Review – The Sharp Aquos Soundpartner Neckband speaker. #Sharp #Tech

There is several similar products like this around but this is the first for me to check out and it is something new and a new take on the use of tech which is good to see, We can get bluetooth speakers in any size shape or form today that do a good job but this is something different and over the time I have used this it has grown on me.

You will not be wearing this jogging in the park so lets get that out of the way as it will bounce on your shoulder and you might want to wear it in public but keep the volume low but it is not super loud but still something you will not be wearing in a crowded area like a bus or a train as others will have to put up with what you listen too..

What I do find it great for though is if you have an empty house or room connect what you like and stick it on full blast and be immersed in sound in a different way that we are custom to like surround sound in your home or cinema, this brings you that much closer, A personal setting like no other you really need to try it to understand what I mean. Controls are easy to use too with a volume rocker, a power on/off switch, play and pause button and voice assistant button it is simple and executes the ease of use quite well.

Given it has limitations in one area it has more in other and that is on connecting to other external devices like your TV games console or laptop and feel the sound surround you in a different way. When it comes to the sound it is good, clear and sharp and well balanced all round but not much bass noticed but the sound is decent and punchy and great direction with movies as an example if a plane or car was to fly by you get the same effect on the speaker as you would a good pair of earphones and its not all central and boring.

I did notice the sound is better from your smarpthone perhaps due to the distance but you cant complain either if you are to use for gaming and more as you feel part of the picture in a weird kind of way and you get over it rather quickly too and there is a notable difference between say two bluetooth speakers placed either side of you in the house, that said the speakers would be louder but these are right up at your ears more or less and suck you in and it is a new way to sit back and enjoy something on your own when you have the chance to do so, it is a niche product now but I can see this morph into other and bigger ideas going forward its just the case if you are willing to spend the money and give it a go.

Review – The @JuiceOfficialUK eco friendly case for iphone 11. #Eco #Tech #iPhone11

Juice have recently just launched a new line of eco friendly (compostable) cases for iPhone and something we will see more of in the coming years which of course is good for the environment and so much talk about climate change of late in the news and Juice is one of these companies that have got the ball rolling in this department.

The range of cases is pretty nice with a variety of cases and colours to chose from without the loss of protection on your expensive mobile phone and they look well, give you some additional grip and feel good to hold, Not only that the keys work fine with good travel and also all the ports and cuts outs remain the same not loosing any functionality.  The device can be placed either face or back down too giving you protection on both sides of the device yet making your phone stand out especially when it is face down. Check out the video below for more.

The cases are available in grey, blue, pink, white and black and the dyes used to achieve these five colourways are produced from natural and abundant sources such as bamboo, mai and tea.

With an RRP of £19.99, the compostable cases are available in iPhone 6, 7, 8, 11 and 11 Pro and can be purchased from: www.juice.co.uk & www.urbanoutfitters.com

Review – The Tranya B530 Pro True Wireless. #TranyaB530Pro #TrueWireless

The Tranya B530 Pro true wireless are an affordable pair of earbuds which offer what you would expect for the price they come in at but deliver on sound too which is important. Having tested these for some time now the battery life is excellent just to start with and they have quick charge on board too giving you around an hour in a ten minute charge which is nice and they also have a total of ten or so hours on a single charge and up to 70-80 hours from the case in total which is at the higher end of the market here..

These offer really god balanced sound overall and users will be happy with the experience provided here with simple to use touch controls that can be a little sensitive at first but you will get use to this as you would any other earbud with touch controls over time. In general the controls work well with simple to use commands as you will see in the video review.

These also give good passive noise isolation when fitted with the correct tips which is also good and remain solid in the ears, what I did like is these did not press hard on your ears when using the touch controls as some can that I have tested in the past these are comfortable all over. When it comes to build they are made with plastic and light weight too and do not protrude so much when in the ears, there is bigger ones out there.. Trust me.

