Tech Review – Creative Aurvana Ace earbuds

The Creative Aurvana Ace earbuds are the latest on offer from a duo announced not so long ago and we have been putting them the test over the last while and have been eagerly awaiting to do so due to the new xMEMS drivers that come inside them.

The design and build are pretty standard and this also applies to the ACE 2 which has a smokey transparent finish, the case is an average size and same for the buds themselves which have small stems and sit in the ear perfectly giving a secure fit and some passive noise isolation so in short ideal for anyone.

The earbuds are touch controlled and have settings to adjust them to your needs which is good to see you have all the features required from a pair of earbuds here such as play and pause skip and reverse tracks and of course your voice assistant plus an EQ in their app which is simple to use and navigate which you can see in the video review below.

There is 3 mics each side and there is 10 mm drivers inside these which might seem small for some but average for earbuds but they have solid state xMEMS drivers which gives you better sound quality and aptX and for the money the sound is excellent here and decently loud too which is how I like it.

There is also a low latency mode for gamers here and overall with the sound you can here more instruments and distinguish between the highs lows and mids and other noises you might not pick up on other earbuds giving more clarity all round and an enjoyable listening experince overall with no lag latency noted either or tinny sound when maxed out as how I use my earbuds, calls also crisp and clear both ends during my testing.

The Creative Aurvana Ace series, powered by xMEMS drivers, has been expertly tuned to deliver remarkable audio clarity with a wider frequency response ranging from 5 Hz to 40 KHz. With this comprehensive range, users will get to enjoy a truly immersive and lifelike audio experience, whether it’s for music, movies, or conference calls

First look – Sony Linkbuds S

The Sony Linkbuds S have arrived and at first look I am liking what I see, the case has a matt black sandy kind of finish and so do the earbuds themselves which is something different like their Linkbuds be we reviewed earlier this year. Today is a quick first look and unboxing of the latest from Sony and if you have any further questions do ask while we test them out and come back with a full hands on review without the stock images.

The world’s smallest and lightest, noise cancelling, Hi-Res Truly wireless headphones

Sony have engineered these remarkably small and light truly wireless headphones, approximately 4.8 grams in weight, with comfort in mind. LinkBuds S combine a shape that perfectly matches the human ear with an ergonomic design for a more stable fit, so you can steer clear of annoying ear pain that gets in the way of you and your entertainment.

Keep all your worlds on with natural ambient sound

LinkBuds S provide you with the best of both worlds. These headphones combine LinkBuds innovative ambient sound concept that lets you interact with the world around you, with high-quality noise cancelling allowing you to focus on the content you love and nothing else. You can step into a coffee shop and quickly order with ease, then just as quickly sit back and enjoy your favourite entertainment distraction-free.

The headphones integrate Adaptive Sound Control, a smart feature that adjusts ambient sound settings depending on where you are, creating the ideal listening experience. With this, you can seamlessly move through your surroundings all while letting your favourite artists and entertainment play on.

A new sound experience for AR gaming

Sony is collaborating with its partner company Niantic in the area of audio AR by developing an AR game that can be enjoyed not only visually but also audibly. Overall

The connection via the USB C connection was seamless for an android phone and laptop. The volume with a Sensitivity of 108dB allowed for extremely high pitch audio with limited distortion, this is the cable for the low and higher specification of the responses of 20Hz-20kHz which is in line with higher-end product ranges. The bass is noted as commanding yet on the higher audio levels not distorted as may be expected from smaller earphones. As with all earphones, it is endorsed

sound levels between 60 and 85 decibels to minimise the damage to your ears while on the higher-level power 100 decibels, this should be reduced to 15 mins listening. The microphone on numerous phone calls and MS teams calls has given honest feedback, while does not filter out background noise as done with a more specialised kit, this can be observed when typing on a keyboard the taps can be heard at the other end. The carrying pouch while good to have offers little protection in terms of damages when in a pocket or laptop bag. The remote is effective in its use but takes a bit of practice to become familiar with the accept / reject calls click required.  Overall, an impressive audio experience from Wired earbuds with a Type-C connection without the requirement to pay for a high-end earphone.
