Tech Industry Alliance Announces TechFest 2026

Tech Industry Alliance has announced the official launch of TechFest 2026, the South West’s leading technology conference, bringing together technology leaders, policymakers, innovators, and industry experts for a high-impact, in-person event exploring one of the defining issues of our time: how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies are reshaping business, society and public trust.

TechFest, the flagship annual conference from Tech Industry Alliance, will take place at the Rochestown Park Hotel, Cork, from 09:00 on Thursday, 21 May 2026. This year’s theme, “AI, Technology & the Future: Innovation, Intelligence and Human Impact,” will explore both the opportunities and responsibilities that accompany rapid advances in artificial intelligence.

TechFest 2026 will welcome Jamie Bartlett, a UK-based author, researcher, and broadcaster specialising in the societal impact of emerging technologies, online culture and digital power. He is the author of several acclaimed books including the bestselling The Dark Net, Radicals, The People Vs Tech and The Missing Cryptoqueen, with his work translated into 15 languages. Bartlett founded the Centre for the Analysis of Social Media at the think tank Demos and is a regular commentator across national and international media. His expertise spans cybersecurity, crypto scams, online subcultures and the influence of technology on politics. His TED Talk, How the Mysterious Dark Net Is Going Mainstream, has been viewed more than five million times.

Guiding attendees through the day will be Jonathan McCrea, acclaimed science communicator, and AI master trainer. Known for making complex technology accessible and engaging, Jonathan will help frame discussions around the opportunities and challenges of AI adoption, ensuring an insightful and thought-provoking experience for attendees.

Stealth RADAR gaming headset review

The Stealth RADAR gaming headset is a simple plug and play headset that works on pretty much any device or multiplaftorm and is not only for just kids but adults alike with an aviator look

The colour model we tested is probably the best loking out of the look leaning towards a Ninendo Switch console and looks nice it is also light a very robust and has a tough braided cable for power.

No app is required on set up here unlike other gaming headsets which can be a cumersome process which make this an easy choice for kids and parents alike.

There is a built in mic and the headset is wired you may need an adapter for some products however but this is not really much of an issue today with USB-C being the main connector although it does use a 3.5mm jack you can aleviate this is your product has no headphone jack via an adapter.

There is also a pop filter on the mic making it sound great on the other end, tested on mobile console and PC I had no issues here at all.

With 40mm drivers the sound is great to be fair even for the price and any user will be happy with how it performs even with just music there was no tinny sound when maxed out or any latency of course veing wired that is why.

The intergrated controls work really well with a simple volume wheel and mute switch for the mic making if a fun and easy to use hassle free headset for most kids and even adults who do not want the fuss of more hard core ones in which we have a review of coming soon, check the video below for more.

Creative Pebble Nova Speakers Review

The Creative Pebble Nova Speakers have been sitting on my desk the last few weeks and have gotten the attention of all visitors to the house with their looks and when turned on for a demo if not on at the time the sound impressed everyone and not only that they impressed me.

With my house having other creative products around like headphones and earbuds and of course soundbars in some rooms it makes a pretty nice ecosystem which I tend to try build in one room or another or my outside office  and Creative always deliver on their audio and this time around it is also aesthetics and how these look no matter where they are as I have moved them around to test them out of course.

With a superb build quality to begin with the stands are weighty therefore will not budge no matter where placed and the speakers themselves just grab your attention wanting a closer look from everyone makes a statement.

How do these speakers sound

OK as folk know I test many brands and have been for many years and Creative is one of them and I am not biased in my reviews as my social profiles tell you I say it as I see it and these are simply fantastic not only by looks but with sound, these can connect to basically anything you have at home and enhance the audio experience even on your TV.

With your PC you have more to play with however the apps on Android and iOS deliver enough to give you some control on the audio experience and you will enjoy it trust me on this.
