I am the guy that likes sound when working from home or on the go and I like my sound with me and I tend to have it loud and clear but what about calls to people with that too and immersive sound? The Jabra Speak 710 does both and its portable, light and hosts an array of features that my typical bluetooth speakers don’t have and I have alot of them… The Speak 710 works fine by itself but we have two and in this case more means better as with many bluetooth speakers today if you own more than one you can daisy chain them and get really high quality sound effects this also not only stands to music but on calls too so you win both ways, So if you have these connected either to your PC or mobile phone you will have the best of both worlds for taking calls and enjoying some music whislt you get on with your daily business…

Boxed simply put.. It comes with plenty of instructions and user guides not that its hard to set up its more like a plug and play, however if yo have the two you might want to read up on pairing them together which in fairness is simple be it your mobile phone or PC or both..As with lots of Jabra products there is audio commands which are loud and clear and I love them.

Build Quality.

This is one solid piece of kit I love the circular shape and when you pick it up you can feel it it’s not heavy though but solid, The built-in stand on the back is also metal and not cheap plastic so this is more robust, There is a cable on the back which cleverly wraps around the speaker in its own channel built into the unit which is nice and tidy also on the back you get a bluetooth dongle embedded into the housing of the speaker, this is quite small though and you would want to be carefull not to lose it.. The cable is about 3 ft in length which gives you the option to move the speakers about and this cable obviously again is for charging via standard USB..

Sound Quality

Well its pretty dam good, As I have said I own a lot of bluetooth speakers from all price tiers these really are impressive and even from your mobile phone although they only work from your phones maximum level volume but still they are great.Plugged into your PC/Laptop again great this is not for all and again some like sound but all those little sounds you hear from your home office come through great and again for watching you tube and so on or the news for example. My Speakers on my own Laptop are good but these blow them away when connected I have one set either side of my home Laptop permanently now and I love it, Yeah it does add some clutter space to the table but its worth it if you are into sound…

One issue I had was the paired speaker lagging behind on my mobile particularly when further apart this would be expected but this was easily fixed by turning on BOTH speakers first rather than the main unit then the second one afterward. Listen to a sound clip and walk-around of the product below..

Rather than a myriad of buttons we have touch controls here which are nice and responsive and highlighted with LEDs as you will see above and again you get audio prompts when you pair or disconnect from whatever you might be connected to,this all looks and sounds futurist when operating for the first time especially how the lights come on and go off it really is visually pleasing dare I say it.. We have power on/off volume up/down,battery status, bluetooth indicator, voice ,link button (This is if you have two speakers)

Overall thoughts

These are a valid replacement for a conference call system in many ways and they are a nice product overall with good looks and performance but the price might be off-putting for some. Due to the sound clarity, size, features and build quality I would much prefer this than your typical landline based set up, I do not have a landline and have not done so for years but again you can use these paired to your smartphone too so it all comes together as an excellent set up that’s also portable be it even having just one speakerphone. Having the two is excellent and the sound is fantastic, Set up is simple and takes seconds to do so no matter where you are or what you are using it all comes together well and compliments each other too and in a simple manner…

Again thanks to the team at Jabra for letting us try the Speak 710 out and stay tuned for more soon..
