Jabra launches the Speak 750. Powers Your Meetings from Anywhere with Seamless Premium Sound. #Jabra #Tech #JabraSpeak750

Jabra, the leader in personal sound as well as office solutions, announces the next model in its portfolio of professional speakerphone solutions – the Speak 750. The new addition to the Speak series is engineered to support conferencing needs in the ‘new normal’, elevating meeting room experiences no matter what shape they take. The premium audio system is able to pick up sounds seamlessly, allowing everyone in the room to speak and be heard simultaneously even while social distancing, while the portability of the device means it can turn any area into a meeting room within a matter of seconds.

Owing to full duplex (allowing natural communication in both directions), the Speak 750 ensures both sides of the conversation are being transmitted at the same time. This mean that conversations are able to flow as they would in person, helping elevate audio experience and mitigating any worries of missed important information. With fewer interruptions and better conversations businesses can enjoy more effective collaborations, while boosting UC adoption through enhancement of sound.

Plug-and-play for instant collaboration

According to research, 10% of the average 60-min meeting is being wasted on technical difficulties[1]. Thanks to the plug-and-play capabilities of the Speak 750, businesses can achieve connectivity instantly through plug-and-play to a laptop, smartphone or tablet via   USB and/or Bluetooth.

The Speak 750 is not limited to just one device either, as it can pair with up to eight devices and can connect to two devices at the same time – enabling peak connectivity at all times.

The versatility doesn’t stop there as the Speak 750 Microsoft Teams variant, certified for Microsoft Teams, has a dedicated Microsoft Teams button which allows instant connection to colleagues. Notifications alert users when it’s time to join a call or when someone is trying to reach them. Tapping the button takes users directly into an ongoing Microsoft Teams call so the connection to colleagues will always be just a click away.

The Speak 750 UC variant is compatible with all leading Unified Communications platforms and has a Smart Button that can be programmed for Siri, Google Assistant or Speed dial.

Nigel Dunn, Managing Director, Jabra EMEA North, said, “As the world of work changes, collaboration continues to remain a key priority for global businesses. The Jabra Speak 750 is suited to every meeting room scenario imaginable and takes flexible working to the next level – whether it’s a socially distanced call in an office room or a make-shift conference in your living room, the premium quality full duplex setting makes calls easy and collaboration simple.”

First look and impressions. The Google Pixel 4a #GooglePixel4a #Tech #MadeByGoogle #Pixel4a

Apple recently launched the iPhone SE and One Plus Nord which are affordable phones to give a nice twist to the market, I have been saying it a while now there is no need for 1000 euro phones and the pixel 4a is a new device to throw a spanner in the works for Android and iOS smartphones falling into that price category. I have been using the device for two days and so far impressed.

Having used pixel devices as main device since they came to fruition this years model model will certainly be following that trend given it is a smaller device for my liking it will take a day or two to adjust but I typically carry two mobile phones with me all times which is a pain but it is what it is. The Pixel 4a has a small footprint yet almost bezelless top and chin this time with its sides too, The device goes on sale for €389 which really puts it up to Apple and chinese manufacturers especially One Plus which we see nothing but praise for oddly enough I have yet to test one to give my honest opinion on the device.

Image taken with pixel 4a portrait mode

The device comes with a squared camera hump on the back like and not a silly array of camera lenses which for me now is getting silly looking as to whom has the most on the rear of their smartphone, having said that some look well and some look stupid. Google have a clean simple design here which for me is fine and keeping the design language the same as before.

This is not a review as you cant really review a phone in two days and i will have a better summarized  review in a week or two but for the last two days of use it has been impressive with speed and in particular its camera as expected, given I am a power user the battery life is again going to be the main talk coming in at 3140 mAh which is considered small in today’s world but given the size of the phone it is to be expected. The device learns from your usage over time however and we will see how this pans out with more usage which again is another reason for not being able to give a real conclusion of the device like any other over a two day use period. See our video and image sample HERE

The camera set up is a 12.2 dual pixel E+OIS with 7X zoom 77 degrees fov and the front camera is 8mp fixed focus with an 84 degree fov. The screen ratio is 5.81 inch 19.5.9 aspect ratio with a 443 ppi count 1080×430 always on display on an OLED display. You get 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage which is a real sweet spot and a Qualcomm snapdragon 730G processor and you get an 18W fast charger in the box and no earbuds or case.. Again we have stereo speakers which I love and overall so far the device has performed well and no issues as yet but as mentioned will have more later as I will put my main sim on board.

