Tech Review – Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro

The Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro are quite simply put the best earbuds on the market right now and some might say that is a bit of a stretch even from me having the biggest collection of earbuds reviewed here in Ireland but I know what I am talking about when it comes to earbuds.

There of course is more earbuds to drop later this year and we of course have others to review but for now these are getting their well deserved first place on my list at the time or writing this review. You can see an unboxing and first look of all of the latest tech from Samsung here if you missed it.

The design of the buds is nice and comes with a nice clear top case that looks well with a nice snappy closure which will keep them safe they have a great fit with the right tips and a small stem with a pointed edge and we also get a light strip which some might find a gimmick, I have seen similar on other earbuds before and headphones so it is not new per-say. To set up the lights can be a task and has to be done each time you take them out. They do make them stand out especially at night.

The touch sensitive controls will take time to get use to if you are not familiar with such if you are one to wear them in bed you will find it a problem but that is me I use earbuds in bed all the time and due to the triangular shape of the stem well you can see what will happen.

Having said that after that these earbuds sound fantastic and for me the best out there right now and once you get comfortable with the controls you will be fine and you can see how they work in the video review below.. These also come with voice commands which is super useful and a feature again I have tried before on some Skullcandy earbuds many times and I find it excellent and keeps your hands free which is a bonus.

The app as seen below only work with Samsung devices but offers a huge array of features and it has a great UI with plenty of customisation and this is what users want when they splash out on expensive earbuds which these are but worth every cent, again we go through this in the video review below..

The Audio, OK I have said it these are the best you can get right now super ANC and Ambient mode clear audio and also these put you right in the center of what you are listening too, for example if you are listening to a podcast you now it is a podcast it feels like you are there same for movies you can easily pick out say if you are sitting in coffee shop or store you think you are there same for vehicles passing by etc etc they are simply great here and you must try the spatial audio and play with the EQ to get the best effects here do not just stick them in your ears without the app full stop.

Galaxy AI is here for your all-new Galaxy Buds3, ready to help you discover the details in your favourite songs. Re-engineered with an angled design to bring sound closer to your ears, you can feel the beat with a new 11mm speaker for strong, dynamic sound. Hear the distinct timbre and clarity in each note with 24-bit CODEC, giving you the ultimate Hi-Fi sound experience. Fine-tune the details with Galaxy AI enhancements for ANC and real-time translation that give you an edge.

Overall for me forget the usual Benchmarks Apple fanboys tend to gauge everything with, I use Apple products but to this date I do still not own any of Apple’s earbuds, they have decent battery life too which will vary on your settings and of course can be used with two devices at once which I am a daily user of and switching between both is a breeze.. These are the best earbuds on the market today but only if you own a Samsung device however they are still great if you do not own one.

Tech Review – HIFIMAN TWS450 earbuds

The HIFIMAN TWS450 earbuds are the high performance audio brands entry level earbuds which come in a small case and the earbuds are small with no stem, they are clean and to the point like the case that will fit in any pocket which is a nice pebble shaped case with a matt finish.

With more of their higher end earbuds to check out these interested me due to the price they ask for here and one would think do they skimp on sound but in short the answer to that is no, perhaps may not satisfy the true audiophile these pack a serious punch for the price and with no companion app on board to help out with the acoustics either.

You do not need an app or a full suite of features to get great sound these days and having said that the company delivers on sound here which is hard to believe.

So with no app or EQ to play around with what can we expect? Well lets begin with the volume it is great and plenty aloud and the crisp clear audio to follow is fantastic at the price point at the time of this review which is about 40 euro depending on region.

Highs lows and mids bang on queue nice bass and treble and not tinny sound when turned up to the max these simple blow your ears off at the price you pay which is not often you can say that for earbuds at this price from a high performance brand such as HIFIMAN, Like Apple they have had expensive audio products for some time and now have taken on the lower priced product and market and have delivered a class product here which in fairness there is little to complain about..

The use of audiophile-grade dynamic drivers, combined with the unique tuning style of HlFlMAN, produces clear, three-dimensional sound that immerses the listener in a world of music, movies or games. Enjoy an unparalleled listening experience!

