OSRAM named in Auto Express’s Top Products of Year 2025!

OSRAM’s LEDinspect 3-in-1 inspection light kit (LEDIL417) was launched in 2025 and is the first of its kind in the OSRAM portfolio, and, after also winning IAAF’s Product of the Year award in December, is now a multi award winner!

Included with the product are three attachments for the lamp: a standard torch attachment, a thin inspection lamp attachment; with two hinge positions, which rotate 180° and 230° respectively, and a gooseneck light attachment, that can bend and twist to illuminate hard to see locations across the whole car.

The same handle base is used for each of the three attachments, with each having four lighting modes, high, medium, low and flash. There is a magnet on the handle base for hands free working and the end of the gooseneck light attachment is also magnetic, which is helpful if the user needs to retrieve screws or small objects in hard-to-reach places.

In its Product of the Year issue, Auto Express commented: “Having decent illumination makes all the difference when you’re working on a car, but there are some situations when you’ll need a torch to peer into voids, and others when an inspection lamp is better. Osram’s LEDinspect 3-in-1 incorporates both and also includes a third option with a bendable gooseneck light attachment. This allows you to point the beam at the area you’re working, while using the magnetic base to fix the Osram in place and free up your hands. It’s pricier than having three different lamps from a cheaper brand, but the Osram LEDinspect 3-in-1 is built to last and is easier to manage.”

OSRAM reveals new wireless reversing camera system!

Original equipment (OE) manufacturer and renowned automotive specialist, OSRAM, has introduced another reversing camera to its extensive range, the ROADsight 4.3” Wireless Reversing Camera Kit (OWRCS4).

To improve visibility and safety for the driver and pedestrians in the vicinity, OSRAM has launched a new reversing camera OWRCS4, to complement its popular ROADsight 7” Wireless Reverseing Camera Kit (OWRCS7) launched earlier this year.

Being able to have access to a good quality rear camera allows drivers to thoroughly check the area behind them to ensure it’s clear and also show them what space is available when reversing. While a rearview mirror can give drivers a view of what is behind the vehicle, it lacks total visibility, which reversing cameras provide.

The OSRAM wireless reversing cameras, ROADsight REVERSE, can be fitted to 12V and 24V vehicles, including cars, light commercial vehicles, caravans, motorhomes, horse boxes – anything that may require a reversing camera.

The cameras are IP67 rated (dust and waterproof) and suitable for on and off road use. They are easy to install, and have a wireless connection of up to 100 metres in an open environment.

ROADsight 4.3” REVERSE – OWRCS4

The OSRAM ROADsight 4.3” REVERSE wireless camera kit (OWRCS4) has a 4.3 inch digital monitor (as the name suggests) and an adjustable suction cup mount. This product can support two different cameras, and the screen will split in two, so the driver can see both. Similar to the OWRCS7, it has on screen parking guidelines to assist the driver.

ROADsight REVERSE – OWRCS7

The OWRCS7, which is a ROADsight 7” REVERSE wireless camera has a seven inch compact AHD monitor and the ability to view a four way split screen for optional additional cameras. It comes with a wireless 1080p camera and also has night vision, giving drivers the ability to see clearly in dark situations as well as on screen parking guidelines. Further, it comes with an adjustable sunshade for the monitor so the driver can also see the screen clearly.

Sony Releases Next Generation ZV-E10 II and Camera Kit for Content Creators

Sony today launches the ZV-E10 II, the second generation of the top selling mirrorless ZV-E10 camera. The original ZV-E10 is a staple in Sony’s ZV content creation camera series, designed to provide an easy, compact, and versatile tool for content creators of any level. The new ZV-E10 II maintains all the features creators love about the original, such as Creative Looks, Product Showcase Setting, Background Defocus function and the vari-angle flip screen and builds on it to increase sophistication and ease of use.

The ZV-E10 II ’s internal hardware has been improved from its predecessor with an upgraded 26 megapixel (MP) (approx. effective) Exmor R™ CMOS sensor and adoption of Sony’s latest BIONZ XR™ image processing engine. A few additional updates to this model include improved autofocus and video capturing capabilities: Cinematic Vlog Setting, a new vertical format user interface (UI), an upgraded large-capacity battery Sony Z battery for improved stamina and improved connectivity for easy live streaming and data transfer. It is compact and lightweight, and fits into a creator’s hand with ease, weighing in at approximately 377 grams.

In addition, the E PZ 16-50MM F3.5-5.6 OSS II is announced, a compact APS-C power zoom lens which will be available separately or as part of the ZV-E10 II ’s lens kit. The upgraded kit lens is lightweight and offers improved autofocus (AF) and video performance compared to the first-generation model.

The ZV-E10 II features two key functions designed to produce premium-looking content straight from the camera, Creative Looks and Cinematic Vlog Setting. When shooting videos and still images, users can instantly enhance their images by selecting from ten Creative Look options: Standard (ST), Portrait (PT), Neutral (NT), Vivid (VV), Vivid 2 (VV2), Film (FL), Instant (IN), Soft Highkey (SH), Black & White (BW), and Sepia (SE). Each of these looks are further customisable and can be edited through eight different parameters, allowing creators to fine-tune their content. Designed with Environmentally Friendly Principles in Mind 

The ZV-E10 II camera body is made from recycled materials, including SORPLAS™ , reducing environmental impact without sacrificing functionality. The individual packaging is made from Sony’s unique recycled paper “Original Blended Material” that uses materials such as bamboo, sugar cane fiber, and recycled paper collected from the market. Over the past 11 years, Sony has replaced approximately 395 tons of virgin plastic with recycled plastic in digital cameras and digital video cameras.

The E PZ 16-50MM F3.5-5.6 OSS II is Sony’s 75th E-mount lens and an ideal kit lens solution for the new ZV-E10 II due to its compact size and versatile range (35 mm full-frame equivalent focal length: 24-75 mm). High resolution performance is achieved by four aspherical elements and one ED (Extra low Dispersion) element in an effective optical design. With a minimum focusing distance of 9.8 inch (0.25 m) (wide)/ 11.8 inch (0.30 m) (tele) and maximum magnification of 0.215x, the E PZ 16-50MM F3.5-5.6 OSS II offers versatile close-up performance to capture details. The E PZ 16-50MM F3.5-5.6 OSS II retracts to a total length of approximately 1.25 inches (31.3mm) when camera power is turned off. Due to its diminutive size and low weight of approximately 3.8 oz. (107 grams), it is a portable lens that can support day-to-day shooting.

Smooth, useful power zoom is ideal for movie shooting, and AF is available even while zooming. Built-in optical stabilisation works with in-body stabilisation including Active Mode, to minimise blur in movies. The E PZ 16-50MM F3.5-5.6 OSS II supports in-body breathing compensation to minimise shifts in angle of view while focusing for smooth, stable footage.
