Lidl Ireland is entering the Irish mobile market with the launch of Lidl Connect, a new premium mobile offering designed to bring the retailer’s focus on value, simplicity and customer experience to mobile customers.
Available from Monday 5th October, Lidl Connect will launch with a limited offer of €8.99 per month at ‘Price for Life’, available to the first 100,000 customers. Lidl Connect will be available exclusively through the retailer’s Lidl Plus app, allowing for a seamless sign-up and ongoing management of the mobile plan in the app already used by millions of Lidl customers for rewards, offers and other services.
Customers can choose between picking up a physical SIM in any Lidl store nationwide for €0.99 or selecting an eSIM and complete registration via the Lidl Plus app.
Lidl Connect customers will be able to enjoy maximum flexibility with Lidl Connect’s monthly rolling plan that offers users no long term commitment as they have the option to cancel at any time. The plan also offers a generous package of unlimited 5G data; unlimited calls and texts to any Irish and UK network; 50GB EU and UK roaming data and 100 international minutes per month to 38+ countries.
Customers moving to Lidl Connect can keep their existing mobile number – or choose a brand new number – with the Lidl Plus journey designed to guide users through sign-up, activation and ongoing management of their plan in one place.
Ireland is the first Lidl market to launch this new concept of Lidl Connect, which builds on Lidl Connect-branded telecommunications propositions already operating in a number of European countries including Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
The new model is designed to provide a simple, competitively priced mobile service that can evolve alongside the wider Lidl Plus customer experience.

Lidl Connect is being delivered with 1GLOBAL, Lidl’s global telecommunications partner, with the service supported by the eir network in Ireland.

The launch forms part of Lidl’s continued development of the Lidl Plus ecosystem, creating additional ways for customers to access value and services through one digital platform, and is the latest ‘Customer First’ initiative by the retailer to provide customers with access to more convenient services, including out of home OOHpod parcel lockers, pay as you go GOcar and van sharing services and simple-to-use deposit return machines.
Lidl Connect SIM cards will be available to purchase for €0.99 in all 192 Lidl stores nationwide from Monday 5th October 2026, while customers with compatible devices will be able to select an eSIM through Lidl Plus.
