Tech Review – The JBL Charge 5 Portable Waterproof speaker with powerbank. #JBL #Charge5 #Tech

Need a new speaker and one that is suitable for outdoors well this one in my book is certainly one to look at and if you have the money I would suggest picking up a pair of them, One on its own is more than adequate to get the sounds pumping with the sounds being heard wide and far enough but two would really enhance the game and you can pump out the tunes with great sound too.

Built like a tank this speaker can be used indoors and outdoors but with most of us now in BBQ mode like me it has been tested in both scenarios and outdoors and has a great soundstage for all fans including a nice bass level here. This is well built and has simple to use controls up top which makes for easy commands and besides using this for music it is great for phone calls too should you wish to use it for them.  On the rear there is a USB-C port and a USB port which enables you to charge other devices on the go so it could save you some day if at the beach or out at a picnic and your smartphone runs low on juice.

 

Like I said earlier this comes with JBL boost which enables you to connect more JBL party boost compatible products together of these which would be some set up but for the most 2 would be enough, though I would love to see 4 in action it would be some sound experience. This is know as daisy chaining in the industry and many manufacturers use this today.

You will get around 20 hours of use with this speaker and of course it has got IP67 rating which means you can take it anywhere, Overall I was impressed with this speaker and can easily recommend it.

AIRPULSE launch the A80 bookshelf speakers in electric Blue. #AIRPULSE #Tech #Speakers

AIRPULSE has released the quintessential modern bookshelf speaker – the A80 – in a stunning electric blue. In addition to the original Walnut Finish, the recently released A80 matches in equal parts its technical superiority and stunning design. Created to be the perfect combination of conventional loudspeaker and digital XMOS system, the A80 offers a superb sound quality from a stylish unit. 

The A80 is AIRPULSE’S entry level plug and play speaker that utilizes the brand’s signature horn-loaded aluminium ribbon tweeter and proprietary 4.5-inch magnet ferrite mid woofer to drive the system. The thin aluminium ribbon diaphragm has high sensitivity, superb transient response, extended frequency range and well-defined resolution. This meticulously formulated horn shape produces directional and optimized high frequencies from the ribbon tweeter, so they are aimed at the listeners, minimizing unwanted inflections and producing a superior, three-dimensional sound with excellently defined details. 

The mid woofer is a 4.5’ hard anodized aluminium alloy cone suspended in a heavy, ultra-rigid cast magnesium alloy frame. Featuring a 30mm diameter voice coil, it is unusually larger than most loudspeakers of this size. It has been shown that larger voice coils have less power compression because they run at a cooler operating temperature. In terms of this sound produced, this means a more realistic and dynamic representation of the music. 

The interior of the A80 is padded with professional pyramid soundproofing foam, reducing unwanted resonance, while the oval vent tube is carefully designed to minimize wind noise while in use. The A80 cabinet is built with an 18-mm thick high-strength MDF in beautiful walnut finish that, while making this a stylish addition to any room, further reduces coloration and audio distortion. 

Connect audio sources to the A80 via AUX, RCA, optical, coaxial, USB, professional balanced input, and Bluetooth. The Bluetooth input uses version 5.0 and has support for Qualcomm aptX codec, resulting in minimal interruptions. The well – known American TRANSPARENT cable is used for internal connections to ensure minimum signal loss, producing a reliable sound quality. 

Bass, treble and volume controls are located on the back panel. Easily brighten the highs-frequency to your taste and adjust the amount of bass according to the listening environment. Included with the pair of speakers is a wireless remote that allows you to switch between inputs, adjust volume and mute your speakers from a distance.

Tech Review – JAM Audio bookshelf speakers. #Audio #Tech #JAMAudio

JAM audio are a well known audio brand who have a vast range of audio products at affordable prices such as earphones and true wireless earbuds you can see a range of them on site by searching. This time around though they have introduced some bookshelf speakers to their portfolio and a welcome product too.

These are well built and look great with a matt finish and deliver a good punch too especially with the bass end of things so bass fans will certainly want to check these out, these will fit in anywhere in the home or you can place them beside your TV or indeed on a bookshelf once it has the height free, I don’t sport books of any sort so my set up will be different and have them placed either side of my TV and they blend in quite nice with their simple clean design.

When it comes to the tech inside we have  4 internal speakers (2 x bass drivers, 2 x tweeters), Bluetooth compatible 5.0 , Speaker diameter 10cm,  Frequency 80Hz-15Hz, Bass reflex, 3.5mm AUX in,  Mains operated, 30 watts and a 2 year warranty. Tech Review – Google Nest Audio, it is powerful. #GoogleNest #Audio #Speaker

Over the last few days I have been testing out the all new Google Nest speaker, it packs a punch and overall trounces the past iterations and the bass delivered is also excellent. For me that is good and anyone that likes bass so lets get this out of the way, the volume is also superb and it can be heard throughout the whole house and not only this you can of course pair up to existing speakers and if you have two of these you are in for some real audio pleasure if the tone suits you.

On the rear there is a mic switch but there is other buttons on top hidden underneath the fabric if you will that can play and pause and control the volume levels but you can ask the device to do the same which is the point of such devices but for those who wish to do so can touch the device to command those simple functions.

 

If you currently have any of the smaller speakers you might ask is this worth the upgrade and the answer is yes and if you have the money to spare I would suggest buying two. Overall here you are getting a faster better experience and also a seamless connection to older devices but this is much louder and faster than before and I for one will be getting another one in the house.

Need a new speaker for the summer or what is left of it well this speaker is one to check out with all the features on board and some really thumping bass to go along with it, Joking aside about the summer this is an ideal house speaker too and will certainly fill a large room easily and it looks well and built well and will get those tunes going in no time,this is loud it packs a punch WITH A 130W and has other features thrown in for good measure.

Bigger than many portable speakers it is still portable and can be used anywhere and it has really nice lights on the front and sides too to spice up the effects,most speakers come with no lights so this one is different, there is easy to use controls too and it is IPX5 rated and can also act as a powerbank should you need to charge your phone or tablet which is handy especially outdoors if you are streaming from your smartphone or tablet. This has 14 hours of battery life so it will easily last a good night in the back garden or house or even at a picnic somewhere.

The controls are great and place well on top of the speaker where you can skip,reverse,play pause and change your volume with nice rounded buttons that sink into the top of the speaker which is easy to navigate, on the underside you have rubber footing too and a tripod mount should you wish to use one, the build is solid and will take a beating by the looks of it and you have a handle on the rear which makes it easy to pick up,, check out the video below for a full tour and sound test and hear that bass go. One thing I might add if you have the money I would buy a second one just to enhance things even more.
