CWSI providing security for Bright’s growth journey

CWSI, Ireland’s most experienced mobile and cloud security specialist, today announces that it has successfully delivered a cybersecurity solution for leading payroll software company, Bright. Bright’s award-winning solution, BrightPay, is used to pay 3.5M employees every month and this number is continuing to grow.

Headquartered in Dunboyne, Co. Meath, BrightPay serves small to medium businesses, accountants, bureaus, and sole traders throughout Ireland and the UK. As the company grew, it identified a significant increase in the number of malicious activities on its endpoints and needed to ensure that its data was as secure as possible.

As more and more cyberattacks become automated, the most effective way to combat this is with automated cybersecurity. CWSI implemented SentinelOne’s Autonomous Endpoint Protection, which uses static and behavioural AI together with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) capabilities to protect its customers, while also saving them time.

The new cybersecurity solution was seamlessly rolled out across 200 devices. It has relieved stress and pressure on Bright’s internal IT team and given them peace of mind that they have a highly secure environment when dealing with sensitive information every day. Prior to partnering with CWSI, Bright had multiple issues with its cybersecurity software, including slow operating times, poor interface, and false positives blocking legitimate users, which was taking the IT team away from their day-to-day core operations.

CWSI engaged with Bright to identify its cybersecurity goals, listen to its unique requirements and find the best fit for Bright’s EDR objectives.

Alan Kelly, IT Manager, Bright Software Group, said“Cybersecurity is massively important to us. It is a fundamental part of our business to make sure that we’re secure, not only for our staff but for our customers as well. We were looking for a solution provider we could trust and CWSI felt like a perfect match right from the start.

“Our objectives and ambitions at Bright are to continue to grow and innovate. To do that we need the right partners and products, and we are confident that we have found both with CWSI.”

Aimee Hall, Customer Success Manager, CWSI, said: “Bright is such an exciting company, and BrightPay such a fantastic solution, and we are excited to be partnering with them to ensure the company can continue to scale at pace, unencumbered by fears around the safety and security of it and its customers’ data.

“Providing that peace of mind and removing those barriers is what we want to do for all of our customers, and to create a situation for them where they are free to achieve their goals.”

To position itself for further significant growth, it is looking for new hires across software development, cybersecurity, engineering, sales, operations, and product and project management. It currently has 20 roles available with immediate effect.

The company plans significant organic growth in its direct and indirect business across five key markets of the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, while also considering further expansion of its European footprint through acquisition.

It will extend its expertise and service offering with key strategic vendor partners such as Microsoft, placing a strong focus on recurring revenue and managed services. The company will also focus on growing its proprietary workplace software, which transforms the cumbersome and admin-heavy process of selecting, on-boarding, and managing a new device through powerful automation and easy self-service.

To support its ambitious growth plans, CWSI secured new funding of €21M in 2022 and made its first acquisitions in mainland Europe. The company acquired BLAUD, a mobility and security specialist based in Utrecht, Netherlands, and mobco, a modern workplace and mobility specialist which is expanding CWSI’s reach into Belgium and Luxembourg. Ronan Murphy, CEO, CWSI Group: “We’ve set ourselves a challenging but achievable target as we enter the next chapter of CWSI’s growth story, adding 50 highly-skilled people to the team and reaching one million end-users by 2025. CWSI redefines the retail experience for ŠKODA with managed mobility solution

CWSI, one of Europe’s most experienced mobile and cloud security specialists, is today announcing that it has redefined the retail experience for ŠKODA UK with a fully managed and highly secure Ivanti mobile solution delivered to its approximately 130 retailers in the UK.

ŠKODA is one of the world’s oldest car manufacturers, with its origins dating back to 1895. Since joining the Volkswagen Group in 1991, it has become one of the most successful automotive brands, having established a presence in more than 100 markets worldwide.

To support the growth of the brand and the ever-adapting automotive markets, ŠKODA UK wanted to increase customer satisfaction throughout the car purchasing process with the use of digital tools. It needed an integrated and mobile digital solution to present sales collateral such as brochures and informational materials to customers, as its processes were primarily paper based. The brand was also developing Digital Assistant, an iOS-based app used by sales teams to view and provide detailed information on every ŠKODA model.

CWSI won the contract and designed a Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) solution based on Ivanti Cloud technology. This has enabled the seamless rollout and management of nearly 1,000 iPad devices across ŠKODA’s 130 UK retailers. As well as providing a collaborative, centrally managed platform for these point-of-sale devices, the secure solution underpins the company’s revolutionary retail experience for customers – the Digital Assistant app. CWSI worked closely with the development team in the creation of the app and its insights were crucial and shaped how the app was developed.

Following the rollout, retailers can host virtual appointments via the iPads with customers who may not wish to visit the showroom, or give vehicle tours to customers from the comfort of their homes. Additionally, ŠKODA saw an uplift of +0.4 in the customer experience score when an iPad was used. It also saw a similar uplift in salesperson knowledge scores. CWSI’s deployment saves valuable time for employees by providing all necessary information at their fingertips. The mobile and adaptable nature of the managed iPad solution is also ideally placed to support remote or hybrid working.

