A few weeks ago we heard that the Samsung Note 4 Edge would be hitting Ireland sometime in November and an estimated 500 units would be put aside for Ireland, this now turns out to be true which is good news for Samsung fans, currently i use a Note 4 and really like the Note Edge but it sadly will not suit me as i use my phone right handed which is a shame but still i make take a look on launch,i do like its unusual but nice design which is a first for Samsung.Something to note too is many dates for availability have been pushed back or later than advertised at first depending on region so hopefully this date sticks,im still very tempted to buy this although i do not see the justice in the exotic price over the Note 4 even though it is nice and has one feature no other phone has.

The Note 4 Edge is now up on the Vodafone website under the “coming soon” section.

The Galaxy Note Edge provides a revolutionary new way to interact with your phone. The unique curved Edge screen allows quick access to the most frequently used apps, alerts and functionality with the swipe of a thumb, even when the cover is closed.

You can even receive notifications directly on screen while watching videos, without disturbing your viewing so you’ll never miss a notification again.

The carphone warehouse also reports they will carry the unique the device too..

Samsung’s latest device features a curved screen that extends around to the edge of the device. This enables users to access frequently used apps quickly and check alerts, even when the cover is closed. This edge is also used to display notifications on the screen without disturbing a video in progress.

Director of Samsung Ireland, Gary Twohig, said that the Galaxy Note range of devices has resonated with the Irish public. He added, “with Note Edge we’re bringing a whole new style of mobile usage in the form of handheld curved screen features and easier notifications while in operation.” Innovation is important to Samsung and Twohig is delighted that Irish users will be able to get the opportunity to purchase this distinctive handset ahead of Christmas.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge will be available in Vodafone stores and select Carphone Warehouse outlets from December 4th. And, as a wise businessman once said, you can have any colour as long as it’s black. The Galaxy Note Edge will be released in Charcoal Black.
