According to nPerf data, Ireland shows an average upload speed of 28.2 Mbps on mobile networks between January and July 2026. The country ranks 3rd in upload speed among countries with an area between 50,001 and 100,000 km². At this rate, an Irish user can send a 1 GB file in less than 5 minutes.

Ireland among the leaders in upload speed

With an average upload speed of 28.2 Mbps, Ireland outperforms Portugal (25.6 Mbps) and Austria (25.3 Mbps) according to this criterion. These performances enable fast transmission of large files, such as high-definition videos or data backups.

Significant disparities between countries

Differences are notable: Ireland surpasses Togo (18.0 Mbps) and Sri Lanka (4.5 Mbps), illustrating the diversity of mobile infrastructures within this group of countries. A gap of nearly 24 Mbps separates Ireland from the last-ranked country.
