Setup and use

The set is standard allowing the tablet to be plugged directly into a laptop and used with the option to use a dual monitor. ( Downloading of required free software required )

 

 

 

The stylus is battery-free while the tables require 2 hours of charging to facilitate 10 hours of drawing. During the use of the tablet, there was no noticeable latency from drawing to screen capture with a comfortable feel pen, while the nips supplied did not come in a case and were easily lost if not put away tidily.

Some models come with a Wireless receiver but during our testing, this is not a requirement as to use the tablet required to be placed in front of a monitor to see what you are drawing.

Conclusion

The tablet looks good and feels solid with an anti-slip mat but is let down by the packaging of the replacement nibs which are sure to get lost if used by a younger person. The supplied adapters, USB-C allows increased functionality to connect to an Android device with the customizable shortcut keys great allowing for a truly customised experience. The drawing tablet takes time to become familiar with, though handy to have a dual screen option to see the actual options of the shortcut keys (or required a play around with to become familiar with all shortcuts)

The product is designed for   beginners for drawing with the setup easy to use but requires a lot of practice in terms of hand-to-eye coordination and memory of the short key is used,

Tech Review – Fiitii HifiDots from MIFO

The FiiTii HiFiDots are the latest earbuds from the company which we have been testing for around a month which gave us plenty of time to get our ears around which is an excellent lead time it must be said to go over a product inside out and that is what we did with these having came on several trips which included one to Milan and here is where it all began and it was with the ANC alone that gets these in my top 5 earbuds this year.

The case is one of many things, how it opens and how it is built, the case has a small button to release the lid and it pops upward which is really cool and something new compared to most earbud cases out there today, the case is one of the most solid earbud cases you will find and due to its build and the materials used you are missing out on wireless charging which for me is no huge deal because of the product overall although I do prefer cases with wireless charging I will let them away with it.

The earbuds themselves are small but mighty they look cool fit well and are simple to use when it comes to the controls and being so small I thought my clunky fingers would be an issue but this was not the case at all. They are simple to control and easy to use and we go through this in the video review below along with a look at their app.

How these sound of course is the main course for these and these are simply fantastic. When at first I got these I was delighted to see they had an app to go with the earbuds and something I suggested before with the MIFO S Active we review which again where tiny but might and these had no app so does the app make a big difference? Indeed it does and these sound great, the volume the highs lows and mids and the ANC is one of the best yet I have tried this year and gearing toward headphones status.

Once these are turned up to the max you can forget about what is going on around you even on a plane train or a bus, yes I have been on them all in my testing this time as lots of travel was going on which came in handy for testing these and another pair of earbuds and these clearly won right out in most aspects. Calls also excellent on these as at the time I again had to take many and clear both ends, no lag latency either noted.

The App

 

The earbuds feature a bass dynamic driver that is 10mm, with 2 layers of diaphragm, PU-DLC. This double-layer structure allows magnetic flux to increase by a significant 20%-resulting in lush, full mids and potently dynamic bass.
HiFiDots’s meticulously designed internal structure features 2 exclusively customised BA drivers. These BA drivers are placed closer to the opening of the sound tube for less treble loss. Overall, thanks to its design, not only do the A’s 2 BA drivers sound transparent, they also work perfectly with the bass dynamic driver for a cohesive sound, without disjointed treble and mids.

With Passive Crossover processing technology(2 years of audio debugging by audio engineers), it not only achieves strong balanced performance on treble, mids and bass, but also has no frequency division trace feeling. It meets the requirement of Hi-Fi digital, to be capable in recognition of its ability to bring you accurate high-fidelity audio as the artist intended.

Tech Review – JISULIFE Handheld Fan PRO1 S

Portable fans are very popular and I have several fans in the house that are portable but on a bigger scale I have one at my desk and one on my locker but not ideal for carrying around, this one however is and is fantastic, pun intended and make with aluminium and not cheap plastic and is very robust yet it is also light and looks cool.

There is one switch on the rear and a wheel on the front to turn the power up of the fan and you can feel it instantly and the air is cold as expected, there is a USB-C port on the rear and a strap to hold it to make it more secure. As said there is many fans on the market we can carry around but this one here is the best one I have seen yet and the quality alone is superb which makes it an ideal kit to carry with you on hot summer days and so on.

What I also like is the information on the front of the device which again is something you do not see too often with these gadgets and it just makes this portable fan even better and it also has great battery life of up to 15 hours which means you can easily get a day out of it on an extreme hot day unlike others on the market.

Tech Review – Urbanista Memphis Bluetooth Speaker

The Urbanista Memphis is one of the latest speakers on offer and two were announced recently and this one is the smaller of the two launched, not only that it is one the lightest speakers I have tested in some time and even for its size it packs a punch and has all the features you need to take it along with you anywhere. Being the size of a can of drink perhaps smaller being honest it is super portable and can be used anywhere be it the beach the pool your back garden or just sat on your bedside locker and will certainly get the tunes going with a great punch and bass behind it.

The speaker is as mentioned smaller than your average can of soft drink and has a nice fabric around the main housing, there is a rubber circular foot underneath to stop it moving however we did notice it moving as some speakers can sue to the vibration they give out, the is three buttons on the bottom to control the tracks pair another speaker and power it on and off, there is a port in the back to charge the unit via USB-C and a real bonus having a micro sd slot to add your own tunes to it which is handy and like me I do have a card loaded with tunes..

