Sony has just unveiled their new phone of 2015 and is a mid-range but has all the bells and whistles it can have.

London, 10th February 2015 – Sony Mobile Communications (“Sony Mobile”) today introduces its new Xperia™ E4 smartphone, offering ease-of-use, big screen entertainment and powerful battery performance in a high-quality yet affordable design.

“With Xperia E4, we wanted to offer people some of the premium Sony features they have come to expect – with unparalleled ease of use – at a highly-competitive price point,” says Tony McNulty, Vice President, Value Category Business Management at Sony Mobile Communications. “With a simple set-up, great screen and unrivalled 2 day battery life we’ve created an on-the-go entertainment device that will keep on going, wherever you are.”


But keeping the beauty Sony has us used to, the devices itself is very attractive if you’re not a power user.

In the internal we have a 5-inch IPS LCD (540 x 960), a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 chipset at 1.3GHz, Android 4.4.4 Kit Kat, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage (only 5 available), a microSD slot, a 5MP – 2MP combo, a 2,300mAh battery and two variants one Single Sim and other Dual Sim.

You can now buy the One Plus One every Tuesday with no invite. by @jimboireland #OnePlus

Lat year the One Plus One launched and had a rather odd business model even i ranted about it openly but in the end,sending invites to buy a phone to me was a rather silly idea but it turned out to be a good idea for them and its one of the best handsets out there today in terms of money thats for sure,its a great device all over and you cant argue its price.

Today we received a mail in our inbox which states the following.

 

Dear Friends,We’ve been shipping the OnePlus One for half a year, and nowadays we’re bumping into lots of people using it when we’re out and about. It’s incredibly exciting for us, but we always strive to do better. Although we have an active and supportive fanbase, a lot of people have interest in the One but have told us that it’s just too difficult to buy. We believe that great things should be shared. Thus, it’s been our goal from the beginning to put our products into the hands of as many people as possible.

Over the past few months, we’ve been exploring new ways of making the OnePlus One easier to purchase. The overall amount of available invites has increased significantly, but we’ve also held pre-order and open sales events, allowing for purchases without the need for an invite. During these events, we have been collecting data and fine-tuning our production schedules.

Today, we’re glad to announce that we’re making it even easier to buy the One.

Every Tuesday, we will open up sales for 24 hours, starting at 8 am London time (midnight in Los Angeles; 4 pm in Hong Kong). The OnePlus One will be available without an invite in both 16GB Silk White and 64GB Sandstone Black.

We are quite fond of our phones and always looking at how we can change them and add content to your device,there is plenty of widgets and apps to do so and there will be always new ones on the scene so its nice to be able to choose.Im more of a widget fan but i do like to have other options at hand such as Z Launcher for example.

Microsoft Garage have now created an app for Android,MS seem to be catering much so for other OSs but the the favour is not really being returned either but thats another days argument.

Picturesque Lock Screen however is quite nice and we have been testing it out and it works quite well and it looks fresh too and it brings content to your homescreen and has the daily image by Bing which can be changed by simply shaking your phone..There is also a range of settings to change how the app works too so you can customize to your own taste..

If you ever think of having an Iphone camera on a Android device now you can! By @VicenteA_George #Android #Iphone #Camu #App

Well not exactly the camera, but the stock camera app of the Iphone Camu is now available for download on the Google Play Store.

I’m not an Iphone fan (maybe the opposite) But I have to admit that the Camera app is pretty quick, simple and sleek.

Also brings a variety of effect and edition options in real time, but is pretty good for just point and shoot.

The app itself claims it will turn your photos in something great! And it’ll probably be very useful for occasional photographers that are not familiar with pro photography

You’ll have  live filters and even that Depth of field effect that only DSLR and some phone can give you.

Don’t waste more time with useless chargers! Choose the right one with the new Ampere app By @VicenteA_George #Android #Ampere

Aren’t you tired of “charging” your phone a few minutes on the go with a borrowed charger or a generic one and disconnecting it just to realize that only 2% or 5% is the difference?

This app will let you know if the charger you’re using is the right one! Using the new Apis of Android 5 – Lollipop you now can see in “real-time” how many juice enter your phone.

This is particulary helpful if you’re in a hurry and will need your phone later.
Sometimes we just borrow a charger from a friend because all of them look the same to us, but in some cases the manufacturer of you firend’s phone use a different kind of charger than yours… And the result will only let you with a bitter taste.

Wireless Security

The DiscGo Charger provides an optional security feature whereby the Charger and/or Disc will alarm (beep and flash) whenever a Disc is outside of radio range for a period of time. This feature is intended to reduce the accidental (or intentional) removal of Discs from a Venue and reduces the loss of Discs. In addition, Discs have a feature whereby Charging is automatically disabled after a settable period of time. This feature prohibits the use of Discs without a Base, discourages theft and limits use. The only way to reset a Disc is by placing it on a Base.

 

Customisability and Branding

Each Disc has a clear plastic cover under which proprietary branding and advertising can be placed. This allows Venues to customise their Disc for their venue. The commercial value of being able to place advertising directly in-front of a patron can also not be understated. In addition, the illumination colour, brightness and audio options on a Disc are configurable to suite the mood of each venue.

What does it cost the consumer?

Usually the end user gets the service for free – the device is leased to the venue for a yearly rate, in return for a unique marketing tool enabling increased exposure, footfall, and adding that extra level of customer care!

We lease the device for a fee per month. (1 Pod and 5 discs allowing up to ten people charge at any given time.)

For a limited time period they are also offering an outright purchasing option.

ASUS ZenWatch now on sale in Ireland it will cost you though. #Asus by @jimboireland #SmartWatch

Last September Asus announced the Zenwatch which looks quite nice,smart watches are still slow taking off here and are still quite expensive which is the problem,having said that you can now buy the likes of Sony Smart Watches cheap enough too and they do not look to bad either to be fair..PC World and Currys are now selling the watch for €279.99

The Zenwatch does sport some nice features but the price is rather high,not much more than the Moto360 which looks even better. But i do like the look of this and its one of the better looking watches out there today.
