Kinetic Ireland launches new In-House Digital Division; D:FOUR. #Kinetic #Digital #DOOH

Kinetic Ireland, the Out of Home (OOH) media agency, is delighted to announce the launch of its new Digital Out of Home (DOOH) system and division; D:FOUR. The dynamic system is powered by an in-house content management system that allows content, creative, moderation, preview and dynamic ad-serving from a centralised platform at its Dublin headquarter. The new division will be headed up by Rachel McCloskey, who has been with Kinetic since 2015.

Digital OOH currently accounts for 15% of total OOH spend but this is expected to grow to 19% in 2018.  The introduction of new digital formats from a number of media owners across 2018 + 2019 will help attract new advertisers and new ways of using the medium.

D:FOUR aims to improve how the market is currently using Digital Out of Home and to provide clients with more data-driven and dynamic campaigns. D:FOUR will provide endless scope for creativity as Kinetic innovates new ways to reach consumers by bringing various data sources together with brand insights in order to create and build reactive campaigns. The system will integrate seamlessly with media owner scheduling systems enabling innovative, dynamic campaigns.

The innovative name for the new division, D:FOUR derives from the elements the system will use to contextually connect with audiences;

  • Dynamic referring to the endless possibility for creativity within the new system.
  • Data-Driven ensuring that data sits at the core of the platform acting either as a trigger to allow serving of dynamic messages or as content.
  • Digital Out of Home is the network of digital screens which allows bespoke messaging drawing relevance from locations, mindsets and environments.

In anticipation of D:FOUR’s release Rachel McCloskey, Account Manager of Kinetic said, Our new D:FOUR system will have a positive influence on how our clients use Digital OOH to connect with consumers throughout the day. The system allows bespoke, contextually relevant messaging which in turn will enable us to further connect with audiences on a more personal level. Research has shown that the use of contextual, dynamic content can lead to an additional sales uplift by 8% .

Kinetic will be hosting a seminar on Dynamic Digital OOH in May to introduce D:FOUR, explore the dynamic capabilities of DOOH and highlight how clients and agencies can take advantage of the new D:FOUR platform.

Simon Durham, CEO for Kinetic added “D:FOUR will hugely benefit our clients and agencies and we look forward to demonstrating our new system at our seminar in May. The seminar will allow us to effectively demonstrate how our advanced system will assist our clients in creating contextually relevant advertising. Digital Out of Home now has more in common with digital online and we should be aligning these strategies to reach consumers effectively.”

Mishiko Launches Its Revolutionary GPS and Activity Tracker #Pets #Dogs #Health

Mishiko, the global organisation dedicated to developing the very best solutions for the monitoring and improvement of dog’s welfare, is pleased to announce the UK launch of its GPS and activity tracker, Mishiko. Designed not only to keep your dog safe but to improve its wellbeing Mishiko is a must-have for dog owners everywhere. Mishiko is now available in black and white from Amazon.co.uk.

In the UK, it is estimated nearly 1.2M dogs go missing each year, with a large portion of them never returning home. The Mishiko Collar lowers this stat by giving a dogs’ real-time coordinates with up to 4m accuracy and with Mishiko’s global SIM-chip, it is possible to track a dog from anywhere in the world. It works with a mobile app, available for both iOS and Android, which also allows users to set geographic ‘stray’ limits to ensure their dog has not roamed too far.

Obesity is the number one problem for domestic dogs in the UK with rates increasing alarmingly and this condition can reduce a dog’s life expectancy by around 2.5 years. With Mishiko, dog owners are always aware of their furry friend’s daily activity levels and the unique algorithm determines the characteristics of over 600 breeds using the dog’s individual data: weight, age and sex.

The app also allows users to create a pet profile to track their dog’s activity level day-by-day, set new goals, and monitor them. The Mishiko App is more than just a collar add-on; it’s a hub for storing info about a dog’s health and a network of fellow dog owners. Dog owners can go for a walk with Mishiko every day, set new goals and turn it into an exciting game for their pet.

