Cyberpunk Action-shooter RPG ‘The Ascent’ blasts onto Xbox and PC #gaming #TheAscent

A solo and co-op action-shooter RPG set in a sci-fi cyberpunk world, The Ascent is the first title from Neon Giant, a new 12-person studio composed of games industry veterans who were some of the minds behind iconic AAA titles such as the Gears of War, Bulletstorm and Wolfenstein franchises.

The Ascent sees players dive into ‘The Ascent Group’ arcology, a self-contained corporate-run metropolis, stretching high into the sky and filled with creatures from all over the galaxy. Taking on the role of an indentured worker, the world starts to go haywire when The Ascent Group shuts down for unknown reasons. Life becomes a case of survival, with rival corporations and crime syndicates looking to fill the empty space and players having to take up arms to hold them off.

“About three years ago we founded Neon Giant; a small game dev studio with the belief that with the right focus and mindset, even just a few people can create grand experiences and high quality games,” said Tor Frick, Creative Director and co-founder of Neon Giant. “We have a passion for creating living worlds and action gameplay – it’s in our DNA from our shared history in the industry and The Ascent is the result of our team’s passion and hard work.”

Fellow co-founder and Creative Director of the studio Arcade Berg added: “In The Ascent you start off at the bottom of the food chain – that’s just the life of an indent – but as you progress, you will get to grow more powerful, find shiny guns, toys and augmentations making you able to live out your twisted power fantasies – if you choose – with robot tentacles coming out of your back. We will take you across the world, wide and high, in a megacity filled with turmoil and introduce you to characters who have found ways to thrive in this environment. We hope our game is as fun and exciting for you playing it as it was for us to make it.”

Game apps to download on your smartphone

With more than 2.5 billion active devices today and nearly 86% market share, Android is establishing itself as the most widely used operating system in the mobile world. And on Google Play, video games are undeniably at the top of the list of the most popular applications. Thus, with such a huge number of games, it is not always easy to find the best games that are worth playing.

Total War Battles: Kingdom

Developed by The Creative Assembly, the Total War series has since become one of the pillars of the strategy game. Extremely complete, this series pleasantly mixes real-time playing with strategy and management to deliver a most pleasant experience. With the Total War Battles series, the studio has created a simplified version of its game, much more suited to the nomadic format.

Gone are Antiquity (the usual setting for the main series games), we find ourselves here in medieval England, with the ultimate task of unifying the kingdom in order to reign supreme. In this game, you get to manage a city, which will allow to unlock a whole bunch of bonuses and improvements, and of course, battles in real time. Apart from the rather inconvenient interface, Total War Battles: Kingdom is a good little strategy game that you can enjoy with your friend.

Rayman adventures

Rayman Adventures game desing is very pleasing to the eye thanks to the performance of the Ubi Frame Art. The gameplay is perfectly suited to mobile support thanks to responsive and very well-thought-out touch controls. Although it offers very few free-to-play elements, it is difficult to deny the overall charm of Rayman Adventures, which certainly deserves its place on the smartphone of any lover of android games in general, and Rayman in particular.

Fallout Shelter

How do you adapt a game like “Fallout” to mobile, when its ergonomics do not exactly comply with touch screens? By taking only the universe of the game to create a totally different game. This is how Fallout Shelter was born, a fun resource management game based on the codes of the eponymous saga. The player must develop an atomic shelter collecting survivors, optimizing the production of various resources, population and capacities of the shelter. Addictive, Fallout Shelter is also demanding as it continues to run in the absence of the player.

Shadowgun Legends

Shadowgun Legends is one of the best sci-fi shooter video games. In this game, your main objectives will be to complete missions and help other shadowgun companions. You can also participate in the arenas where you team up with other ghost guns and take out waves after waves of enemies. After eliminating all the waves, you get high prices. The game also includes tons of customization options and very powerful weapons. The game is completely free, there are in-app purchases, but you can complete the game without spending real money.

Special mention: Games for many making

Such games are becoming more popular each year. We are talking about games where you compete against another player or team of player to earn real money. Games such as baccarat are offered by online casinos, most of which have downloadable apps.