CWSI manages the lifecycle of the fleet of iPads from procurement right through to decommissioning. CWSI has Ivanti Premier Partner status as well as one of the largest in-house teams of accredited Ivanti engineers and support analysts in the UK. CWSI also provides point of contact support and manages repair should a technical issue arise, ensuring business continuity.

Chris Batty, Digital Experience Manager, ŠKODA UK: ŠKODA is known for producing some of the best cars on the market and we needed a customer experience to match that. We required an all-encompassing solution and through leveraging modern technologies, we have built an industry-leading sales tool. Enabled by CWSI’s management solution, customer satisfaction scores have increased and sales teams are more empowered.

“Ultimately, the solution is helping to drive profitability for the brand and is now an integral part of the ŠKODA customer journey.”

Ronan Murphy, CEO, CWSI: “Having previously worked with CWSI, ŠKODA knew we could be trusted to deliver the next phase of its journey. CWSI provides a fully managed proactive service for the devices which requires no action on ŠKODA’s part, which is something retailers appreciate as they can focus on their core business.

“This leading mobility solution with best of breed security, compliance, device management controls and functionality has amplified the customer experience for ŠKODA. It has future proofed the company’s retail operation, underpinning the Digital Assistant app and truly allowing sales employees to be product experts. Our own product team is continually monitoring potential enhancements to Ivanti’s products and any other changes that may affect ŠKODA’s solution. The adaptable, scalable deployment was built with the future in mind.”

CWSI raises funding of €21M and acquires Dutch security specialist BLAUD

CWSI, Ireland’s most experienced mobile and cloud security specialist, today announces the acquisition of BLAUD, a mobility and security specialist based in Utrecht, Netherlands. To complete this acquisition and to support ambitious growth plans to become a leading pan-European cloud and mobile security provider, CWSI has secured new funding of €21M, which includes both debt finance and equity investment.

Equity investment has been secured from Castlegate Investments, a private equity and family office firm. A new debt facility from a major Irish bank has also been established.

BLAUD will become a wholly owned subsidiary within the CWSI Group. Its 20 employees, including CEO and co-founder Thierry Lammers, have joined the group.

Following the acquisition, which is CWSI’s first on mainland Europe, it forecasts that group revenues will grow to more than €20M in 2022. The European and UK markets are expected to contribute 75% of the overall revenues.

Servicing both the private and public sectors, BLAUD provides technical, consulting, support, and managed services to customers across Unified Endpoint Management (UEM), Mobile Threat Defence (MTD), and enterprise application/software development. BLAUD has more than 100 direct clients and also runs a successful channel partnership programme.  Clients include Smurfit Kappa, Amsterdam UMC, the Dutch Department of Waterways and Public Works, and law enforcement organisations.

CWSI is headquartered in Dublin and provides mobility and security solutions to enterprise and government customers both directly and through partnerships with global telecommunications providers including Telefonica, Telstra and Hutchison Whampoa (Three).

CWSI will extend the market for BLAUD’s application development services into the UK and Ireland. BLAUD’s customers will be able to access CWSI’s wide range of technical skills, resources and channel partnerships, including its dedicated Microsoft Security Practice, backed by its Microsoft Gold Security competency and membership of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA).

This latest deal for CWSI follows the acquisition and successful integration of UK-based cyber and cloud security services provider AVR in April 2021.

Roy Barrett, CEO of Castlegate Investments, said: “We are pleased to partner with Ronan and his proven management team to enable CWSI to execute on its strategy to build a leading, European cybersecurity business.”

Thierry Lammers, co-founder and CEO of BLAUD, said: “CWSI and BLAUD share the same DNA of enabling organisations and their employees to work productively and securely from anywhere, on any device. I look forward to working with CWSI to continue to find new ways to create value for our customers and solve their security challenges.”

Ronan Murphy, co-founder and CEO of CWSI, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Thierry and the team at BLAUD to the CWSI Group. There is a strong overlap in our solution areas, value propositions and company cultures and both organisations have strong representation in the Criminal Justice and Public Health sectors.  Bringing the two business together creates one of the largest and most experienced mobile security teams in Europe.

“This exciting new chapter of the CWSI story wouldn’t be possible without the support of our new equity investors and I look forward to repaying their confidence in us as we execute on our buy and build strategy to create a leading pan-European provider of cloud and mobile security solutions.”

New CWSI and Dubber partnership to provide compliant Unified Call Recording and Voice Intelligence to Irish organisations

CWSI, Ireland’s most experienced modern workplace security and compliance specialist, today announces a new partnership with Dubber, the global leaders for compliant Unified Call Recording and Voice AI solutions.

Dubber was built from the ground up to solve compliant communication gaps for regulated businesses, enabling them to switch on a feature-rich service directly from the network as part of their core telecommunications service. Dubber is the platform of choice for more than 150 service provider networks globally, including AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Telstra, and O2, as well as cloud calling and collaboration platforms like Zoom Phone and Meetings, Cisco Webex Calling and Microsoft Teams.