There was no distortion noted whatsoever when turned up to the max and highs lows and mids came out fine too, no matter what genre you throw at it the speaker sounds exceptionally good for its size and was better than I had anticipated. To top things off this can also be hung from a tree or your backpack or even bike with the large carabener clip that comes with it inside the box.

Tech Review – POCO X5 5G

The POCO X5 5G has been one of my daily drivers for some time now and first off the phone is super light and looks well and several asked about the device as the colour stands out with the colour I had, there is several nice colours to pick from which is a good start unlike others that have the typical Black or Silver but this now seems to be changing with many brands offering more than one or two colours on launch.

The brand might not be familiar here in retail but almost all other tech stores stock POCO devices and in my local town there is several of these shops that have several models from the POCO range and they stand out on the shelf with the prominent packaging and people often ask me about these devices.

The device itself has also variable price ranges depending where you shop so you need to do your home work as there is near a 100 euro difference from my research, see links below for where you can buy and a site I often use myself for buying tech at reduced prices with fast delivery.

I have done a thorough walk-through on the device which you can see below and I am not one to waffle on about specs but we shall talk about I found it over my time using it. Link here

I am a power user with phones and this phone for me served me well it must be said and would last me a day with what I typically use it for and that is everything. To begin with it has a huge screen being a 6.67 inch Amoled display with that buzz word 120Hz refresh rate that so many keep banging on about nobody really notices but at the price point it has it which is good and media consumption is quite good on it with lots of screen estate. The speaker is not too bad being honest either for the most part and loud enough but can sound flat depending on what you listen to and source.

The build is plastic but looks more expensive and the materials used obviously give it the light weight feel it has and in fact sometimes I thought I left it somewhere or on a table when in fact it was in my trousers or jacket pocket but you do get a case and I suggest you use it as that gives it a bit more thickness and of course protects it from getting marked etc  and it is not so bad for collecting fingerprints as other devices but that talk bores me today regarding the fingerprint collection as most devices do it with no case.

The POCO X5 is powered by the Snapdragon 695, now while I am use to more powerful phones I have to take into account my readers are not me, well most of them and for me this phone would serve anyone well with just browsing doing emails social media and shopping and get two days out of it where as for me I have a different set of needs many more apps some of which are a resource hog and overall it still got me though my days with no issues.

The camera for me on this phone was overall mixed to say the least I had this phone out both day and night and it did well for the most part but multiple times I got mixed results for the same photo no matter what mode I tried and in fact sometimes came out as good as higher end phones but this was and the lesser side of the scenario here. I found the front facing camera a better performer the stabilisation on the rear was a bit jankey and in the daytime it did quite well overall compared to using it at night and the slow mo was not great at all. But if you want it for your tiktok and your selfies you will be grand but check the video out and see for yourself and make your own mind up.

Overall it would serve anyone well on a budget it has a headphone jack it has a great battery and big bright display and that suits a good proportion of users out there and from what I see even locally there is many people now using POCO phones rather than going for brands in retail outlets and buying your phone sim free is the best option and it is something I have said for years, there is no need to sign up to two year contracts to have the latest and greatest when phones half the price and half the cost over the term of use will do and POCO suits that market very well and the POCO X5 5G can also fit in.

Tech Review – STM Goods CHARGETREEGO 3-in-1 wireless charger

When it comes to charging devices we are all custom to using the equipment provided given we now see less plugs and cables in the boxes now these days, there is many other solutions out there which we have covered many of and you can see some in this video but this option from STM Goods in a one for all solution if you have a phone earbuds and watch which means one cable for the lot instead of three which is excellent for many reasons including a messy work top bedside locker and so on and less cables.

Tech Review – Tudia MergeGrip cases for the Google Pixel 7a

Tudia is a brand we have been using some time now with all our devices and they stand up to the test and time, In fact I still use some of their cases today from devices that are near two years old and they have held up rather well and still in great shape and that means my devices are too and always cased up as I do not want an expensive screen or glass replacement bill, Tudia cover most of the mobile phones out there today and are a brand I can easily recommend to those who have just got a new phone.

Tech Review – Otterbox Commuter case for the Google Pixel 7a

Otterbox is a well known case brand who has protected devices for many years and we of course tried and tested many which have been popular here and on our YouTube channel. So we went and bought our own commuter case for the Google Pixel 7a and check it out.

The case itself is of course robust and has a dual layer and all corners are protected on the device itself, the edges offers a nice grip whilst the back of the case is up for discussion being mostly slippy with two rubberised parts either side which is also grippy, the keys are slightly raised and work well and the front of the device has a decent lip tapering off either end to protect the screen face down. The case does allow wireless charging which is great and works fine. Gel Blaster takes you to the next level in awesome outdoor fun with the exciting new Gel Blaster SURGE.  Adrenalin filled, competitive play doesn’t need to be messy!  The Gel Blaster SURGE is a fun filled blaster with barley any mess or clean up. This perhaps may not be new to most out there in other formats as we have plenty of camps to play similar games but there is a difference they hurt these do not and it is all about fun and games be it at home or in your back garden or local park.

The kit itself is pretty cool and well built and the blaster has a super cool sound as you will see and hear in the video below and sounds even better in slow motion. This is powered by USB-C and has a great battery life and can give hours of fun plus you can customise your gun with colour options and fittings, there is also a set of safety glasses in the box and a bag of 10K pellets which you drop into water once your initial tub runs out. you can change the barrel if you wish too for more action and you have two levels to shoot with which is semi and full auto which is excellent.

We only had the basic pack to test out but nonetheless everyone here enjoyed spending some time with it and coming into the summer months it is and ideal kit to have when you get bored or have nothing else to do. Check it out
