Tech Review – BuddyPhones Cosmos plus kids wireless headphones. #Tech #Kids

Recently on Tech Buzz we checked out the BuddyPhones School Plus wireless headphones for education for kids and now we check out the more advanced pair which for me are an excellent pair of headphones and well thought out for older kids and in fact offer more than you would expect when it comes to features, there is no app support or voice assistant however everything else is there including ANC and a detachable mic which is great and really gives kids an idea of what their parents might be wearing in the house as most of us work from home now but not only that it can be used for gaming and perhaps taking calls and so on and the quality is quite good on the mic too.

With more adjustments on this headset you get a great fit and these do not clamp onto your head either from both me and my daughter testing them we where both pleased with these headphones and even from the audio perspective they are really good and better than one would expect when it comes to music gaming and more, In fairness kids would not be that much bothered by the audio experience but they are really good, these are for kids remember but the audio is decent for all purposes.

ON one side you again have the controls for music and the other is power/on/off and the ANC button with the controls again you can skip and reverse tracks./play and pause music and change the volume and these controls work perfectly fine all the time everytime.

The headset is comfortable to wear for long periods of time and lightweight too and I cant see any kids having issues with these. To block out distracting background noise, simply switch on the active noise cancellation which allows the child to listen clearly  without turning the volume up needlessly high.

Facebook Ireland Launches Free Christmas Training For Irish SMEs

As businesses recover from a year like no other, Facebook Ireland has launched its ‘Peak Season Prep Series’. This free online training will help businesses prepare for and utilise the busiest shopping season of the year to further boost their recovery.

Facebook’s latest State of Small Business report found that Covid-19 generated a shift in how SMEs around the world and in Ireland do business. Online sales became a lifeline during the pandemic to help keep many businesses afloat. The report shows that those who made the pivot to online are still reaping the benefits even as stores physically reopen. Half of Irish SMEs (50%) report that at least 25% of their revenue is generated by digital sales, up from 35% of SMEs in February, demonstrating that customers continue to support businesses online.

Facebook’s free training sessions will help businesses benefit from the pivot to shopping more online and will help them focus on how best to acquire and grow a large customer base. Topics include building an actionable business plan for Christmas, how to optimise creativity and influencer marketing tactics as well as covering key insights around sustainable gifting for environmentally conscious businesses. The next webinar will take place on 7th October at 10am and will guide businesses through a step by step process on how to create impactful ads for the peak shopping season.

Skyports – Drone Deliveries Take Flight in First-of-its-Kind Trial in Ireland

Testing last-mile drone delivery of goods between Shannon Airport to Foynes Port begins

Last week, FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), and the world’s largest express transportation company, in collaboration with Future Mobility Campus Ireland (FMCI) Air, announced the completion of its first scheduled drone last-mile delivery flight in Ireland. The delivery marks the launch of a trial service delivering goods from FMCI, based at Shannon Airport, County Clare, to Foynes Port, County Limerick, Ireland’s second-largest port operator and largest bulk port company.

The drone deliveries were conducted by Skyports, a world-leading operator of cargo drone deliveries, on behalf of the FMCI Air consortium which also includes Avtrain, Shannon Group and FMCI.

The delivery of the first FedEx Express package in Ireland via drone demonstrates the benefits of drone delivery for last-mile service and the commitment by FedEx to exploring the latest innovations in last-mile delivery.

The delivery is part of a month-long trial which will see a number of test flights conducted in the Mid-West region, beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) between Shannon Airport and Foynes Port, with deliveries anticipated to be made in under 13 minutes. Clare County and Limerick City and County Council have shown their support for the project, highlighting the role that the councils are playing and leading from an innovation perspective.

Mike Roche, Operations Managing Director, FedEx Express Ireland, said: “We are always looking for new and innovative ways to deliver the world to our customers’ doorsteps and I’m delighted that this drone delivery trial is underway and an example of how we, as an industry, continue to explore new technology to help meet our customers’ evolving delivery needs.”

