You wouldn’t expect to pass your driving test if you hadn’t practiced any of your manoeuvres. Well, the same applies for your theory test. The theory exam puts your knowledge of the highway code, road signs and your alertness to the test, along with many other things.

Bad news is each time you fail your test, you’ll be required to pay to re-take it once more, so you’re going to want to prepare as best as you can to help you to pass first time. Once you’ve passed your theory test, you’ll be able to inform your driving instructor and think about booking your practical exam!

Thankfully, there are plenty of useful resources out there to help you practice for your theory test, so that you feel confident when you take your official exam. You can now download some handy apps so that you can practice on the go, and here’s our guide to some of the best on the market.

This is the official DVSA mobile resource and contains the Highway Code, interactive hazard perception videos and a multitude of tips to help you to revise.
