Tech Review – Hoyee eyes AFFORDABLE smart glasses #Hoyee #SmartGlasses #Tech

There has been many attempts of eyewear going the full distance being smart and have not worked out for the best but this has given ideas to other means how you could use your glasses and here is one idea that is executed rather well and keeps things simple, With multiple options to pick from you are not stuck with a low stock selection but you can get several colours and several options to customise and different styles too which is great and the two we have today are the Navigator and Viva which both work the same and do a good job when it comes to listening to music in style with a relatively stylish pair of Sunglasses to boot.

The concept is simple however once again we have proprietary charging which annoys me and most folk in the tech world but it is what it is and it can be forgiven, In short you pair your device to these glasses and the music comes out via a speaker on each arm, they are constructed rather well too. One thing to note though is external leakage and at high volumes those beside you on a train for example might not fancy your taste in music or whatever you might be listening to but you can turn the volume down and I feel best use case scenarios is at home in private, walking or perhaps less populated cramped spaces and be it public transport now with its limitations you would get away with it.

The sound is quite decent and not overly loud for obvious reasons, you are limited however when it comes to controls but enough is there to make them functional other than keeping your peepers safe from the sun, there is a touch sensitive are on each side to control the music with play and pause and skip track and you can access your voice assistant to and overall the sound is quite clear, you will not get the same effects are earbuds or headphones but its like two small speakers held up to your ears in short and they do a decent job, for the fashion conscious that is up to you if you decide these frames are one you can wear.

Overall these are not for everyone but it is still a relatively new technology and spending over the price these come in at is something many would shy away from especially from the likes of Huawei we are now seeing glowing reviews from which is nothing new here, in short you could buy a decent set of earbuds and sunglasses with the price they command.

Containerization For Enterprise Companies: From DevOps To Cloud

Containerization is a very important application development factor, allowing enterprise company developers and engineers to eliminate the need for virtual machines. Using containers for an application project ensures a lightweight, faster, and more secure app.

Container images are certainly popular among developers, and enterprise company stakeholders. Why? Faster and more secure development equals more profits and greater market share among competitors.

Most industries utilizing container images are within IT services. However, there are a number of other industries using containerization like healthcare, finance, retail, and telecommunications.

Docker may come to mind when thinking about containerization, as well as JFrog Container Registry; and Kubernetes. For instance, 69 percent of organizations use Kubernetes to manage container files.

Having a container registry compliments Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes, giving enterprise companies insight into their Docker images and Kubernetes clusters.

Understanding containerization more can prove useful for all parties invested in application development and deployment via containers. Nearly every aspect of an enterprise company is impacted by digital transformations within DevOps, microservices, cloud, and legacy.

The following strategies can help alleviate some enterprise concerns when it comes to containers. Let’s dive in!

Containerization & DevOpsThere are generally two areas of an IT department in an enterprise company — Ops and development. The operations team and the development team once operated separately, but companies have learned that having DevOps teams in place, along with professionals certified in Cloud Computing Courses, is critical to project success.

Containerization has a major impact on DevOps, and the processes within an enterprise companies DevOps environment. Ensuring developers play a larger reaching role when it comes to operations is essential. Developers need to pass code to operations, but also be invested in how well that code will run down the road.

Prior to containers, developers would simply pass error heavy code and installation instructions. Containers changed this, thus revolutionizing the way application development and deployment is done. In a way, containerization synergized DevOps. To gain in-depth knowledge by signing up for the Intellipaat DevOps course to master various aspects of software development, operations, and deployment.

Developers do not just build application artefacts anymore. They create and pass a container image with built-in artifact and artefact running environment. This makes the container image an all-encompassing file, containing OS library, middleware, and more.

DevOps teams can be sure that the container will run the same way from development stage to production stage. This is what makes containerization powerful for enterprise companies.

Containerization & Cloud

Cloud is definitely a must in today’s high-level digital ecosystem. For enterprise companies, cloud strategy is a must-have in order to stay effective, efficient, productive, and competitive.

If cloud strategy is not in place, developers will find ways to make cloud a thing, which could be costly for your company. Cloud predictions for 2020 were spot on just two years ago.

In fact, 83 percent or more of an enterprise’s workload is stored on the cloud. Other cloud computing statistics include:

Over 80 percent of enterprise companies have a multi-cloud strategy

67 percent of enterprise infrastructure is cloud based

Platform-as-a-Service will increase by 56 percent

It is definitely hard to deny the wide-spread adoption of cloud computing. This makes cloud strategy essential for enterprise companies. And with that strategy comes containerization.