As the quote above suggests it is true after testing these for a few weeks, where they do drop on offerings that might be an issue for some is battery life but then you look at the size of these earbuds they are small compared to the average but

Controls

You will hear a little noise with each tap so you know you have tapped the earbuds

Touch the left/right earbud twice to pause the track/continue playing; Triple click the left earbud to rewind to the previous track; Triple click the right earbud to skip to the next track; Double click the left/right earbud to answer/end the call; Press and hold either earbud for 2 seconds to reject the call; Press and hold either earbud for 2 seconds to turn on the Voice Assistant.

As you can see all other standard features are at play here and for a small package with ENC deep noise cancelling and their AI they make a pretty compelling pair of earbuds to check out..

Tech Review – chargeasap Connect Pro Magnetic USB-C data cable

In a world of cables there is plenty to pick from and we have tested many our over the years some offer more than others and some less some look better than others and some don’t but is it looks that matter? In some cases that would be a yes but functionality is a key feature for me and good cable that will last unlike others do..

The latest cable now on offer from chargeasap is a pretty cool one offering more than one would expect from a cable, yeah I know reviewing cable and plugs are tedious to a degree because most people just plug it in connect device and that is the end of it there they do not stop and think what else is behind this cable.hmmm..

This cable is magnetic with a built in power reader and interchangeable tips which is handy and what this means in not fussing about plugging in a device although it has got better since USB-C has become more mainstream now however there is still plenty of tech out there with the older ports and will be around for some years to come yet.

chargeasap have thought of this and these also work with the best of charging plugs out there including GaN chargers which we are no stranger to.

There is several things to note with such a cable/product, you can easily swap out the device, so headphones earbuds, tablets laptops and more can be used and the safety feature here is great with the snap /on/off feature, now we all know we have all tripped over a cable at some stage and took the desk with us do not deny it. Now this is a thing of the past.

With a built in LED screen with built in amp reader you can also see that you are connected and with the support of up to 100W to charge an extensive array of devices, including USB-C laptops, phones, tablets, and more. Also take into account this keeps your ports covered and dust free which is another bonus and something for people think about.

Check out the video below for more.

Tech Review – JBL Live Beam 3 earbuds

The JBL Live Beam 3 earbuds are their latest on offer moving up from the JBL Tour Pro 2 with similar features and looks which unfortunately I never tested but from the getgo I was intrigued by being able to control your music from your earbuds case and how well it would work but these can offer more than one would expect after testing them out now for a few weeks. You can see a detailed first look here.

The presentation is as always excellent and identifiable easily in a store or online and the overall package pretty cool putting up as one of my favourite earbuds case this year so far and that is due to what can be done and how you can use the case and I am pretty sure others will follow in time which in fact some chinese manufacturers have done so with rampant ads on Facebook with a really cheap price so be warned, they most likely will be brutal and cheap knock offs some even using the JBL logo and trying to hide it, yes we seen you….

So the case is excellent and the earbuds are on the small side with small stems LED lights and magnetic points to stay put in your case with subtle branding on the outside of the stem, colour dependent this may stand out more but not in your face.

Of course you get the JBL app to set up the earbuds and you can use the case to do so too however once set up via the app I find you will no linger need to go near the earbuds you can even get message notifications on the earbuds case which is handy and this is also a neat way to keep you away from your phone giving you a little taste of some detox which is not a bad idea. The notifications are not rich however still it is a great idea.

email notification on the JBL Live Beam 3 earbuds case – techbuzzireland

Onto the sound as we go into detail on the case in the video review below and overall it is as you would expect from the brand with their custom sounds and app access you are in control not only from your phone but from the case, with their 10mm drivers highs lows and mids all fine nice bass and after going through my test look everything did really well you can customize the sound to your own needs which is vital on a pair of earbuds an no issues for me no lag latency or tinny sound when maxed out which is how I like listening to my music and movies etc.

Some might find the case as a gimmick however I found myself using it all the time and with some travel I have done I have brought them with me and will be doing so on upcoming tech trips very soon so watch out for some new cool tech coming soon here on the site and YouTube.

Battery life is also solid and you have an IP55 rating and with your ANC and really good ambient sound on tap these certainly should be on your radar and not overpriced either compared to the benchmark offerings from Apple.