Sound is good you can use in mono or stereo and use individually which is nice, there is no app to give you extra enhancement but no need for it unless you are a true audiophile, the do have aptx though which is great, the bass is nice, highs lows and mids good and good separation across all genres of music, On using in my usual test path there was no lag latency on Netflix or You Tube which is nice and voice is crystal clear with good direction too so overall well balanced and a great listening experience and nice and loud too which for me is always a win.

Only things missing is not auto play/pause no wireless charging case and Micro USB charging but at the price you cant complain for the package as whole that delivers good audio.

Review – The Plantronics Voyager 6200 UC headphones. #Tech #Plantronics

If you need a new pair of neckband headphones these are something to look at right away.. Having used these for some time now they passed my expectations in all aspects delivering on quality and how they sound, these are loud.

With a solid build a rubberised texture these will last and they also have easy to use functions and several buttons placed on them in a convenient manner and work quite well. Featuring all the needs you would come to expect such as call control, Play,Pause Skip and reverse tracks and volume control these are ideal for those on the go and you also have your voice assistant at hand should you require it.

Call quality is top notch for those who would use these in an office environment but these really do shine when it comes to music and more. On my usual testing on You Tube and Netflix these really did really threw me off guard when it came to the sound. These pack a punch and are loud and that is how I like it, Good bass and direction, great on highs lows and mids and overall a superb experience to be had and no lag latency when it comes to streaming and so on. These are at the higher end when it comes to price but they are worth it. Check the video review out for more.

Review – The Ludos ULTRA earphones. #Tech #Ludos #earphones

The Ludos Ultra earphones are their next product after the Clamor that comes with much improvement in looks style and sound too and at a price that is super affordable if you are in the market for a new pair of earphones, These are a simple plug and play with an inline control that offers call control, Volume and play and pause and that is it. Keeping it simple as you do with most wired headphones there is a market out there for them still and the headphone jack is not done yet by any means.

These have got magnetic ends too so they will not dance all over the place when not in use and you can also avail of the carry bag included in the nice case they come in which is a nice presentation for the price, there is no pairing or any of that malarkey going on here either you just pop them in your headphone jack if you have one and if not they work perfectly fine with an adaptor too.

Sound is where it matters though and these really sound good with a bright crisp clean punchy performance with a perfect balance across the board, They do have an element of bass however nothing overlaps with sound nothing stands out over the other with all genres of music and good highs lows and mids and separation like I said these are a simple plug and play with better materials this time around and give decent passive isolation too when plugged in the the sponge memory foam similar to comply foam tips so this overall gives a good feel and sound to your music experience.

You often see earphones in local euro shops and petrol stations now costing up to 20 euros and more and you may skip them as they are total rubbish it is a safe bet to check these out rather than take a risk on a shoddy pair you will find in the mentioned outlets above they are a common scene along with true wireless and generally trash.

Review – The Plantronics Calisto personal speakerphone. #Plantronics #Calisto #Tech

The Plantronics Calisto is a nice compact portable speakerphone that can be used in more than one capacity, Mainly aimed at the the office type situation this can also be used in a personal capacity at home too or even on travel as it is small, durable and portable. With the option to connect with USB A cable or 3.5 mm you are not limited but there is no bluetooth option here which would have been nice but it is not a huge caveat given  most people today prefer the bluetooth connection method but think of the battery life your saving.

This cicrular speaker is not the loudest one in the world I have tried but offers easy to use functions and give off a spatial surround sound so this is ideal for a smaller office environment rather than a large on or a desk with a few people sat around it for call and so on and if connected to your PC it will offer a better listening experience for everyone in the vicinity of it.

Call quality is good and you have the option to mute this and swap between profiles which are music and calls. You can charge the device via Micro USB or via your laptop or PC via the USB A cable. You can also connect this to your smartphone by the way which is a great idea and not tying you to one device.