So far I have loaded most of my apps on the device connected to smartwatches a dashcam several security cameras, since covid I have been using many more apps than I usually would so it means more loading on the device and all is well but check out the video below for more samples. Any questions hit us up in the meantime. For now once again In short the pixel 4a is a cohesive device that gives great results with the camera giving you the best point and shoot results almost every time.

NESTLUMS released TODAY & ALREADY TRENDING on APP STORE – to TEACH KIDS THE VALUE OF MONEY. #Nestlums #Finance #Cashless

Nestlums – an innovative app to teach children about the working of money in our virtually cashless, digital world, where it may seem invisible to them –  launched today and is already trending on the App Store and has been for us on site too which is really great news for the company.

Wayne Travis (Creative Director of a  leading fintech company, Thought Machine) and his team mates, as parents concerned about their young kids limited understanding of money in our increasingly cashless digital world, decided to create an app to teach them the essentials, in the form of a game so enchanting they will be begging to keep on playing and learning:
Neslums is a new mobile app which offers modern money training for children through a unique, character-driven, gamified experience, without connecting to a bank account or touching any real money.
The modern digital world presents new challenges in teaching children about money. Research released today by Thought Machine shows that in 1 in 4 UK families, a child had made an unauthorised purchase online. When it came to parents teaching their children about financial literacy, 80% believe it is important that their child learns financial literacy concepts from an early age. Although 1 in 3 parents said that they were unsure their child currently has the necessary understanding of financial literacy concepts for their age.
The release of the research coincides with the launch of Nestlums, a new mobile app created by Cauldron in partnership with BAFTA nominated game developers Glitchers. The app offers modern money training for children through a unique, character-driven, gamified experience, without connecting to a bank account or touching any real money. The Nestlums team hope the app can provide tangible support in building financial understanding, especially where digital money is concerned.
“We know that getting to grips with money can be hard for kids, especially as it becomes increasingly less visible in the modern world. My seven year old daughter barely has a clue what’s going on when I tap my card in a shop!”explains Wayne Travis, Creative Director from Cauldron. “With the growing prevalence of virtual currencies and the rise of the dreaded in-app purchase, we wanted to reinforce the idea of earning money honestly, appreciating the value of money even if you can’t see it or touch it, and not blowing it recklessly.”
As families have been spending more time at home, it is likely children are also spending more time online. The Nestlums team hope the app can provide tangible support in building financial understanding, especially where digital money is concerned.
Nestlums can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store for a one-off payment of £2.99, and features no subscription charges, in-app purchases or advertising.

Tech Review – The Groov-e Ultra headphones with Wireless charging. #Headphones #Tech

Groov-e is a brand that brings affordable tech to the masses and does not dip on quality either for the price bracket, their latest headphones have just dropped and I have been testing these out for some time now and for the money if you like a little bass and super easy to use controls these are worth a look. Comfort is another factor here with soft cups that give great isolation off the bat.

Mostly made with plastic they do feel a bit cheap but light but overall you cant complain they deliver a nice tone of sound mostly being deep and with bass with 40mm drivers they are loud and pleasing overall no matter what you might listen to be it music, Netflix or You Tube also to note there’s no lag latency. What I love most on these it the controls which you will see in the video below and how easy they are to use, none of this double triple tap rubbish to change tracks and volume etc. You get around 30 hours of music playback and you can of course opt in for a wired connection should you run out but these also come with wireless charging which you don’t see at this price, Simply placed on a wireless charger and you are good to go. Wireless charging with the Apollo light is one example and lives at my bedside locker and is designed to be as easy as possible. Users simply place compatible devices on the 5w charging pad to start powering up the battery immediately.

Apollo’s light utilises three LED modes; warm, warm white and cool white enabling the user to tailor the light tone as required. Whilst, a dimmer function means the brightness can be adjusted up or down too. For those that like tunes before bed or to get them through the working day – Apollo also has an integrated Bluetooth speaker.

  •  Bluetooth Connectivity
  •  30Hrs Wireless Audio Playback
  •  Voice Assistant
  •  Hands-Free Microphone
  •  Removable Audio Cable

  •  Supports Wireless Charging
  •  Super Bass
  •  Soft Ear Pads
  •  Folding Design