How? Well, cloud commonly serves up virtual machines. What eliminates the need for virtual machines? Containers. Containers are leaner than virtual machines, thus the ability to pack more containers within a virtual machine. Instead of one app per virtual machine, you get more development bang for your buck.

However, navigating the growing number of cloud vendors can be tricky for enterprise companies. Cloud vendors like Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and others all provide public cloud services for companies.

This is great, but as a company, you want to ensure you are not backing yourself into a corner when it comes to your cloud strategy. Each public cloud service has unique protocols and environments to tend to. You want to steer clear of being vendor specific.

This is why portability is critical to app development utilizing containers. With containerization within your development environment, your DevOps team can create and run applications that will run across a variety of systems. This eliminates the need to be cloud vendor specific.

Containerization & Microservices

Microservices had a boost in 2018. Studies a few years ago found that over 60 percent of enterprises were adopting microservices of some kind, even cloud microservices. The adoption continues today with nearly 30 percent of software developers saying their companies are migrating to microservices.

Microservices certainly have value, since developers can break down apps into bite-size services with each smaller service having its own specific job. The microservices are also all written in multiple programming languages managed by a team that can make quick changes and updates.

Easy, lean, and fast development processes you see microservices providing are supported by containerization. Containers are the core of these microservices, since they too are easy to create and portable. In many ways, containers and microservices are tethered in today’s software development environment.

Why do you need containers for microservices? Microservices do serve up simplicity. However, this simplicity can also bring about complexity in the development process. To deploy and orchestrate microservices effectively, containers are needed to reduce those complexities.

For instance, containers can support microservices by:

  • Ensuring flexibility, allowing developers to deploy on any infrastructure
  • Implementing design patterns in a non-specific programming language
  • Keeping code non-complex

This makes it essential to choose the right container platform when it comes to running microservices within your enterprise company. There are plenty of choices out there. However, you need to consider that many of the choices can back you into a corner, leaving you with very vendor specific processes.

Wrapping Up . . .

Containerization for enterprise companies really comes down to three major strategies: DevOps, Cloud, and Microservices. Having the ability to implement all three of these strategies in some way can lead to even more successful software and application development. What is your future container strategy?

Review – The Urbanista London true wireless with ANC. #UrbanistaLondon #TWS #Tech

The Urbanista London are the latest on offer from the company and out of the gate these are the best implementation of ANC in True Wireless I have seen to date, Harder to do on earbuds than headphones they have got this one right and to top it off sound great too across the board but mainly with ANC turned on which will impede battery life, these laugh at the AIRPODS and cost less and fit like a charm too.

These come with a wireless charging case too which is excellent and again bringing the latest features to true wireless features costing less, We also have USB- C charging on deck too with around 25 hours of battery life with 5 hours per charge but with ANC on you get around 4/4.5 hours which is fine, I suggest leaving ANC on for optimal sound and experience and you of course get an ambient mode too.The charge case also offers a reset/pairing button too.

Controls are simple to use once you spend time on them, you have a small area on top where the urbanista branding is and here is where you need to tap, it is a small area but you will get the idea after some use like many touch based earbuds are today and you will be able to execute the commands in no time. .

The controls are as follows.

PLAY
Tap the logo (1) on the Left (L) earbud twice.
PAUSE – Tap the logo (1) on the Left (L) earbud twice.
VOLUME (+) – Tap the logo (1) on the Right (R) earbud.
VOLUME (-) – Tap the logo (1) on the Left (L) earbud.
ANSWER INCOMING CALL – Touch the logo (1) on the Left (L) or the Right (R) earbud twice.
END A CALL Touch the logo (1) on the Left (L) or the Right (R) earbud twice.
REJECT A CALL- Touch and hold either the logo (1) on the Left (L) or the Right (R) earbud.
SIRI – Touch the logo (1) on the Right (R) earbud twice.
ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLING ON/OFF – Touch and hold the logo (1) on the Right (R) earbud for 2 seconds.
AMBIENT VOICE MODE ON/OFF Touch and hold the logo (1) on the Left (L) earbud for 2 seconds.

OK so you can see what is missing here, You cant skip or reverse tracks which is kind of annoying however it is not a huge deal for me, there is also no app support, someday Urbanista might develop one, The option not to skip or reverse tracks is an odd one for me left out but hey if you get the fantastic sound these deliver I do not honestly care it is all about sound with earbuds and these out of the box just hit that spot. You cant use these individually either which might be an issue for some.

They are super comfortable and will not budge either, this is another thing to factor in they also are not bulky and rest nicely giving you easy access to control them,When it comes to sound they have hit done it again they sound great, good bass, direction, generally fine across all soundstages and so on,I will put it this way ,put these in turn on ANC and feel immersed in the sound,Ideal for You Tube,Music and Netflix and so on you will be impressed ,trust me I test enough earbuds to know what it good and what it rubbish, these shine mainly with ANC on but take a battery hit.