Overall the quality is not bad at all and it does have some cool lights on one side similar to what we have seen like the Jabra 710 speak we checked out some time ago. When it comes to buttons there is not much to take in here with the volume control a call key and mute key it is simple to use. Check out the video review below for more..

Review – The UMI W8 true wireless earbuds. #UMI #TrueWireless #Amazon

The UMI W8 from Amazon are an affordable pair of true wireless earbuds that offer all the needs for those on a budget with plenty of specs to write home about and they do offer similar features you expect to find in more expensive earbuds. Having used these for some time now they fall into the entry level category but offer some things often left out at more expensive earbuds.

The build is plastic and the earbuds are lightweight and the case can be a tad difficult to open at times with micro USB charging and no wireless charging but these would be the only things missing on the case hardware and one other thing missing is no auto pause feature which is fine but they do offer individual charging which for some is a key factor and often left out on more high end earbuds so this is what you have to think about.

The fit is great, they are light and feel cheap at first compared to their sister product and the same applies for the case, The earbuds fit well giving a good seal to begin with which is a great start no matter what. They will not fall out which is also important and you will forget they are there after a few mins use. Overall a comfortable and secure fit offering a deal of external noise isolation too.

Controls are great yet can be sensitive.. You might experience some accidental commands but for the most it is volume which is not bad rather than skip tracks, this is only noted when lying in bed for example which is where I tend to use mine and if your tossing and turning around getting comfortable.. You have volume control, play and pause, skip and reverse tracks, call management and access to your voice assistant which all worked fine during my testing period. Touch based controls can be finicky but these overall fine and on cue.

How they sound is the one thing which people will want to know about here and overall this is good….Overall pretty good, decent volume levels with a nice touch of bass and balanced overall with highs lows and mids, You will not be let down for the money and also there was no lag latency seen on my usual test run, These also shine with Netflix and You Tube giving you a good all around experience both on Android and iOS and if you are into volume they pack a great punch.

Review – The Lindy BNX-100 ANC headphones. #Tech #Lindy #ANC

The Lindy BNX-100 are an affordable pair of headphones that offers some good specs for the price and features too including some omitted ones at that priced at a higher range.

If you want comfort and a clean design these are a pair of headphones to check out and for me they are nice with the bass but lets see what else is in store for you money which will be around the €100 mark.

Comfort wise these are great with sufficient padding all round and that includes the headband and can be worn for long periods of time with no sweat but that might depend on ones environment as more humid rooms may give a different result the cups cover the ear and blocks out the majority of the outside world and this is a good start and they do not clam onto your head either like some cans often do. These will wear well too with their robust design and materials used and easy maintenance and they dont have that glossy finish but more a matte one.

Controls are a gift here and simple to use with buttons on both sides. We have a 3.5 mm socket micro USB port and several buttons to control the music which are raised slightly and easy to navigate blindly and really much better to use than true wireless for example with a one push control to skip or reverse tracks and the we have the ANC button and hear through and all one tap to work and they have been consistent over my test period.

Build quality is good here and one of their better builds over the years and the black and silver combo looks well and its sturdy and again will last I would like to see more colours but Lindy are known for the traditional black and silver products and not forgetting the red ear cups which look good, never mind feel good.

When it comes to the sound they are not the best I have from Lindy but they still deliver, they are loud, punchy good bass good balance and decent separation with direction more centred than travelling and the highs lows and mids are fair. These are more bass driven and have 40mm drivers and the volume up at max with ANC turned on is where they achieve the best scenario for me. They have no lag latency on testing the usual You Tube and Netflix runs I do and have auto play and pause to boot.  Call quality and connection is fine and they will allow you move around 30-40ft away from your phone.

The audio pass through is most welcome too with not having the need to remove your headphones which for me is quite annoying when you want to hear your surroundings or listen to someone trying to communicate with you. Overall I was impressed with the package as a whole and how it is presented with all the extras you get along with the storage case.