Dubber is one of the first recording platforms to be certified for compliance by Microsoft for integration directly into Microsoft Teams. Dubber also recently acquired Speik, the leading UK provider of mobile call recording and PCI payments solutions.

Dubber has been working with CWSI as a support partner in the UK since 2019 and chose CWSI as a master reseller in Ireland due to its expertise in supporting the solution within the UK and EMEA.

Headquartered in Dublin, CWSI provides modern security and compliance solutions to customers both directly and via channel partner relationships. CWSI will be offering Dubber via channel partners only, focusing on those partners with expertise in Microsoft Teams and a strong presence in regulated industries.

With Dubber’s unique reach and Unified Call Recording (UCR), specifically for compliance, Irish organisations will be able to capture recordings directly from the network immediately in one location from all their voice, video and text services. Conversations, once automatically captured, are securely stored in Dubber Cloud Storage and then processed in the Dubber Voice Intelligence Cloud – where AI creates real-time insights, alerts, and more.

Dubber is GDPR, MiFID II and PCI DSS-compliant, cloud-based, easily deployed and infinitely scalable. All calls are captured and enriched with Voice AI, which allows for line-by-line sentiment analysis that can improve customer experience and identify potential compliance or fraud risks in real time.

Dubber and its growing partner network have seen significant growth in demand for its solutions since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic as organisations look to capture customer conversations seamlessly and compliantly across remote/hybrid workforces and call centres.

Ronan Murphy, CEO of CWSI, said“Gartner predicts that by 2025, 75% of conversations at work will be recorded. Many of these conversations will take place over collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams. This new, significant partnership with Dubber will enable CWSI to build on the success that Dubber has achieved globally for its unified recording and voice AI technologies.

“All Irish organisations will be able to harness the revenue accelerating potential of collecting this valuable voice data and overcome the challenges posed by dispersed work environments. In particular, regulated enterprises will be able to securely capture, analyse and create alerts based on critical voice data.

“Potential partners will benefit from significant recurring revenue and margin uplifts and the ability to leverage Dubber’s APIs to provide value-added integrations into tools like Dynamics or Power BI.”

Simon Broadbent, VP of Sales at Dubber, said: “CWSI is an obvious partner for us in Ireland as they have deep industry knowledge and an unparalleled reputation for service delivery in the areas of enterprise mobility, compliance and security. Dubber is committed to providing resources and capabilities which support CWSI’s industry knowledge and relationships in order to deliver a world class unified call recording service, with an immediate focus on satisfying the rapidly expanding regulatory requirements for Microsoft Teams and Cisco Webex Teams users.”

Steve McGovern, CEO of Dubber, said: “CWSI’s extensive reach and sector knowledge support our continued growth as we look to meet the growing needs of Ireland’s business and government organisations. We are looking forward to collaborating with such an ambitious partner that has such a strong reputation and footprint in their markets.”

CWSI launches free mobile app to help Irish businesses return to work safely. #CWSI #Business

CWSI, Ireland’s most experienced enterprise mobility specialists, today announces the launch of a freely available mobile app for businesses, to help employees return-to-work safely according to Government protocols. The Safety Instructions app, which is available in multiple languages, including English and Irish, is free to download on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

CWSI developed the app in conjunction with its partner, Netherlands-based enterprise mobility experts BLAUD, with the aim of helping Irish and UK organisations manage the safe return of workers to sites and offices as the economy opens up in phases, following the temporary closure of most businesses due to COVID-19.

The app was built on the insight that a safe and continued return to work requires strong communication and a shared collaborative approach between employers and workers. The user-friendly app was designed to help organisations easily communicate and explain workplace controls to comply with infection prevention measures to all relevant workers, contractors and visitors to the site or office.

Through the app, employers can easily and dynamically distribute safety information and protocols including detailed instructions on social distancing, site floorplans, evacuation procedures and emergency contact details. Data related to Government guidelines on COVID-19 – such as advice on hand hygiene and instructions on what to do if a worker develops signs and symptoms of COVID-19 on-site – can be updated quickly and easily as the latest advice and instructions change.

Visitors to a workplace can access site-specific information via a unique QR code or via a map search feature. The app is available in multiple languages, including English, Irish, Flemish, French and Dutch.

Ronan Murphy, CEO, CWSI, said: “As the economy slowly begins the return to office and site-based working, health and safety protocols and procedures will be critical to ensuring a safe environment for employees and reducing risk for employers. At CWSI, we believe mobile technologies, such as the Safety Instructions application, can play a key role in helping organisations communicate safety measures clearly to staff to mitigate the chances of future outbreaks in the workplace.

Ronan Murphy, CEO and Co-Founder, CWSI

“Our freely available app is a great example of how technology can provide employees with immediate, up-to-date information, helping to remove uncertainty around the return to work and alleviate the administrative burden on over-stretched HR and health and safety resources. With the right measures and the tools to communicate these in place, the economy as a whole can return to normal both quicker and more safely.”

Get on Android     Get on IOS

The Safety Instructions app is available to download on the Google Play or Apple App Store or through the CWSI website (cwsisecurity.com/solution/mobile-workforce-solutions/safety-app)
