The Skullcandy Crusher 1080 ANC headphones have been on my ears the last while and their latest product to hit the market and the crusher ANC with patented crusher bass technology is a favourite of mine having tested the previous iterations over the years and again have delivered exceptional sound and this time around partnered with Bose.
We all know well what that wheel did over the years but now they have finally changed its look and for the better also the design of the headphones are better and the new colours are better I was lucky to get the colour I wanted and not stuck with the standard Black affair this time.
The Skullcandy Crusher 1080 ANC has more refined sound now with the Bose partnership and it is not the first time they have released a product with Bose and we hope to see more going forward.
The question many have asked as I have many friends and family who use Skullcandy are they better than previous models and the answer is yes and the sensory bass which you adjust with the new look toggle is where the magic is they are aimed at bass fans however with the refinement anyone can adopt to these for good audio all round.
The other controls again simple and as before but you can also customise some options inside their app which brings more benefits to these cans and again all of it good and not aiming at one sound signature there is several EQ options plus you can make your own customised sound.
On setting up again as I always advise is to do the the custom sound test this will benefit you in the end on testing any product like this I go from not setting up on one phone and doing it on a second mostly because I test on both Android and iOS these tests work they are not there for decoration or plaudits.
They are comfortable to wear for long periods of time the ANC is better and even when just put on the ears before connecting to a phone you can hear the difference it is great and you will see a notable difference.
With all the other extras on board like TrueSpatial WaveForm and SpeechClarity you will be impressed I tool several calls when using there did some zoom and teams calls and more than usual this time round due to IFA 2026 coming up and it was perfect timing to test and all was good both ends.
Movies music and gaming is also great here podcasts too and overall Skullcandy have delivered a great product with nothing to complain about really and great battery life with ANC on and maxed out volume.The sensory bass though is where it is at and this needs fine tuning on some genres anyone that has been in my house or family for example love it they have not seen it some actually have my older models to this day and love it and it is not an option you see eleswhere or there is no demos for people to try in stores like before and I feel people as missing out.
