ANNKE’s FCD800P is an 8MP dual-lens outdoor PoE security camera designed to provide wide-area coverage through a single device. What’s in the Box
The package includes the camera, surveillance sign, waterproof connector, mounting hardware and user manual.
The first impression is positive, with the all-metal housing giving the camera a robust feel suitable for outdoor installation.
Setup and Installation
While the physical installation is straightforward, the initial setup process was less impressive. During testing, some of the QR codes and links referenced in the supplied documentation did not work correctly, making the activation process more complicated than expected.

For users new to IP cameras, it is advisable to complete the setup and configuration on a desk or workbench before mounting the camera permanently. Once connected and activated, management through the ANNKE mobile app or a web browser is relatively straightforward.
The camera supports MicroSD cards up to 512GB, although the card must first be initialised through the software before recording can begin. As with any CCTV installation, it is worth investing in a quality surveillance-grade memory card from a reputable supplier.
Performance
The standout feature of the FCD800P is its dual-lens design, which creates a seamless 180-degree panoramic image. Compared to traditional cameras that typically offer viewing angles of around 70 to 90 degrees, the wider field of view allows a much larger area to be monitored with a single camera.
Image quality during the day was good, with the 8MP sensor providing clear detail across the entire scene. The camera’s WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) technology also helped maintain visibility in areas with strong sunlight and shadows.
ANNKE’s AI-powered human and vehicle detection proved effective during testing. Over a three-week period, the camera was monitoring a garden where a dog was frequently present. The dog did not trigger alerts, while people entering the monitored area were detected consistently. This significantly reduced the number of false notifications compared to basic motion detection systems.
Night performance was also impressive. The camera offers infrared, white light and smart hybrid lighting modes, with illumination available up to 30 metres. The white light mode can also act as a visible deterrent while providing colour footage in low-light conditions.

The built-in microphone and speaker support two-way audio, allowing communication through the mobile app, while the integrated siren and strobe light provide additional security options.
Remote Access
Remote viewing and playback are available through the ANNKE mobile application, allowing users to monitor live and recorded footage from virtually anywhere. During testing, remote access was reliable and easy to use.
Verdict
The ANNKE FCD800P delivers where it matters most. The 180-degree panoramic view provides significantly greater coverage than a traditional camera, while the AI-powered detection performed well and kept false alerts to a minimum.
The setup documentation could be improved, particularly for first-time users, but once configured the camera proved reliable and easy to manage. Combined with solid image quality, effective night vision and durable construction, the FCD800P is a capable option for anyone looking to secure a large outdoor area with a single camera.
