variability, flagging irregular patterns before larger issues persist

·        Analysed individual symptom patterns to anticipate when symptoms are most likely to occur

·        AI-driven Daily Outlook recommendations that adapt based on menstrual phase, pregnancy stage, recovery metrics and logged symptoms

The expansion builds on the existing Menstrual Cycle Insights feature from WHOOP, which leverages continuous biometric data including heart rate variability, resting heart rate, skin temperature, respiratory rate and recovery trends to generate personalised cycle predictions with minimal manual input.

“What makes this powerful isn’t any single data point- it’s how the system comes together,” said Emily Capodillupo, Senior Vice President of Research, Algorithms, and Data at WHOOP. “Women don’t experience their physiology in silos. Hormones influence sleep, sleep affects recovery, and recovery shapes training response. By modeling these interactions over time – across continuous biometrics, lab data, and behavior- we can deliver guidance that reflects the full system, not just a snapshot.”

Menstrual Cycle White Paper

WHOOP has published a comprehensive Menstrual Cycle White Paper outlining the research, methodology and validation behind its modelling approach. The white paper demonstrates how continuous physiological monitoring improves prediction accuracy over time, how the system accounts for variable cycles, perimenopause and hormonal birth control, and how prediction windows dynamically widen or narrow based on individual variability.

In addition to hormonal modelling, the Women’s Health feature set integrates the WHOOP Strength Trainer and Healthspan capabilities. WHOOP remains the only wearable that measures Muscular Load, quantifying the mechanical stress placed on muscles and connective tissue during resistance training. Healthspan calculates WHOOP Age and Pace of Ageing using nine physiological metrics, connecting sleep, cardiovascular fitness and strength to long-term vitality.

WHOOP is the first human performance and healthspan system to integrate continuous hormonal modelling, predictive symptom insights, muscular load measurement and biological age tracking within a single wearable ecosystem.

With support from the WHOOP Medical Advisory Board, including Dr Robin Berzin and Dr Hazel Wallace, and in collaboration with Clue, WHOOP continues to advance innovation in women’s health in Ireland.

AI Reshaping Startup Landscape as WeBuild Reopens for Women Founders Across Island

Artificial intelligence is reshaping how tech startups are created, dramatically reducing build time and lowering traditional technical hurdles.

As building a scalable digital product becomes faster, cheaper and less dependent on deep coding expertise and major funding, more women are seizing the opportunity to lead and build in tech.

In response, applications have reopened for the second cohort of WeBuild, the all-island programme delivered by TechFoundHer empowering women to innovate and to build tech-led solutions. The programme, which supports women founders across the island of Ireland, returns after strong demand for its inaugural intake in January.

Founded in Dublin in 2024 and launched in Belfast the same year, TechFoundHer provides training, community and cross-border networks for women building technology ventures. The first WeBuild cohort attracted more than 90 applications.

Now midway through the programme, participants are developing AI-enabled products aimed at international markets, moving from early concept to validated, revenue-focused ventures within months.

WeBuild is led by InterTradeIreland in partnership with Invest Northern Ireland and Enterprise Ireland as part of the Shared Island Enterprise Scheme, funded by the Government of Ireland through the Shared Island Fund, with TechFoundHer as delivery partner.

The four month programme is designed for ambitious women founders developing innovation-led, tech-enabled businesses with global potential supporting those who are beyond the idea stage and already prototyping, testing or building products where technology is central.

WeBuild combines a 16-week core schedule delivered primarily online with in person labs across the island and an intensive two day Residential Build Lab.

Founders focus on product development, AI integration, customer traction and funding, using GenAI and no code tools to accelerate validation and iteration. An Investor Readiness Clinic supports participants to refine their pitch and funding strategy and connect with investors across the island.

Women taking part in WeBuild are from across the island from Cork, Dublin and Galway to Belfast and L’Derry with ventures across digital health and medtech, education technology, creative and cultural tech, AI driven B2B platforms and social impact technologies.

Entrepreneur Deirdre McCarthy, founder of FLIT.ie, is one of the entrepreneurs who took part in the programme.

She said all women in tech with a great idea should: “Please please do yourself a favour and apply for this. It’s a place of safety where you can access really good humans with strong tech brains. You will learn from the other participants, who may be further along in some ways, as well as from the formal education sessions. Extremely accessible and welcoming environment, unique in Ireland.”

According to some participants the programme has been instrumental in accelerating product development, highlighting the strength of the peer network and access to experienced technical mentors.

Gemma Kingston, founder of The Family Edit explained: “The programme has been invaluable in the development of my business and brought it to stages that I could only have dreamed of in such a short space of time. The access to experts is unmatched.”

Programme creator Máirín Murray said the pace of technological change across the ecosystem means founders can no longer afford to wait

“AI and no-code tools are lowering barriers, but access to the right frameworks and expertise remains uneven” she said, adding: “The strength of the first cohort demonstrated the depth of talent that exists across the island. The question is not whether women can build scalable technology ventures, but whether the ecosystem creates the right conditions for them to do so.

“The demand we’ve had for WeBuild reflects a generation of women founders ready to build serious tech companies. What they often lack is early access to technical support that strengthens credibility with investors and the wider ecosystem.

“That is what WeBuild is designed to provide.”

To support prospective applicants in the application process the TechFoundHer team will be hosting an information session on Wednesday, March 11 at 4pm. The free session will be hosted by Máirín Murray and will provide a detailed overview of the programme, including the support, structure and outcomes founders can expect.

During the webinar, attendees will hear how WeBuild supports founders who want to harness the power of data and GenAI to bootstrap faster, automate smarter and build scalable tech ventures. The session will also include a step by step walkthrough of the application process and an opportunity for participants to ask questions and assess whether the programme is the right next step for their business.

WeBuild is open to women-led or women founded businesses based on the island of Ireland that are developing innovative products, services, systems or processes with clear commercial potential. Applicants must be at an early or growth stage and demonstrate market validation or proof of concept, along with ambition for significant growth including export and investment potential.

Applications for WeBuild are now open and will close on Monday, March 23 at 12pm.
