Tech Review – Wanbo-X2 Max projector

I have several projectors at home and love them all and are one of my favourite pieces of tech to review and enjoy watching my content on. Wanbo have sent us their latest on offer which is the Wanbo-X2 Max projector packed with features, the spec sheet looks good but it is all down to how it comes across for your viewing that counts and we will be taking a close look at this model, one of several the company has on offer at affordable prices.

With this projector you can do many things with and feel more immersed with the bigger picture so to speak and not only that you get big sound which is great, some projectors dish out poor sound but not this one it is loud and punchy with some nice bass in there no distortion or lag latency either noted during testing.

The picture though is what people like to know about these projectors and the picture is good on this no matter what you may use it for, it can be used for gaming watching movies and much more and you can of course cast from your device and hook up your laptop and consoles to see things in all their glory.

The quality is decent even on a darker wall I tried out and came out good overall we have native 1080p present and 450 ANSI which gives a brighter video to watch unlike 720p would in a projector. Some say you would need over 1000 lumens or ANSI to get a better picture which is a fair comment it all depends on how good you want the quality to be but as you will see in the video review below 450 is plenty for simple home use.

This projector has an AI image engine and auto focus and 4 points keystone correction again often left out from previous ones I have review at this price and it works well here and perfect if you have no idea spot to place or mount the projector you can still get the picture square on a wall even if not place directly in front of it.

How big you want the picture also depends on you and the closer the better quality which is obvious but there is three noted focal lengths or screen sizes from 50 120 inches which is ideal and of course you need to try out the 120 inch, if you have a white background of projector screen you will get better results too but this can be projected onto blinds or a darker wall and the picture comes through and not seeing pixels from the desired distance.

Wanbo-X2 specs

The UI is simple to use and navigate and there is tonnes of preloaded apps there is some restrictions as always with projectors but you can get around these easily enough with the know how or just ask someone who does. The noise is also not too loud as some can be from projectors and is tolerable when in use and if you turn your volume up like you should there will be no fan noise to worry about. To top it off you can also use this as a general music player/speaker by simply connecting your device and it has decently loud 2X5W speakers and finally Dual Band 6 Wi-Fi as mentioned above so no lag latency seen during my use so far.

One small gripe for me is the power cable is a bit on the short side.

Tech Review – Hollyland Lark Max Microphone System

The Hollyland Lark Max Microphone is an ideal tool for creators, new reporters and more, for me it is a product I have not used much but reviewed many mics over the years but this one is probably the best one so far when it comes to the product itself its build and the entire package as a whole.

You get a fantastic presentation and box with all the bits and pieces and more and a nice touch shell travel case so you can bring it with your in your tech or travel bag should you need it. It is a one stop shop for all your audio needs and looks like a pro kit too for those not familiar with them.

There are several ways this can be used which is handy, examples being just your self using it or having someone in the audience with you so if you are doing a podcast or interviewing someone it is a simple set up and you can get going in minutes, there is an array of cables in the box but what i like most is you can just plug it into your phone of choice and get going pretty fast which is convenient if  you are on the go and moving between interviews for example in different rooms like you would a tech conferences and the likes. It has a simple to use touch screen and control knob so you have choice here on control use.

It would be best to test out headphones yourself so you can get the sound you want and it is tunable so for me I have no particular sound stage in mind as I typically use my phones to do my recording but when testing this kit there was a notable difference in the tone of my voice and when positioning the mic you can notice the differences in the audio.

What is also beneficial here is the distances this can be used with not that I would ever have the need to or use but it is there which is up to 82oft and then you have exceptional battery life which is 14 hours, being honest I have not tried a kit like this one but that battery life seems good and legit after me testing it out over a few weeks I have had to only recharge it once.

I would not be an expert in the mic field per say but I can tell the big difference in the quality and tone of my voice having it on compared to other run of the mill mics I have tested and the audio is just better all round, this kit serves more than just one person unlike the other mics I have tried and overall a great addition to have at your disposal.

You can download movies and TV shows from HBO Max to your mobile device to view them offline. Decide on parental control

 

HBO is known for producing a lot of adult-oriented television, but HBO Max also features a tonne of kid-friendly programming. However, you’ll undoubtedly still want to take precautions to prevent your children from using the service’s more explicit titles. In contrast to many other programmes, like Disney Plus, HBO Max, fortunately, provides more robust parental control features.

Switch profiles by clicking the profile symbol when you are on your profile. On the Who’s Watching the screen, you may then select Add Kid. (You can run three concurrent streams and up to five user profiles simultaneously.) After that, you establish a PIN that enables you to switch between the two. By visiting your profile and choosing Parental Controls, you can modify your four-digit PIN whenever you choose.

Once the PIN has been set, you can enter your child’s name, birthday, and the movie and TV ratings (G through NC-17 and TV-Y up to TV-MA, respectively) that they are permitted to watch. Go to Switch Profiles > Manage Profiles, select the relevant profile, and select Edit Age and Parental Controls if you ever need to adjust the restricted content.

Audio descriptions are important for those who are blind. It’s not practical to look through every TV show and movie to see what choices are available, though. To view a selection of content that has audio descriptions available, open the hamburger menu and select Audio Description. When you’ve found something to watch, go to the playback menu and select the text box option. Then, under the Audio section, choose the audio description.

 

Include a Profile Photo

Want to add a special image to your account profile? Select Switch Profiles > Manage Profiles by clicking your profile icon. After selecting the profile, tap the camera icon. From here, you can select a character from the app’s library, snap your own photo, or upload an image. You can select pictures of characters from HBO, Adult Swim, and Warner Bros. franchises with the Choose a Character tool.

 

Prevent Freebees From Using Your Account

You can keep track of the devices that have logged into your account with HBO Max. If you suspect someone is utilising your account without your consent, this is useful. Manage Devices may be accessed by clicking your profile symbol. From there, you may sign out devices one by one or in bulk. You can also see all the devices that are logged into your account. HBO Max informed me that it might take up to four hours to sign me out when I first logged in on my phone and later decided to do it on a desktop browser.

HBO Max is currently not compatible with Roku or Amazon Fire devices, although it is supported by a large number of other gadgets.
