The HAYLOU X1 2023 are the latest earbuds on offer from the brand and are a clean simple o but familiar looking pair of earbuds with a gloss finish but with a nice metal case that is like a pebble and easy to fit into any pocket. Branding is kept to a minimum here with just the brand marking on the case which has an LED light around the charging port which is really nice looking and of course USB-C.
These earbuds have most of the features expected, Sound overall here is decent though, nice crisp and clear with an EQ to change things up you can also change the controls and we are down with some features like auto play and pause and voice assistant which is not really a huge gripe with me, however with the functions on the App you are limited to two controls per side however all the other features are present but you can of course set these up to what suits your needs best as everyone is different when it comes to situations like this.
The App
As you can see there is less of a feature set here compared to their latest headphones which are quite remarkable for their price and the same applies here when it comes to the sound given we have less to play with, volume is decently loud we have a latency mode, no lag latency in general noted and also decent highs lows and mids with a nice bass to them, the pop EQ is very bright but the bass and rock EQs are good and my personal choice here to my own taste.
Overall a decent pair of earbuds with responsive touch controls and in general work well, they are comfortable and discreet enough and look well and their charging case is pretty cool too.

The Soundpeats Air4 is one of many new earbuds on offer at affordable prices from the company and there is also the Air4 lite which we will have our next review on so both very similar sets or earbuds and look identical, today we are here to discuss the Air4 version which we have been testing some time now.
Presentation again is standard with the earbuds and familiar packaging keeping the brand identifiable as expected and overall a simple but to the point presentation with all the manuals and cables required in the box, you may notice an eartip compartment in the box but this is just due to standard packaging which is fine as these earbuds do not require tips to fit they are a standard fir with stems and the stems being on the smaller side which for me is better.
The case is finished in matt black looks well and is very clean with a fliptop lid a pairing /reset button and gold accents to match the earbuds which all ties in well with one another. The case is small and pebble like and will fit in any pocket and is not finished in gloss which is great so no fingerprints.
The style is quite nice and looks well and very simple but sleek and fit well in my ears though these being a fixed and finished product they might not suit some peoples ears but for me all good here. They are comfortable to wear for long periods of time and I had no issues with discomfort doing so during my testing.
On setting up you should dio the adaptive EQ test this is to get the best results for you and only you and is a common feature seen today on earbuds and headphones.
The App
The app as seen above is a familiar offering yet simple to use with an easy UI to navigate, all the features are here as expected bar reverse track, you can play and pause, higher and lower volume activate your voice assistant and call management you do have again a full suite of EQ settings which is great and with soundpeats you do hear a difference between them all unlike other apps with EQs built in, tried and tested on many of soundpeats earbuds this app is good. Again we have a gamers mode we have ANC here and triple mics with noise cancelling making for decent calls and less of the outside world.

The SOUNDPEATS Air4 Lite is a wireless earbud that offers high-resolution audio at an affordable price, the case is modern with a decent battery life and response time. The charging case is light and comfortable to hold. The supplied USB-C charging cable is a bonus ensuring only 1 cable would be required if travelling with an Android phone. The earphone’s frequency response range is reputable with the noise-cancelling mic a bonus.
On the practical side a niggle in terms of removing the earphones from the case and having to turn the earphones to fit into your ear, this motion while awkward can also result in the volume button being accidentally pressed. The case while reliable is made of a plastic with a matte finish with finger marks observed on the case after use.
Overall the SOUNDPEATS Air4 Lite is a great option without breaking the bank by getting high-resolution audio and, a sleek design, The audio quality in terms of listening to music and noise cancelling noise-cancellation during calls is respectable for the value of the product.

The latest from EDIFIER has dropped in to be tested out and it is the new Edifier TWS1 Pro 2 earbuds packed with features and app connection for small money and an update to the TSW1 earbuds which we tested back in 2021, you can see that review here.
We have the White version here and they do look super clean and has a glossy finish to them and look well out of the box and we look forward to seeing how much things have changed over the last two years, the cost to performance ratio has come down over the years yet Edifier still always maintained to deliver great audio products regardless at any price point.

The design and build is familiar however they settle well in the years and will not fall out and are comfortable to wear for several hours and for the gamers this will be great to coincide with the game mode option present so it will enhance the gaming experience which for me is little use but tried it out and works well.
The audio experience again here is great at the price point you have EQ settings to toggle with to get that perfect sound for you and also the earbuds are fully customizable with their control options again nodding up to 5 taps to set a control if wish to do so, for me 4 is more than enough but Tranya take it to another level if you require it. The audio is great, crisp and clear you have bass and sliders to adjust the tone, highs lows and mids are fine and overall a decent audio experience for the price as expected from Tranya.

They are also decently loud too, calls are clear no lag latency and no distortion when maxed out which are always good signs of a better tuned earbuds which have 12mm dynamic drivers hybrid ANC and 6 mics for calls which works well as mentioned and 6 mics is something not often seen at this price point and for the gamers you have 47ms latency.
Battery life is decent enough too with wireless charging which is always nice to see giving you 36 hours in total, 9 hours on a single charge and with 30 mins wireless charging you can gain 2 hours of play which is great if you are committed to wireless charging like I am for example. With ANC on however you can get around 30-40 mins less with max volume on your earbuds, the ANC works well and is up there with other high end brands but more affordable here. Another bonus here is multipoint connection so for me as usual the laptop and phone are always paired and it is a seamless transition.
Overall for the money here you get plenty of bang for your hard earned buck it has to be said, the case and earbuds might look on the cheap side but don’t judge a book by its cover as they say.
