Tech Review – Edifier MP230 bluetooth speaker

The latest speaker from Edifier the M230/MP230 may look old, indeed it is a throwback to 50s and 60s with a wooden finish that looks really cool and not only that the finish is robust and clean and it is in fact made with MDF. At first glance you may also notice the keys are again a throwback with a piano key design which works really well and once more these keys work flawlessly and look cool.

I have a house full of speakers and a surround system but since this little speaker came into the house everyone will not leave it alone, they pick it up ask me about it then I tell them and once the sound is turned on they are amazed at the punch it gives and in short for now has made my more expensive home set-up redundant. Most of my friends and family are not really tech adopters that is until they come into my place and this little speaker has garnered more attention than anything else here that is worth ten times the value so this for me makes an interesting point.

Retro products have been on the comeback for years and there is plenty out there but having said that most is cheap tacky looking stuff made with plastic and stickers whereas this aint it is a superbly built and finished product with all the features you require in a speaker.

On the rear of the speaker is the ports and not only that it can take and SD card too so if you have one with music on it you are laughing, I do but also use my phone to connect via bluetooth and the sound is just the same and when it comes to sound prepare to be amazed. For those who enjoy speakers some will know how a product is finished and the materials it is made from does make a difference.

The keys on the front are a joy to use where you have all your controls simply laid out, you can play/pause skip/reverse tracks here and swap modes and also take your calls on it if you desire to do so.

When it comes to sound it sounds great cutting it short the bass is excellent so for bass fans this is for you, highs lows and mids are there and for all music genres this covers it all and the sound is not confined to one spot like some speakers it circulates a large area and easily fills a large room and is ideal for your back garden or bringing to a picnic for example you will not be disappointed either way on the audio experience

Esri Maps Ireland’s Best Picnic Spots this International Picnic Day

New email scam claiming to be from An Garda Síochána

Over the last few days I have received several emails to with the latest scam doing the rounds claiming to be from An Garda Síochána regarding child pornography, and more, see the email in full below, naturally reported to the Garda I have yet to hear back from them which is a disgrace considering the contents in the email and how serious this is. Not only have I emailed them I have tried to get their attention on Twitter too yesterday.

This email will catch some out and probably but most will see that it is indeed a scam, in the email it will claim that your PC will be seized and placed under arrest and slapped on the national offenders registry. As with all dodgy emails just delete them straight away and report to a Garda station, you should get a response there. They have however put out notice today of the scam that was reported yesterday and you should also check their website for more

Tech Review – ZHIYUN FIVERAY FR100C Powerful, Portable LED Light Stick

I have been testing this guy out a few days and with having checked out many other lights for my home set ups this changes the game, I have have those circular lights you may see the only fans crew using lol. plus other LED strips and so on, they all suffer from the same thing though which is brightness and the ability to change colour and other settings you tend to see with lighting tools.

Fujifilm Europe introduces the new instax mini Link 2 Smartphone Printer

Fujifilm Europe, Photo Imaging Division, today announced the European launch of its FUJIFILM instax mini Link 2 Smartphone Printer, available from 22nd June 2022. instax mini Link 2 features a variety of new, unique features designed to encourage
creativity, including customizable frames and image color modes that help enhance the mood of an image. instaxAiR is an exciting new feature for instax mini Link 2, taking interactivity and personalization to a whole new level by allowing the printer to be a tool to draw “in the air” and apply the effects directly to the print. “instax mini Link 2 encourages image makers to express themselves creatively through their prints,” said Shin Udono, Senior Vice President, Imaging Solutions, FUJIFILM Europe. “With highly innovative, fun, and interactive features like instaxAiR, we’re establishing new ways to connect with and inspire instax users as they create their images.”

Key features of instax mini Link 2 include:

instaxAiR: instaxAiR allows users to add graphics to their prints, via the free downloadable instax mini Link App 1 , including bubbles, petals, neon, spray paint, or a glitter look by simply holding the instax mini Link 2, pressing the feature button on top,
