Can AI autogenerate games?

AI has taken on a central role in a lot of the things we’re doing. But can it really work as well as we think? The answer is yes it can, for AI can autogenerate parts of, or in fact whole games in real time. Of course, the output is still not as complex or of as high quality as those created in a studio over time, but the results are still there. So what can AI generate and how successful is it?

No code game creation

To kick things off, back in 2024, generative AI was used to recreate the game, Doom. However, it used none of the code or graphics from the game. Impressively, the Doom game recreated by the AI is completely playable, with researchers who tested this saying that other AI models could also be used to create games from scratch down the line. The model responsible for the recreated Doom game, GameNGen, was created at Google Research to see if it could. The game can only be played for 20 seconds, but it has all the same features as the original including scores, ammunition levels and map layouts. The illusion falls apart quickly though, as the AI runs out of memory. However, the way this worked is that the initial model was tasked to play the game over and over, while a second one simply replicated it, learning how millions of inputs caused changes in the game. This also didn’t happen in real-time, but over time, so what can AI models do now?

Using AI in the game development process

AI is also being used during game development. This is increasingly for all game types from major video games like The Witcher 3 or Elden Ring, to slots that you can find on the top online casino in UK. Now, instead of just tweaking code or minor basic background tasks, AI is creating the backgrounds, and not only that, it’s writing reactive dialogue for NPCs, changing gameplay within the game as you play and more. In fact, AI is changing the game quite literally, streamlining the gaming process in many different creative ways, reducing game crunch time and reducing massive teams to smaller, more focused ones. At this point, AI is taking on a lot of the heavy lifting associated with game creation, so its no surprise to find that some models can now do this in real time.

Real-time game generation

For some models, it’s now possible to simply input a description or concept art for the game, and the AI will create it. These are the games that, while they do work, often show the lack of finesse in the creation process. Yes, the model can do it, but the games lack quality, depth and complexity. As such, it’s still clear that more time is needed to make a good game, rather than doing it on the fly. However, the possibilities are most definitely there.

This is noticeable in other aspects of AI game generation. For example, many companies are switching to AI powered platforms to automate game development tasks. While this isn’t game creation per se, it does mean that AI is changing a game in real-time as it’s being played. This helps to improve the gaming experience and is already in place across a wide array of different games. There are experimental projects in the works too, such as those from Google’s Arts and Culture lab to explore AI’s potential in game development. And then there are things like Oasis, a sandbox similar to Minecraft that showcases just how well AI can build a game from nothing.

So, while the games aren’t great yet, it is entirely possible for AI to create playable games in real-time.

Ireland’s Favourite Online Games in 2025

It’s no secret that Ireland has a strong gaming community. 2025 has shown just how wide the country’s tastes have become. From strategy-based multiplayer hits to casual mobile titles, Irish players are spending their evenings exploring new worlds and sharpening their skills. The rise of eSports, the improvement in internet speeds, and the accessibility of affordable gaming laptops have all helped fuel this momentum. It makes gaming part of everyday conversation from Cork to Donegal.

Multiplayer Games Take the Lead

Irish players have moved well beyond single-player adventures. Online gaming is the preferred choice for many. Social features, regular updates, and in-game events pull in steady crowds. Whether it’s five-minute sessions on mobile puzzle games during a Luas ride or late-night raids in MMO universes, players are finding ways to slot gaming into their routines.

Casino games have also carved out a place as a popular genre among Irish gamers, sitting alongside puzzle titles and RPGs in many players’ libraries. For those exploring this side of gaming, recommended casino sites not on GamStop offer a wide selection of slots, card games, and live dealer experiences that appeal to players seeking a mix of entertainment and chance. It’s another layer in Ireland’s diverse gaming appetite in 2025, showing how players continue to blend different gaming experiences to suit their tastes and schedules.

Mobile Titles Continue to Dominate

On the other hand, mobile games remain Ireland’s most popular way to play. Titles like Royal Match, Clash of Clans, and EA Sports FC Mobile are consistently among the top downloads. These games offer quick sessions that don’t require heavy data use. They thrive on simplicity while still giving players the satisfaction of levelling up or competing with friends.

The social side of mobile gaming can’t be ignored either. Irish players are forming local WhatsApp groups to organise clan wars, share tips, or simply have a laugh after a close match. This sense of connection is one reason mobile games continue to outperform expectations. Even as high-spec consoles attract players with stunning visuals.

The Steady Growth of PC and Console Multiplayer

Despite the dominance of mobile gaming, PC and console titles still hold a firm place in Irish homes. Games like Call of Duty: Warzone, Fortnite, and Valorant remain popular. Players are always keen to improve their skills while catching up with friends online. Esports tournaments, often streamed on platforms like Twitch, have added a competitive edge that many Irish gamers find appealing.

Titles with strong Irish player bases often feature regular updates and seasonal events that keep them fresh. Games like FIFA 25 and Rocket League continue to draw in crowds with their familiar gameplay and new challenges. Story-heavy games such as Elden Ring and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansions are being enjoyed by players who still prefer immersive single-player experiences when they get the time.

A Niche Love for Indie and Retro

Not every player in Ireland is after the newest AAA release or the latest season pass. Indie games and retro titles have carved out a steady niche. Players are exploring creative puzzle games, narrative-driven adventures, and re-releases of classics. Titles like Stardew Valley, Hades, and Dave the Diver are often discussed in Irish gaming forums. This shows there’s still a strong appetite for games that focus on storytelling and unique gameplay without heavy monetisation.