Top Online Gaming Trends That Have Happened In 2021

As time has progressed, so has the way in which society sees and deals with many of their usual doings. Just like with many other sorts of entertainment, the gaming and gambling industry has also seen its fair share of transformations and renovations, all towards ensuring that its fans always get the best product available. Thanks to all the technological advances that we are met with on a daily basis, both the gaming and gambling industry have opened up even more to the idea of having everything be as technologically savvy and comfortable for its customers including, stronger online gaming presences and online gambling platforms amongst others.

With 2021 being a year in which the online gaming and gambling industries have seen an up rise in their markets and demands, especially with more and more people finding an interest in these lines of entertainment through technology, here are the top online gaming trends that we have seen through 2021.

Online Casinos Are Taking Over Brick and Mortar Casinos

While many people can blame the COVD-19 pandemic as one of the main reasons as to why brick and mortar style casinos and gaming houses have taken a rough decline in popularity the fact of the matter is that since the full irruption of technology in the gaming and online gambling industries, some much necessary changes and lifting changes have been put into place. Said changes have helped these industries rise in popularity becoming a favorite for gaming fans to be able to enjoy their favorite activities from the comfort of their phones, tablets, computers or other mobile devices without having to leave their homes.

While most land based casinos are usually concentrated in specific areas like Las Vegas and Atlantic City, with online casinos hitting the scene, now players don’t have to think about having to plan and book a trip to any of these destinations whenever they have a hankering for some gambling. The amount of money that players save because of not having to plan actual trips to these places has allowed them to be able to invest more in their favorite online gaming and gambling sites which also helps them by offering top line offers for their enjoyment. Online casinos are able to offer players vast varieties of games that might not be found in physical land based establishments, making them way more appealing for customers than the latter ones.

Welcoming The Use of Cryptocurrencies Has Become Key

By now the number of industries and businesses that use and accept cryptocurrencies as a form of payment is becoming bigger than the number of industries and businesses that don’t, so of course that the online gaming and gambling industries had to jump on that wagon and go with the flow. As 2021 has gone by, it’s been more and more noticeable that online gaming and gambling platforms have started accepting crypto currencies with much more ease and comfort, allowing their customers to do their dealings with cryptos instead of relying on bank deposits, withdrawals and others.

One of the main factors that has put the usage of cryptocurrencies in the gaming and gambling industries as a top positive trend in 2021 has been the level of safety and security protocols that are managed by crypto managing companies that work alongside the gaming and gambling companies. Gamers and gambling fans are met with protocols in which they can enjoy their usual action while being basically anonymous and their actions being untraceable, with theft and hacking threats being brought down to a minimum. Crypto currencies are slowly but surely making their way to becoming a top priority in all walks of business and the online gaming and gambling industries are not the exception.

VR Games Are Gaining More and More Popularity

Virtual reality games or VR games have not only become an entertainment source enjoyed by kids, it’s also made its way into the online gaming and gambling industry and with much praise and acceptance. As more and more VR gaming accessories have hit the market a push for VR-based casinos has started to happen with people asking to be able to live a true casino experience virtually from the comfort of their own homes.

Companies such as Net Entertainment have already tried out prototypes of gaming versions of some of their most popular slot machine games and others towards being able to offer the full idea of a VR based casino. It seems like it’s only a matter of time until VR-based casinos are a reality.

Tech Review – Creative SXFI Theater headphones. #Tech #Headphones

If you have not tried any of the Creative SXFI headphones you do not know what you are missing and the Theater is no different but there is only one thing about these that has me asking questions and that is why lock them out from your mobile phone and why the need to set up an account on the app and pc but I got a workaround for the smartphone issue which is fine but means you need to get a USB adapter to make it work but having said that aside using these for gaming and watching films these are something you should have at your disposal regardless but they really need to make them more open. You can use them via 3.5 mm cable but it just defeats the purpose and you miss out on all the features. I tested on PC/Laptop PS5 and phone and all went works well.