Battery life is on par with their claims and it is fine, a bit lower than some competitors out there but it is no big deal with the case giving you around 20 hours of playtime so ideal for long commutes and travel, Urbanista have multiple earbuds out now on offer and deliver all the time improving each time and these are their best to date and give other a run for their money full stop costing you €149 euro plus not forgetting our discount code TECHBUZZIE at the link below.

Create your own opera inspired song with Blob Opera #BlobOpera #Google

Blob Opera is a machine learning experiment by David Li in collaboration with Google Arts and Culture. This experiment plays four opera voices in real time, No singing skills required!

Google developed a machine learning model trained on the voices of four opera singers in order to create an engaging experiment for everyone, regardless of musical skills. Tenor, Christian Joel, bass Frederick Tong, mezzo‑soprano Joanna Gamble and soprano Olivia Doutney recorded 16 hours of singing. In the experiment you don’t hear their voices, but the machine learning model’s understanding of what opera singing sounds like, based on what it learnt from them.

How it works:
Drag the blobs up and down to change pitch. Or forwards and backwards for different vowel sounds. Another machine learning model lets the blobs respond to and harmonise your input in real time. Here is one I made –  Check it out it is fun..

Tech Review – Edifier G2 II USB gaming headphones. #Edifier #Gaming #Tech

Edifier recently launched the G2 II gaming headset and we have been testing it out and as expected with any product from Edifier no matter the price point they deliver on the audio aspect even at entry level prices which is the same for their TWS earbuds, One of their cheapest earbuds for example the X3 TWS that come in at approx. 35 euros deliver on sound and quality at this price point and excels others. With their gaming headphone range this is no different and this is an affordable headset that delivers.

There is a simple inline control panel that allows you to turn on/off the mic and switch on/off the RGB effects and a volume wheel on the side it could not be easier to use although there is no EQ built in for tone adjustment which is fine the sound that comes from the headset is well balanced and will immerse you into the gameplay and blocks all external noise. Comfort would be another factor here to weigh in on as most gamers spend hours on their gameplay and these are fine here too with the soft cups and headband , The mic is good too with clear sound both ends and overall it will be an enjoyable experience for whoever picks these up.

Irish Agency Creates AI Christmas Cards Painted by Van Gogh & Written by William Butler Yeats. #AI #Christmas2020

Irish creative agency, Connector by Granite, has used AI to bring back Van Gogh and William Butler Yeats to create their Christmas cards this year. The company trained neural networks to recognise patterns in the source data from Van Gogh’s starry night and transpose it to iconic Dublin Christmas scenes. The project also tasked the AI with learning all poems by Irish poet, William Butler Yeats, to produce a special new poem to lift spirits in celebration of Christmas.

Goodbye 2020,

Long live the Future.

The air grew still, and then

A murmurous laugh arose;

A starlight glimmered through,

A misty and hazy fire.

Together with kindred spirits

Every soul should seek,

For music that can burn

And love is all around

But no, farewell;

A starlight glimmering through, a misty and hazy fire.

– William Butler Yeats

According to Ivan Adriel, Creative Strategy Director: “Connector has always been an agency with creativity in our DNA and this year we were acquired by Granite Digital – Ireland’s biggest digital agency.  We wanted to merge the power of technology and creativity to show that AI can open new realms of creative possibility, in contrast to dystopic headlines heralding technology as the death of creativity.”

In an effort to avoid waste, the company is not posting cards this year but is sending them to clients by email.

Ergotron supports video gamers with ergonomic products. #Ergotron #Gaming #Tech

Ergotron, a global company focused on improving how people work, learn, play and care for others, has today announced the release of a complete range of ergonomic supports for video-game enthusiasts to improve their comfort, concentration and immersion when gaming. As the choice and design of screens continues to grow, gamers now must look into optimising the ergonomics of their workstations if they want to stay focused for longer and improve their performance while avoiding injury and pain.

There are an estimated staggering 2.7 billion gamers across the globe. Although boys aged under 18 make up 17% of all gamers, the average age for gamers is 34 years old. A flexible experience

Ergotron also offers wall mounts for large screens that are uniquely robust and technical. Some offer a screen-height adjustment of more than 50cm effortlessly and without the need for extra tools. The most seasoned gamers will appreciate keeping the screen at the correct height at all times, whether they are playing seated or standing.
All technical product information is available on the website: www.ergotron.com. A configurator, accessible from the homepage, provides access to all compatible products from a screen reference.
