Introducing the New XPS Portfolio

Dell pioneered the art of engineering narrow bezels to minimize its footprint and maximize screen size. Now the company is introducing its new immersive 16- and 14-inch screens. The new XPS 16 and XPS 14 bring more portability to XPS laptops and place the focus on performance and design.

The XPS 16 is the frontrunner of the portfolio, with supercharged performance for complex workloads. Featuring the latest Intel Core Ultra processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs (up to the GeForce RTX 4070 GPU), the XPS 16 is Dell’s most powerful XPS laptop with up to 80W of sustained performance. Ideal for those running demanding apps, whether it’s editing videos or testing the latest AI software, users have a smooth and fast experience.

Combining performance, design and portability, the XPS 14 is a great option for those who need the freedom of working from anywhere. The XPS 14 is 21% lighter than the XPS 16, but it still delivers powerful performance to complete challenging tasks with ease. With optional NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs (up to the GeForce RTX 4050 GPU), you can edit and play high-resolution videos effortlessly. And with long battery life, it’s a refined laptop made to move with you.

Both XPS 16 and XPS 14 are NVIDIA Studio-validated systems3, meaning they deliver industry-leading performance for demanding creative tasks such as 3D rendering, video editing, and live streaming, while offering exclusive access to the Studio AI-powered suite of tools and enhanced stability with NVIDIA Studio Drivers.

AI, Your New Best Friend

AI and generative AI (GenAI) are driving the latest wave of innovation and unlocking new possibilities on the PC. The new XPS portfolio, powered by Intel Core Ultra processors, features a built-in AI acceleration engine with the addition of a NPU (neural processing unit).

This means the PC no longer needs to rely solely on the CPU or GPU for processing and performance. Imagine you are a creator who is always on the go and editing photos in Adobe Lightroom. This new technology automatically leverages the right compute engine for your workload, in this case letting you edit images faster than before while preserving battery life.

The laptops all come with Copilot in Windows 11, harnessing the capabilities of AI to make the things you do every day easier, faster and effortless. The portfolio also features a Copilot key designed to make it even easier to get things done and stay in the flow of work. Now – with the press of a key – users can have quick access to their everyday AI companion.

Sustainable From Top to Bottom

Dell continues its commitment to incorporate more sustainable materials in both its products and packaging. The new XPS family has the highest level of sustainable materials yet, and, for the first time, the new XPS family is designed with recycled aluminium and low emissions aluminum made from a renewable energy source. This reduces the carbon footprint of this material by up to 89%4. Made from 100% recycled or renewable content5, the packaging used to protect XPS laptops brings the company one step closer to meeting our ambitious 2030 Advancing Sustainability Goals.

The new XPS family is registered EPEAT Gold and complies with EPEAT’s new and stringent climate criteria to achieve the EPEAT Climate+ Designation. With the Climate+ designation, these laptops have met industry’s best practices for decarbonization.

Dell Technologies unveils the new XPS 13 and XPS 13 2-in-1

Because the course of a day can change with one email, text or spark of spontaneity, the XPS 13 (available with Windows 11 or Ubuntu 20.04) has been designed by Dell to be the ultimate on-the-go companion. Artfully thin, light and compact with up to 12 hours of long battery life, it slips seamlessly into a backpack, bag or purse, while still delivering the premium performance with 12th Gen Intel® Core™ processors to multitask with ease.

True to the XPS aesthetic, it features our fifth generation, 4-side InfinityEdge display and enhanced sound for an immersive entertainment experience whether streaming music, video-chatting friends or watching the latest blockbuster. High brightness, improved clarity, precise detail with up to 4K+ resolution, and vivid colour bring the content to life, while larger speakers enable louder sound, deeper bass and a better overall audio experience. Eyesafe® technology intelligently manages light energy at the source, reducing harmful blue light without compromising the visual experience.

Dell XPS 13

Expertly crafted from premium materials, the XPS 13 delivers an inclusive approach to expressive colour, with unified tones inside and out that embody our mindful, minimalist approach. Available in softened shades of Sky and Umber, the tinted CNC machined aluminium is curated and premium.