DEVICE COMPATIBILITY

Experience the immersive, holographic audio experience across devices:

For Desktops, PCs, Laptops

  • Microsoft® Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8.0, Windows 7
  • Mac OS X® 10.9 or higher

For Consoles

  • Nintendo Switch OS 5.0 or later
  • PS4/PS4 Pro Firmware Ver 5.0 or later

Setting up is simple enough and I get the need for lag free connectivity but these should be open to all, once you have downloaded the app and set up profiles all it is is a case of swapping out the usb dongle and the connect button is on the dongle to connect not the device it is plugged into.. You do a head mapping process and it might be better to have someone help you do this especially for the ears part.

I have got this to work on my phone with USB-C adapter the process is a bit a laborious having to set up twice and then set new profile for each device but it is worth it in the end.

Check out what you get in the box below…

So what are you getting here exactly.. A good comfortable pair of headphones to start with and the main selling point here is the immersive, holographic audio experience across devices and it puts you slap bang in the middle of everything and you can tune to your needs and oh boy it is great, having tested several of the previous models this is just as good if not better for that immersive audio experience you would expect to find from the SXFI range..

Primarily these are aimed at gamers but can be used in other scenarios so limited to an extent and I had to find a way to use them elsewhere this does depend though on what you are connected to they will not work on any tv I have or my projectors but do so on my phone. If you want to plug these in direct you can with the 3.5 mm cable but useless without the app hence why I say they should be just an open BT connection.

There is controls on the headset and a removable mic which is great and the volume control is a wheel rather than buttons which I like and then you have the super x-fi button which changes the tune altogether you also have the cool led rings around the cups for a nice effect even though you cant see it personally really but it is a nice touch nonetheless.

For gaming they are great for long term use and worth it and very comfortable and notice no sweating even with hours of non stop gaming this will depend on the day though and might change somewhat in the hotter days I will come back to that again when we do get some hot weather as we are expecting some next week..

Hermitage: Strange Case Files, Launches on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Steam This Summer #Gaming

Giiku Games is excited to announce it will bring gripping paranormal horror adventure Hermitage: Strange Case Files to PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Steam this summer.

Having already made waves in China, acclaimed story-driven studio Arrowiz’s latest is being fully localised for a western release across all major platforms, bringing the game’s sinister brand of mystery and investigation to an entirely new audience.

The aforementioned ‘Hermitage’ is a quirky and altogether curious bookshop stood at the crossroads of a lonely junction, serving as a port of call for only the most eccentric of book worms. The store’s manager – usually to be found casting a critical eye over Hermitage’s patrons with a cigarette in his hand – is used to endearing oddities perusing his dusty shelves, but when one customer comes in searching for literature to solve the mystery behind some particularly lucid ritualistic dreams.

Hermitage: Strange Case Files is what Chinese developer Arrowiz does best: an engaging mystery wrapped up in a multi-layered and immersive story where every line of dialogue is an important cog in the wheel that is the game’s overarching narrative,” says Rinalda Faraian, Product Manager at Giiku Games. “It’s important then that we do the script justice, and we can’t wait to bring this new localised version to gamers on console and PC this summer.”

With Hermitage: Strange Case Files causing its protagonist to question the lines between fantasy and reality, players take on the role of said bookshop owner –  a former anthropology professor who has strangely never been seen outside of Hermitage. With the help of a hacker genius on the run, a self-proclaimed detective and a short-tempered legal consultant, players will need to get to the bottom of a series of horrific incidents, taking on the supernatural horrors that lurk between the pages of Hermitage’s weird and wonderful book collection.

Hermitage: Strange Case Files features:

  • A unique adventure with a multi-layered story and a visual novel style
  • Interviews with characters where choosing the approach that matches their personality serves up important leads
  • Clues discovered through TV news, online forums, phone messages and emails
  • Analyze characters and events using an interactive pinboard
  • Investigate character backstories to discover secrets
  • Match your intel with your suspicions to uncover the truth
  • Take your adventure on a new path by unlocking various storylines with your choices