Emulators and retro handhelds have also become more visible at local gaming meetups. From Pokémon Red to Super Mario Bros., retro gaming is acting as a link between generations. They can bring families together in a way few hobbies can.

The Influence of Irish Streamers

Irish gaming influencers on Twitch and YouTube continue to play a role in shaping what games are popular locally. When an Irish streamer picks up a new game or returns to an older title, it often sparks a wave of interest among their followers. This peer-led approach to gaming recommendations has a notable impact on download trends and online discussions within the community.

These streamers also provide a sense of familiarity for Irish viewers, using local humour and references while playing. All this adds a comforting layer of relatability. It’s another reason why Irish gaming culture has developed its own identity in 2025. One that feels connected while still exploring global trends.

The Social Thread in Ireland’s Gaming Scene

One clear thread throughout Ireland’s favourite games in 2025 is their ability to bring people together. Whether it’s dropping into a quick match of Among Us with friends, joining a community Minecraft server, or competing in an online FIFA league, games have become a steady background in many Irish social circles.

As broadband access improves and gaming becomes even more accessible across devices, Ireland’s favourite online games are likely to keep changing. Yet the core reasons why people play, connection, challenge, and a chance to unwind, remain the same. Gaming will continue to hold its place in Irish culture.

Minecraft Hacks: 7 Insanely Effective Tips for Success

If there’s one game that has completely rocked our worlds and made us fall in love with it in an instant, that’s without denying Minecraft. It has given all of us the opportunity to build different things within the game.

And precisely something like this enabled players to express their creative side and rely on their imagination and inventiveness to build whatever their heart desired. It’s no wonder why it’s so popular among both kids and adults.

However, if you’ve never played it before, yet you recently decided you want to give it a try, then maybe it would be wise to opt for some tricks and hacks that will help you be successful in this spectacular world. If you’re interested in uncovering them, then stay tuned!

Make Use Of Lamas

We talked to some passionate gamers about this game to see if they use any particular strategy while playing it. Even though they did reveal some strategies and tactics, we were surprised when we heard that they do not use lamas as much.

And that’s such a shame because they can be extremely beneficial. How come, you’re probably wondering? Namely, with their help, you can efficiently transport different items, particularly if you’re not able to access Shulker Boxes.

All you have to do is to click on llama while it is holding a chest and it will instantly turn into an inventory space. The size of it will depend on the strength of the llama. To make things a bit clearer.

For instance, the ones that are the most omnipotent will have fifteen slots, while the ones that are very weak, won’t have more than three. If you want to make them more powerful, then you should turn to breeding.

Pick The Right Server

If you would like to enjoy this game to the fullest, then you simply must be surrounded by people who are as equally as passionate about Minecraft as you are. These like-minded people can easily be found on different Minecraft servers which is a perfect opportunity to make some new friends. Not to mention the fact that a lot of them are true experts and survival gurus when it comes to this, meaning you’ll get the chance to receive some great advice.

These days, you can run into numerous websites that will provide you with a list of some of the best Minecraft servers in the world, so make use of them.

Don’t Forget Torches

If there’s one thing that should be collected as early as you can, it’s without a doubt torches. Why do they matter so much? Well, that’s because you can never predict when you’ll be needing them and they can generally be of huge help, particularly if you’re stuck in a cave.

If that happens to you, they will immediately light up, plus they can also break down sand, which means that you won’t be forced to employ a shovel. Therefore, it’s easy to see that torches are practically a necessity when it comes to this game

The Importance Of A Base

Just like in real life, in Minecraft, it is also important to have a specific base, a place where you can always return to. According to a vast majority of seasoned Minecraft players, precisely something like this is going to help you survive in this game for as long as possible.

So where are you supposed to create this base? It would be advisable to set it up in the nearest vicinity of your world’s spawn area. This way, you’ll always be able to locate your base no matter where you are.

If you want to have a sturdy base, then it would be smart to load it with things like food, additional sets of tools and weapons, an ender chest, backup elytra with firework rockets, and additional storage for blocks.

If by any chance you begin working on projects that are not too close to your main base, then you should consider making a temporary base that’s near your projects so that you do not need to travel to your main base.

Another thing that you could do is to set up several main bases in different parts of the world so that you can quickly restock at any location.

Lava, Lava, Lava

If you weren’t aware of the importance of lava, now is the time to find out how essential it is, meaning that you must grab it as soon as you lay your eyes on it. Why makes it so special? Namely, it is a spectacular fuel that can be utilized in the furnace, plus it’s much more durable in comparison to coal or any wooden material.

Oh, and we would like to remind you that it is also one of the key ingredients that you can use to make obsidian, which represents a rare block. Therefore, if you want to thrive in this game and become a true pro, then you simply must grab as much lava as you can.

Skeletons Are No Good

We assume that you already figured out by now (if you’ve been playing this game for a certain amount of time) that Minecraft is filled with mobs. And there’s no need to explain to you that they shouldn’t be perceived as your friends.

However, the most dangerous ones are undoubtedly skeletons, hence you should definitely steer clear of them. What makes them so awful? Well, according to many Minecraft connoisseurs, they cause a lot of problems and are unfortunately very precise, meaning they can easily kill you. So as soon as you notice them, please just run for your life!

Mushroom Biomes Are Actually Very Safe

One of the safest places in this game is one hundred percent the Mushroom Biome due to the fact that out there, you won’t stumble upon any mobs. Consequently, if we were you, we would most definitely build our home in it.

If you want to become a knowledgeable guru when it comes to this game, then you simply must implement some tips and tricks that will help you accomplish that. But don’t worry. With these, you’ll become a pro in no time!