With the new XPS 13, Dell set out on a long and ambitious journey to “miniaturize” the motherboard to be 1.8x smaller than the one found in our previous XPS 13 (2021). In fact, it’s the smallest motherboard ever created and fitted for a Dell PC. This created the architectural space needed to pack in a tapestry of new technologies and enlarge the speaker enclosures. The result is an XPS 13 that is thinner and lighter, yet better sounding, high performing and long lasting.

Taking versatility to new heights, the XPS 13 2-in-1 is launching this Summer

As the lines continue to blur between work, life and learning, the XPS 13 2-in-1 reflects just that. This XPS device provides the ultimate flexibility allowing users to effortlessly transition between streaming, working creating and sharing content, and connecting.

This is the first XPS device to offer 5G connectivity, which enables faster downloads, like WiFi speeds, but for mobile broadband. Streaming, downloading files, rich video content –  it all happens a lot faster with the speed of 5G, so users can be productive and entertained no matter the location. The new XPS 13 2-in-1 also features eSIM technology, which allows users to go to different countries and connect to global carriers without having to switch SIM cards.

The XPS 13 2-in-1 allows for a fluid transition from consumption to full productivity mode by attaching the magnetic XPS Folio, providing a complete laptop experience that supports three angle adjustments (100°, 112.5°, 125°) for flexibility and comfort. The natural writing and inking experience of the XPS Stylus will allow users to express their creativity, turning the device into a state-of-the-art sketchpad.

Designed around an intuitive, landscape-first viewing mode – because that’s how we see the world – the stunning display panel delivers high brightness and precise detail with up to 3K resolution and vivid colour. The high-resolution 1080p front-facing webcam offers a crisp and clear image and is placed horizontally for practical and productive video calls.

The XPS 13 2-in-1 offers two connectivity options, standard WiFi 6E or 5G with WiFi 6E, each featuring a sleek, minimalist design. The standard WiFi 6E model is constructed of machined aluminium, just like the XPS 13 and is available in the subtle blue Sky colour. Unique to the 5G model, the back is made from Gorilla Glass 7 to optimize connectivity and eliminate signal interference. It’s available in a darker Slate hue.

Pricing and availability

  • XPS 13 is now available in Ireland, starting at €1,339.00.
  • XPS 13 2-in-1 will be available later this Summer.

Dell unveils the refreshed XPS 15 and XPS 17

Dell Technologies has today unveiled updates to its XPS line with the refreshed XPS 15 and XPS 17. Both featuring 12th Gen Intel Core H-Series processors, the new XPS laptops bring together elegant designs and premium experiences to enhance the user experience in creative and business tasks. Here are the latest updates.

XPS 15

The XPS 15 is the perfect balance of power and portability with an unrivalled immersive visual experience. Whether it’s streaming, editing photos, the XPS 15 has been designed to move ideas into reality.

Thanks to the i5 processor, 512GB SSD and 16GB memory for discrete graphics recommended for music production, graphic design or videography, this XPS has been carefully selected for those who aspire to cultivate their digital content creation skills.

The new XPS 15 is an evolved, modern design for XPS. The display allows for added pixels, designed to make users more productive. It features a DDR5 memory, which is up to 50% faster clock speed than DDR4 memory.

The XPS 15 is cut from a block of aluminium in two pieces, with durability in mind. Corning® Gorilla® Glass 6 is bonded to the aluminium, and is tough, damage resistant, durable and elegant. Through its aerospace-inspired carbon fibre, the new XPS 15 delivers high performance in a thin design thanks in part to thermal engineering. Along with dual fans and heat pipes, hidden exhaust vents in the hinge help with airflow and a slight ramp aid in lifting more heat out.

