Have you ever looked for an easy-to-use solution to diagnose and customise your BMW? With the recently launched OBDeleven BMW application, you can close your search tabs and use the small Bluetooth device to take your BMW, MINI, or Rolls-Royce to the next level with the latest solution on the market.
While the drivers of cars built by either of the manufacturers have long enjoyed various aftermarket solutions for their vehicles, the software-based changes you can make with OBDeleven are easily usable by every driver with pre-made coding functions. Furthermore, the dealership-level diagnostic capabilities of the device will allow you to save money on expensive trips to a workshop or the dealership.
The BMW application is a continuation of OBDeleven’s Volkswagen Group (VAG)-focused solution, which was first launched in 2014. Much like the new solution, the VAG application has allowed Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Cupra, Škoda, Bentley, and Lamborghini drivers to diagnose and customise their vehicles on their smartphones.
BMW coding done for you
A perfect example of how even daily drivers can use OBDeleven to customise their BMW, or any other vehicle is the feature called One-Click Apps. These pre-made coding functions help users enable hidden features, as well as enable or disable various other features on your car.
For example, if you want to enable Video in Motion on your 3-series BMW for the passenger to watch while the car is moving, there is a One-Click App for that. Much like you can enable the iDrive startup animation when the head unit is turning on the NBT EVO Navigation system (S609A). You can also further “sportify” your dashboard by enabling Sport Displays on the G21, which will showcase the real-time numbers of kilowatts and torque on the head unit.
These features and more can be enabled or disabled instantly with One-Click Apps, as they have been prepared and coded by the development team at OBDeleven. Thus, no programming knowledge is required from the users’ side, enabling daily drivers to customize their BMW, MINI, or Rolls-Royce cars.
Diagnostic or scanning tool
Another feature that OBDeleven offers to its community is easily accessible dealership-level diagnostics. Eliminating the need for heavy and uncomfortable equipment, the small Bluetooth device provides all the information you would need to determine an issue following a warning light on the dashboard.
Even if there is no critical fault, which would be displayed on the dashboard, a full scan can reveal any potential issues you might have that could turn critical sooner rather than later.
The full scan procedure goes through all the control units, such as the engine, gearbox, braking system, electronics, and others, looking over whether there are any fault codes present. If there are, you will be able to read about the fault and receive the exact code, which will help you find out more about the issue and what kind of parts you would need to investigate to alleviate the issue.
Information about all your connected vehicles
If you have a few cars in your family garage, the Garage function will show all the cars that you have connected to your account via the OBDeleven device, as well as showcasing the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
When you enter the Garage tab on the OBDeleven app, you can see the series and the model of the car you have plugged the OBD-II device in, as well as the VIN, the year or the year range when the vehicle was built, as well as information about the control units present on the automobile. You can also view all of the One-Click Apps that are potentially available on it – including those that might not be available on your exact car due to the differences in equipped control units – allowing you to view the potential modifications you can do to your car once you plug in the device into the OBD-II port.
So, if you are looking to customise or diagnose your car without any difficulty, check out the full features list and give OBDeleven a try.
