The HAYLOU S40 ANC Headphones are their latest headphones offering great specs and features for th epric ethey ask for which is a trend with the brand, If you’re looking for a pair of cans that prioritize battery life and high-res codecs on a budget here is where you need to look and something I have been saying for years with the cost to perfomance ratio getting better all the time.
The Build: It’s a mix of polycarbonate and high-quality faux leather with a matt finish the cups and headband are soft and plush and do a great job and did not sweat during my time testing them out though this can vary per the environment and temps your using them it.
The Dual-Driver System (40mm + 20mm) delivers really great puchy sound and great bass given futher strength via their app which we go through in the video review down below.
The HAYLOU S40 supports LDAC for Android users, the inclusion of the LDAC codec is a massive win, allowing for near-lossless audio over Bluetooth and no loss in connection during my testing here, highs lows and mids all great any genre tested sounded great no lag latency or tinny sound noted.
Again we have Spatial Audio that features a 6-axis gyro for head-tracking spatial audio which is excellent if you have not tried this yet you need to though this is more notable with films but still great on podcasts and for gaming.
There is 50dB Hybrid ANC which works really well even outdoors and indoors you will not hear a thing going on in the house even that annoying washing machine or dishwasher which I have to edure daily
There is also a 360° supercardioid boom mic which is detachable which is great for gaming or doing teams call which is an added bonus.
The battery performanc is excellent ANC Off -90 Hours ANC On 60 Hours and comes with Fast Charge meaning a 10-minute quick charge gives you about 5 hours of playback which for me is excellent, check the video review below for more and check out the app.