XPS 17

The XPS 17 is Dell’s most powerful XPS yet, delivering unprecedented performance (90W) in an incredibly thin (19.5mm) form factor. The 16:10 display provides high brightness, improved clarity, precise detail and vivid colour. By maximizing experiential elements, such as a bigger display, larger keycaps and a larger touchpad, the design puts a focus on elevating the essential.

The streamlined keyboard design embeds a fingerprint reader in the power button. Keycaps are large with less lattice and the touchpad is a massive 151 x 90, stretching the usable area to the outer limits. The twin-coil press fit hinge is designed to maximize the screen to body ratio and enable 4- sided InfinityEdge.

Dell xps 17

When it comes to sound, high-speed laser-drilled 7,622 holes support two primary up-firing speakers, plus two traditional tweeters in the base. The quad speaker design enables a more immersive audio experience and discrete Waves Nx® 3D audio experience only offered before through headphones.

Top-mounted mics provide a better audio experience in Skype conference calls with echo cancellation and noise reduction. Additionally, Waves MaxxVoice – a suite of studio-quality voice optimizations – is engineered to match the quality of face-to-face communication for clear and uninterrupted voice conferencing.

Dell Performance

With Dell Performance integrated into both devices, users can customize performance based on how they want their laptop to operate, including adjusting system behaviours based on a preference between quiet, performance, cool and optimized modes.

Dell unveils the new XPS Desktop

Dell Technologies has recently unveiled the latest version of its XPS Desktop, a performance and creative powerhouse, with a more robust cooling system and faster processors, making it the most powerful version of the device to date.

Dell engineers redesigned the thermal architecture of the device to maximize performance and soften the acoustics through improving airflow. The front bezel of the chassis is designed to intake cool air and move it from the front and out the back. Notably, the new XPS Desktop is up to 21% cooler under load (with a 125W cooling solution); or up to 18% cooler under load with liquid cooling (when compared to the new 125W thermal solution). And the new high RPM fans (up to 5,000 RPM) operate more efficiently at slower speeds which helps makes the system quieter. Overall, the new desktop is 50%+ quieter under load over previous generations.

Designed for aspiring artists or seasoned professionals alike, the Dell XPS Desktop allows users to stay in their flow with the new 12th Gen Intel Core desktop processors (up to i9) that handles creative projects and gameplay with ease alongside the most impressive graphics options available on the market – the NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 30 Series GPUs or AMD Radeon™ RX GPUs. Combined with next-generation DDR5 memory supporting up to 50% faster clock speed than DDR4 as well as PCIe Gen5 graphics ready, the new XPS Desktop delivers incredible horsepower.

Commenting on the announcement, Donnie Oliphant, Senior Director of XPS, said: “XPS is one of the most coveted brands in the PC industry, lauded for its seamless convergence of elegant design and cutting-edge technology – but there’s always more to a XPS device than meets the eye. Nearly 42% larger than its predecessor (27L vs 19L), the new XPS Desktop ushers in an expansive suite of next-gen performance technologies and a more robust cooling architecture, making this the most powerful XPS Desktop ever made. With heavy-hitter performance cloaked by an understated minimalist design, creators, gamers, and virtually anyone who wants to amplify their passions, can now own a sophisticated PC with workhorse performance.”

The new XPS Desktop is elegantly and mindfully designed to fit seamlessly into any environment, just like the rest of the XPS family. It comes with a choice of two stylish colors – light and dark – including Night Sky and an all-aluminum Platinum Silver option. A pair of aluminum feet that peek out from the base add an extra level of poise to the silver model.

Liquid cooling Dell XPS

When it comes to the XPS line, it’s important to have a PC that is customizable, so the system can grow to meet increased performance demands over time. Using the toolless entry chassis, users can easily upgrade the CPU, GPU, memory, storage and more to keep pace with new technology as it becomes available.

For those who aspire to cultivate their digital content creation skills – whether that be in photography, graphic design, music production or beyond, they can tap into “Creator Edition” that comes with pre-selected configurations ready to withstand creative workloads.

Availability & Pricing

The XPS Desktop will be available later this fall, shipping with Windows 11, with pricing available upon launch.
