#Android and #iOS versions of #MixRadio released to Private Beta Testers by @Tiwaash #Music
Earlier today the very popular personalized music streaming service on WindowsPhone, MixRadio released its BETA Android and iOS versions of the App. Whilst this is not a launch it does point in a new direction for the MixRadio team. We may have expected this as Microsoft sold this awesome service to LINE Corporation sometime back.
MixRadio is a radio focused service that serves up music suggestions based on your chosen parameters. Favorite artists, genres, or even just using some of the curated mixes, MixRadio usually comes up with tunes you want to hear, or just hit Play Me and it plays music which you can thumbs up or down to make it a personal radio station.
MixRadio evolved from Nokia Music which was exclusive to Nokia devices. Nokia later on passed on MixRadio to Microsoft as part of the acquisition and then Microsoft sold it to Line Corporation. Keeping in mind the popularity and the amazing music streaming service, MixRadio is now game to take on the Android & iOS platforms. We are yet to see how the apps look but one thing is very clear with this initiative that MixRadio is on a huge expansion spree. We wish them all the very best and extend all our support both as bloggers and personal.

adidas SMART RUN now Powered with MixRadio through the latest update #MixRadio #adidasSmartRun #Fitness by @Tiwaash
Good news for the fitness freaks who enjoy their music while working out. Today adidas Smart Run got updated to firmware version 4.0.1 which brings in a host of features and more importantly the support for your personal radio station Mixradio.
What’s New with this update?
With this drain the biggest addition is MixRadio’s music service to SMART RUN. MixRadio is truly the personal radio station which brings you free music mixes based on the music you love. The mixes are available to download for offline play to help power you through your workouts with the latest music hits. Share what your listening to on #MixRadio with the world through #IFTTT by @Tiwaash #Music
Recently MixRadio Music Connects 2014 an annual get together of the musicians, concluded in India and brought in loads of cheers to the music lovers giving them more reasons to love the free Music Streaming service MixRadio (exclusive to Nokia devices). I’m personally a huge fan of MixRadio as it knows what I want to listen. The more you use the better music suggestions it gives you.
So here I’m covering one interesting feature which got introduced at Music Connects 2014. Now you can share what you are playing on MixRadio with your friends even without doing anything extra, just continue listening the song and its shared on all the social media you choose to.
MixRadio now allows you to share what you are listening to through IFTTT all you have to do is, just sign up and add the recipes. The APIs take the feed directly as you listen and post them on your behalf.
After signing up in IFTTT you will be directed to your dashboard, where you have to choose MixRadio, connect it to IFTTT with your Nokia account (the one used on MixRadio). Now add the recipe to your account on IFTTT and there you are good to share what you listening to.
You can add any number of recipe and they will be triggered once you are done listening. Do comment below for any questions or queries. Happy listening & sharing.

#NokiaMixRadio – Your Personal Radio Station,changes demoed by @deano_42 #nokia
Today nokia mix radio updated to version 4.1
First, mixes have been reorganised. These used to be presented in a long list. But now they are organised into three panes: Featured (selected mixes by the local entertainment managers); Genres (like Indie, Hip-Hop, Pop, etc.); and Categories (things like new releases, moods or occasions). As you learn where your favourite Mixes are placed, it will become quicker and easier to get to them with this new system. You might even discover a new mix or two in the process.
Second, navigation in the My Music section has been improved.
Third, the new version of the app introduces an A-Z list for your MixRadio favourites, similar to the one that’s present on the app list screen when you go over 25 installed apps. You can press a letter to bring up an alphabetical grid that zips you to the artist you’re looking for really quickly.
Encore
So, just a few tweaks that help make this great app even better. As usual, the update will be available through the Windows Phone Store and, if you haven’t got it already, you should get a notification that it’s ready to download and install in the next 24 hours.
Stay tuned for all the latest Nokia MixRadio news here at Conversations, and do use the chance to feedback on the service via the app settings, you’ll find an item called ‘feedback’ – use it!
Happy listening!
