Allianz Ireland launches Snap & Quote AI-powered service for 85% faster quotes techbuzzireland.com

Allianz Ireland has launched Snap & Quote, a first-to-market AI-powered service that makes getting a motor insurance quote 85% faster than over the phone and 58% faster than completing a traditional digital quote manually.

The innovative new technology transforms the quoting experience by allowing customers to simply photograph or upload their existing motor insurance renewal document or quote. Using AI, Snap & Quote automatically extracts relevant policy information and pre-populates their details, significantly reducing the need for manual data entry and making it faster and easier to shop around for motor insurance.

Customers can then review the information captured and complete any outstanding details before receiving their Allianz motor insurance quote. The technology extracts policy information only and does not capture the price quoted by a customer’s existing insurer. It is not designed to undercut an existing renewal offer, and the AI itself does not calculate the Allianz premium.

The launch responds to growing customer demand for simpler and more efficient insurance experiences. Allianz research and customer feedback have shown that ease and efficiency are among the most important considerations for consumers when seeking a quote or renewing a policy.

Snap & Quote represents a significant milestone in Allianz Ireland’s ambition to lead the Irish insurance market in transformation and innovation, demonstrating how AI can deliver tangible, measurable improvements to everyday customer experiences.

The launch comes as Allianz Ireland further strengthens its transformation and innovation capabilities, with the appointment of Jane Kidd as Chief Transformation Officer and a member of the company’s Board of Management. In her new role, Jane will lead Allianz Ireland’s transformation agenda, overseeing the strategic development and integration of technology, data and AI to accelerate innovation, strengthen operational efficiency and deliver simpler, more intuitive customer experiences.

Phillip Gronemeyer, Chief Executive Officer at Allianz Ireland, said: “We know customers value having choice in how they interact with us, whether that’s speaking directly to one of our customer service agents or managing their insurance online. With Snap & Quote, we’re using AI to offer another option, making it faster and easier for customers to get a motor insurance quote while retaining the personal support they know and trust.

“Our first-to-market technology demonstrates the potential of AI to make everyday interactions faster, easier and more convenient for customers. Our ambition is to lead the Irish insurance market in transformation and innovation, and Snap & Quote is a tangible demonstration of that commitment. For us, innovation is about making insurance simpler, faster and more intuitive.

“This is just the beginning of our transformation agenda. We see significant opportunities to build on these capabilities and reshape how we serve our customers. The appointment of Jane Kidd as Chief Transformation Officer will be central to driving the next phase of innovation at Allianz Ireland.”