When he lost his beloved dog Misha, Matus Horak, CEO of Mishiko EU, knew all too well how traumatic losing a pet is, but he was unable to find a product to fit his needs – so the idea for the Mishiko Collar was born. Teaming up with Matus, a Slovak ecommerce manager with a marketing and digital background and Ekaterina Sedinina, a telecom business owner, they created a prototype of the Mishiko device – named in tribute to Matus’ lost dog, ‘Misha.’

Matus comments: “I’m so proud of the Mishiko collar, and hope dog owner’s like myself, will enjoy using it with their pets, and give them some peace of mind that they can be re-united with their four-legged friends at the touch of a button. We’ve designed this product with the health of your pet in mind, with a fantastic app which will let you track your dog’s weight and activity to keep them fighting fit!”

Available internationally, the Mishiko Collar is one of the most advanced dog’s GPS and activity trackers on the market.

Smartphones are everywhere. Unfortunately, since the existence of smartphones has escalated, there has also been an alarming surge in the amount of virus attacks on smartphones.

Virus attacks, like other types of malware, are really brutal and may leave you with multiple problems such as stolen personal data, or inflated bills. The best way to steer clear of viruses, adware and malicious bugs on your smartphone is by taking preventive measures and being observant of key signs that indicate your smartphone has a virus.

The following are sure-fire signs that your smartphone has been infected with a virus, or other type of malware. If your smartphone exhibits the following signs, then it is time to examine it further and know what may be causes it.

  • Pop-ups out of nowhere: If your smartphone suddenly shows pop-ups and invasive advertisements on your smartphone, then that it is definitely a sign that your smartphone has adware or malware. Pop-ups that come from nowhere and links to suspicious websites means you unknowingly installed an application with an adware on your device. Recall any recent applications you downloaded and identify which one brought a virus on your phone, then uninstall the application immediately.
  • Increased data usage: When a malicious bug attacks your phone, it eats up your phone’s data source to display advertisements or convey information from your phone. If you notice an alarming rise in data usage, it could mean that a malware has infected your smartphone.
  • Battery drains faster: Malware attacks eat up your smartphone’s resources to power up the infection. If you phone’s battery suddenly drains and runs out of juice often, then it may indicate a malware attack. Go to the battery settings of your phone and identify which application is using up the power.
  • Unexplained messages and phone calls: Another sign that your smartphone has a virus infection is if your receive unknown messages and phone calls on your phone. Viruses or other malware duplicate by circulating from one smartphone to another via emails, texts, etc.

Sends spam messages to your contacts: If a virus infects your phone, it may transmit strange messages, usually with links to all of your contacts. In the event that your contacts receive spam messages from you, then the odds of having a virus on your phone is high.

  • Do not click the links: Tell your friends not to click on the links or open any spam messages from you.
  • Install effective anti-virus software: Also, install an efficient anti-virus program for your smartphone.

  • Poor performance and overheating: Malware attacks such as worms, adware, viruses, and others, use up your smartphone’s resources to transmit malicious intent. Thus, your phone will begin to heat up due to the damages inflicted by the virus.

  • Extremely slow: If begin to notice that your smartphone is performing awfully slow and heats up real fast even though you are not using it, then it is likely that your phone is infected by malware.
  • Scan and clean: Clean your phone by installing a good antivirus application such as Bitdefender, Norton, Avast, etc.

  • Sudden emergence of unfamiliar application: This is a very common sign of a virus attack on a smartphone. However, it is often overlooked. Malware can find their way into your phone through applications that you have downloaded.

    • They ride with installed application: Usually, they piggyback on applications and you will not even notice that you have installed a malware until you notice threatening signs.
    • Download only from Play Store: It is so much safer to download application from the Play Store for your phone’s security. Also, ensure that the applications are well-rated, and read consumer reviews before downloading or installing.

  • Uninstall unfamiliar application: If you notice any unfamiliar applications, especially ones you haven’t downloaded, then uninstall them ASAP.

  • Internet connection sets on its own: If your phone mysteriously switches your data and Wi-Fi connections without your command, then it could be done by a virus. Malware attacks can override your phone’s preferences and connect to the internet on its own. If you notice any strange internet activity, scan your device for viruses and clean it using an antivirus program.
