Black Desert launches crossover content based on Netflix Original Series, Cursed. #Trailer #Netflix

Pearl Abyss and Kakao Games announced today that they are developing in-game content for Black Desert based on the Netflix Original Series, Cursed. Netflix’s Cursed is a ten-episode medieval high fantasy series that premiered on the popular streaming service on July 17, 2020.

More details on the currently in development crossover content will be released soon, but to celebrate the premiere of Cursed and to make sure that everyone can join in the fun once the crossover content is available, Black Desert Online will be free to download starting today from blackdesertonline.com. If Adventurers are able to reach level 50 between July 23rd and August 5th, the game is theirs to keep.

Cursed is a re-imagining of the Arthurian legend, told through the eyes of Nimue, a teenage heroine with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake. After her mother’s death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a young mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword. Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins, and their complicit King Uther.

The series was adapted by comic book legend Frank Miller and screenwriter Tom Wheeler and stars Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why), Devon Terrell (Barry) and Gustaf Skarsgård (Vikings).

Black Desert Console receives new class, Hashashin, as a timed exclusive. #PearlAbyss #BlackDesert

Pearl Abyss announced today that adventurers who play Black Desert on console can look forward to playing a brand new class coming later this month. Hashashin is the 19th character to be added to the popular MMORPG and will be playable on console very soon as a timed exclusive.

Hashashin is Aal’s warrior, who can manipulate sandstorms with the power of the native Valencian god. For example, he has a skill that allows him to imbue the memory of a specific place in a sandstorm which allows him to instantly move to that place, given that he is not too far away. He can also create sandstorms to chase enemies or ambush them from above. As a desert dweller, he can travel slightly faster in the desert and has mildly higher resistance to desert diseases compared to other classes. He engages in melee combat with the Shamshir sword as his main weapon.

Starting today, adventurers can pre-create their Hashashin in Black Desert’s famed character creator. Those who do can look forward to some nice rewards like Inventory +4 Expansion Coupon, Secret Book of Old Moon, Blessed Message Scroll, and Black Cloaked Cat.

Pearl Abyss is adding a new co-op boss raid mode, a new quest, tier 5 pets and new gear available for production in the latest update for Black Desert Mobile.

  • Ancient Ruin Season 2 – This co-op boss raid mode is beginning its second season on Black Desert Mobile with an even more powerful boss, Kabuamilles. While his name might be familiar to Adventurers who defeated him in the name of Ancient Warrior, he is back and more terrifying than ever before with the new title of “Protector.” By defeating Ancient Ruin, adventurers can look forward to more precious loot and knowledge on Kabuamilles up to level 50.
  • The Bounty Mission Quest – Adventurers who completed the story quest in Southwest Calpheon can get the Bounty Mission quest from the notice board. By completing this quest, Adventurers can receive rewards such as Black Stone, a Shakatu Exchange Certificate, and a Standard Palette. The randomized rewards for the quest will be different every time and can only be obtained twice a day.
  • JIN Liverto Gear – This gear is now available for production by blacksmiths at the camp. Adventurers will need Magical Residue and 2 pieces of Socket Mystical gear to produce the JIN Liverto Gear. This new gear is not just powerful, but also has one additional socket for a magical crystal.
  • Tier 5 Pets – Tier 5 pets can now be acquired by exchanging tier 4 pets! These pets boast unique skills such as raised attacking and defense points, more damage, and a higher filed silver drop rate.

Awakened Skills Now Available for Striker & Tamer Classes in Black Desert (PS4) #Gaming #tech #BlackDesert

Pearl Abyss today released a free update to Black Desert on PlayStation 4, bringing Awakening Events for Striker and Tamer classes that boost their combat power. In addition, fairy companions have been added to support adventurers, and world bosses Quint and Muraka are now available.

Striker Awakened Skills

  • Echo Spirit – Summon the Striker’s spiritual alter-ego to bring down the apocalypse onto enemies.
  • Infernal Destruction – Bring down enemies with a leg-sweep followed by a powerful punch.
  • Skull Crusher – Spin in the air and and use the momentum to knock enemies down with a downward kick.
  • Rampaging Predator – Relentlessly chase down enemies and unleash a flurry of attacks.

Tamer Awakened Skills

  • Allround Spinner – Spins the Celestial Bo Staff around, striking enemies from all directions.
  • Legendary Beast Dance – Channel the spirits of the four legendary beasts through your Celestial Bow Staff to perform different attacks on your enemies.
  • Flow: Cloud Ride – Using the Celestial Bo Staff, Tamer launches herself forwards dealing damage and knocking enemies down.

Fairy Companions

  • Fairies offer great utility in Black Desert offering skills which help you on your travels. These celestial beings can provide auto-potions and Desert drinks, instant resurrections and more!

New World Bosses

  • Quint – As the first ancient troll, Quint is a statue-like being that will be difficult to topple. Since he does not take damage while standing, it is imperative to take out his legs first, where adventurers can unleash attacks on his relatively weak body.
  • Muraka – Emerging from the thick woods of Mansha forest, Muraka brings death and destruction to anyone foolish enough to stand in his way. While relatively slow, he unleashes incredibly powerful attacks that only increase in power when enraged.
