SOUNDPEATS Cove Pro Over-Ear Headphones Review

The SOUNDPEATS Cove Pro Over-Ear Headphones come with Hi-Res Audio and LDAC and for the price you are getting an excellent package and again I will say the need to spend over 200 euro on headphones is gone out the window and SOUNDPEATS have delivered and excellent product here.

These are comfortable to wear with plush cups and again on the headband so for the long duration gamers music listeners or movie watchers these are ideal they also fold up but no travel case included in the box.

There is some controls on these headphones and one one side which is great, with the controls you have call control you can play and pause music skip and reverse tracks and so on you also have access to your voice assistant there is also a dedicated ANC button to switch bewtween modes.

The audio is excellent on these headphones and you should also do your adaptive EQ test to get the best results with the EQs on deck you have a choice you can also create your own if you wish, out of the box using what is there at the ready these sound fanstastic, having tested many genres movies and music they do not dissapoint the 40mm titanium drivers pack a real punch here, calls are fine too and they have excellent ANC there is no lag latencey noted either on testing which is thanks to BT 6.0.

Overalla solid pair of headphones that deliver on audio in all instances and great features for the price there is nothing to complain about.

Battery life is also great here however this vairies per user they claim up to 95 hours but real world testing for me with max volume and ANC etc I averaged about 60 hrs you also get 11 hours of use after a 10 minute charge which is excellent. You can also connect to two devices which is handy for those like me who work on PC laptop and phone.

Overall for the money here these are worth the spend and knowing you will get decent sound an app great battery life and more.

steelseries Arctis Gamebuds Review

The SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds are their latest in-ear earbuds on offers targetted at gamers however these can be used as standalone earbuds and overall the results are quite impressive, having tested over 250 pairs of earbuds these sound better than expected as a whole and is a must for gamers

The design is a typical standard earbud and sit well in the ears feeling secure and will not fall out even if excercising, the case is your average size and will fit in any pocket there is a button on each side and is tactile which I prefer over touch based earbuds and these worked well with no false results there is a nice clicky sound to them and are accuate each time.

In the case you also get a dongle like most of their headsets giving you Low Latency Using 2.4GHz wireless instead of Bluetooth eliminates the “audio lag” that usually makes earbuds impossible for competitive shooters. Quick Switch: You can triple-tap the bud to instantly swap between your gaming console (2.4GHz) and your phone (Bluetooth 5.3).

There is a specific Xbox version (white/black) that includes a security chip for Microsoft consoles, but still works with everything else. The PlayStation version will not work on Xbox. I tested mine on the Nintendo Switch Xbox phone and PC

The sound profile is punchy and detailed and most importanly immersive but the Arctis Companion App offers more and gives you control over the earbuds while the sound is excellent the app turns things up a notch and I have notice things wehen gaming I would not hear on regular earbuds and it is joy to hear

You can load specific EQ profiles for games like Apex Legends, Call of Duty, or Elden Ring directly from your phone. These presets actually change the sound signature on the buds themselves, so the settings stay active even when you plug the dongle into a Switch or PS5. ANC is decent enough and overall you will be please also the mic quality is quite good given there is no boom arm like their headsets offer.

The controls also work well and they can be customised too you can see this in the video review down below and we go through the app

The GameBuds have a great battery life up to 10 Hours on a single session on a 2.4GHz connection (with ANC off).

A 15 minutes fast charge in the case gives you 3 hours of playtime and the case supports wireless charging, a premium touch often skipped by competitors and a preferrence of mine.

Overall if you want to hear more than regular earbuds when gaming these are what you need and they are also excellent at general use for music and movies and worth the punt.

Tech Review – Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2

The Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 is probably the last pair of earbuds from the brand according to some new seen on the internet how true that is remains to be seen and for me hopefully not but perhaps dipping in a new area such as air conduction or bone conduction type earphones..

People may struggle to tell the difference between these and the previous generation and they would be right as this time around all the new upgrades or on the inside including the case for spatial audio when you connect another device to it, there is new colours too and overall better looking than the typical Black offering we tend to see much of these days.

When it comes to the fit there is no issues here at all and you get extra tips in the box as you can see in the unboxing of both new variants here.

The earbuds have a nice texture and look to them giving them a more premium look and so is the soft touch case, the case size is average for me and looks well although the colour I have is more difficult to keep clean for some reason however a wipe with a damp cloth brings it back to new.

The Jabra Sound Plus app is of course present here loaded with features as expected and again we see Dolby head tracking on board along with all the other features we have covered multiple times but we take a look in the video review below.

The speakers by some may be considered small but the other tech packed in here is up at the top with a new hear through better spatial sound and head tracking not only this there is better ANC  which is subjective and how you use your earbuds the EQs and volumes etc.

For me overall there is an improvement acrross the board with the Gen 2 and did not disappoint me at all and within the app alongside playing with the EQs there is much to like here and asked if they are worth the upgrade I would say yes however this is subjective but from using the last model I can tell a clear difference for the most.

Highs lows and mids all fine super bass, this was one big improvement great hear through and a great audio experience all round indoors and outdoors, calls excellent to and a slight improvement over background noise, again this differs from indoors and outdoor use but the calls overall pretty good and clear both ends.

There is multi pairing again and like me if you use two products everyday it is a seamless effort here to get things done the buttons work well and do not apply any pressure on the ears like some can and all the commands worked well each time which is plenty, everything is hear from volume control skip and reverse tracks play and pause, voice assistant and sound modes.

Control options

Overall if you are in the market for new top end earbuds these should be on your list and taking into account they could be the last time to get earbuds from Jabra and if you have been a fan of other brands and not made the switch to test out what Jabra have to offer this is your final chance to see what you have been missing.