Julie Garland on behalf of the FMCI Air Consortium, said “The calibre of the partners involved in this trial ensures its success. To test the incorporation of Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drone freight deliveries into global supply chain logistics is the future happening now. The location of this trial from the FMCI base adjacent to Shannon Airport, in controlled airspace, with full air traffic control services demonstrates the integration of manned aircraft operations with simultaneous vertiport drone operations becoming the norm and paving the way for Advanced Air Mobility.”

There isn’t a soul on earth who doesn’t love days off. You might be a stay-at-home mum whose kids are staying with their grandparents for a few days, or a hardworking office employee who’s taking a week-long vacation – honestly, it doesn’t matter. Are eCommerce stocks a worthy investment?

In the last 18 months, the world has been turned upside down by the coronavirus pandemic. Although some normality has resumed and lockdowns have been lifted, our habits have altered significantly.

More people are avoiding shopping in store, to steer clear of catching coronavirus, but also because they have enjoyed the convenience of online retail and the selection that it affords them. 

This has caused companies to recognise the importance of enhancing their online consumer experience to provide for the increased demand. What’s more, many small businesses have set up online shopping platforms, moving firmly into this savvy online-shopping age. 

As a trader, you could take advantage of this behavioural shift by investing in the shares of an eCommerce platform that is performing well right now and here’s an example for you: 

  • Shopify Inc. (NYSE: SHOP) 

Shopify is a bit of a newcomer in the eCommerce world, but like many new businesses, has thrived during the pandemic. The company is a Canadian-based platform that allows small businesses to list their products online. Shopify has only been trading for the last 10 years, but has amounted to 1.75 million sellers. If you’re looking to invest in a company that still has significant growing room, Shopify could be the stock for you.

Tech Review – Tronsmart Battle Gaming Earbuds

Having tested many of Tronsmarts products they never seem to disappoint and for gamers these earbuds should be something on your radar and of course they are affordable but the question is do they work and are they worth the money, for gamers they like a certain set of parameters for the audio experience and there is other brands out there that are known to gamers for that particular sound the gamer likes but for your money here in short these do a fine job.

Build quality

There are really cool earbuds with a glossy finish which is fine and have a small stem and akin to Airpods in design, I prefer this type of approach and the quality seems good, they are durable and look solid but time will tell on this but for me they should last just as long as any other earbud, they come in a really cool charge case that is transparent and I really like this effect and it is nice to see a different approach to the case which makes them look really nice overall.

Fit

Fit here is fine and they are comfortable, there is a stem but this is fine, some folk do not like stems but for me I do not really mind at all and they are comfortable even for long term use ie many hours of gaming and music.

Controls

There is no app here which might change as the company does have an app with a selection of their earbuds on it, to change your options you just tap the upper side and they worked really well here with every tap and that for me is a great feature as some earbuds do not respond to every command, you have all the features required and the same applies to use these for music, I tested these in both gaming and music and worked well.

Sound

These sound great i have to say and ideal for both gaming and music and anything else you would use earbuds for they are crisp and clear and sharp delivering great direction and gives you a level of immersion when gaming you will not be disappointed here with these and they perform really well for the price you pay which is an added bonus. You can triple tap to change between gaming mode and music mode and the job is done.

Tech Review – Otterbox case line-up for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3

Otterbox have kindly sent us a huge range of cases and accessories to check out and today we check out the line up for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 which is one of my current daily drivers right now and up to now it was a love hate relationship and getting use to the new form factor, also worth noting I had a cheap case on it for it until more arrived and we do have more to come and the case I have decided to use it making the user experience a lot better for several reasons. Otterbox is also a brand I have been using for years myself and one brand I turn to when I get a new device and typically one case would last me the lifetime of my phone, in fact I still have the same case from the iPhone 12.

There is two case types available for the Flip 3 now and one of them is the Thin Flex Series which for now comes in Pink and Black and are really nice and also a really secure fit on your device giving it the protection you need, being an expensive phone you are better off casing up as it will not be a cheap fix regardless.
