OneOdio Studio Max 1 Wireless Over-Ear DJ Headphones Review

The OneOdio Studio Max 1 Wireless Over-Ear DJ Headphones are a pair of ove-ear cans that impress from a listening experience via a mobile in my tests as I have no DJ equipment they have been tested on both Android and iOS and with not having a companion app which is dissapointing they still deliver on audio and its all good.

The build quality is great here and not too heavy eiather with plus cups that cover the ears nicely and block out much of the external noise with not having ANC listed on the specs, having said that if you are at home and turn these up to the max you will hear NOTHING!!

These also fold up and you get a nice carry bag inside along with all the extra cables and a dongle and they have ultra low latency which is 20ms with wired connectivity via 3.5mm/6.35mm jacks for instruments like guitars and keyboards and so on which again I do not own.

The OneOdio Studio Max 1 are equipped with 50mm drivers featuring OFC copper-clad coils, these headphones deliver deep bass and crystal-clear highs, lows and mids are fine and all genres tested in my usual test run these did not dissapoint even down to to hearing more intricate details than you would not expect to which was a win for me and when the volume is turned up to the max you will be impressed and I can only imagine how they would sound in a DJ set up and so on. Calls also sounded great during my testing and clear both ends again maxed out volume which is how I prefer to use my earbuds and headphones.

There is some controls on the right cup being your power on/off volume up and down skip and reverse tracks and play and pause, there is also the option to change modes, there is 4 in total and access to your voice assistant and the keys work really well. you also have your headphone socket and USB-C charge port.

Students Recycle 1.5 Million Batteries and save valuable materials from landfill

Students across Ireland saved the equivalent of 1.5 million AA batteries from landfill last school year – the weight of close to four school buses – with one small school collecting nearly 2,000 AA batteries per person.

Cloonfour National School in Roscommon, with just 40 pupils, proved that even the smallest schools can make a massive impact as they rallied their families and community to collect used batteries for recycling and win their category in the national WEEE Ireland Schools Battery Recycling Competition.

Other winning schools hailed from Galway, Carlow, Roscommon, Waterford and Donegal, with each awarded a €2,000 sports voucher for their efforts.

This year’s competition launches as the new EU Batteries Regulation come into full effect, bringing higher waste battery collection, recycling and recovery targets.

WEEE Ireland is calling on schools, families, and communities nationwide to get involved by gathering used batteries for recycling and help Ireland meet these ambitious goals – while supporting environmental protection and the programme’s charity partner LauraLynn Ireland’s Children’s Hospice.

The competition is open to all primary and secondary schools in WEEE Ireland’s battery recycling counties that collect at least 10 full 5kg battery boxes.

“The new EU Batteries Regulation raises the bar for all of us, and schools across Ireland are proving they are ready to meet that challenge,” said Elizabeth O’Reilly, Head of Environmental Compliance at WEEE Ireland.

“The incredible efforts of students, teachers, families and local communities will help ensure we meet the minimum recovery targets for materials like cobalt, copper, lead, lithium, and nickel. This ensures these materials are recaptured for use again in manufacturing, as part of a more sustainable and circular battery economy.

“Every year we see how collective action can achieve real results – and even the smallest schools, like Cloonfour National School, can make an outsized contribution.”
Expressing her gratitude, Kerry McLaverty, CEO of LauraLynn said:

“The funds we have received from WEEE Ireland as a result of battery recycling programme over the last 14 years of this partnership have had such a positive impact on the children and families who avail of LauraLynn’s specialised care and supports all across Ireland.”

“This year’s donation brings the total fundraising to an incredible €610,000.  LauraLynn would also like to say a huge thank you WEEE Ireland for the support across this campaign over the last number of years and to everyone who took the time to recycle their batteries.

Zens Magnetic Nightstand Charger Copper Limited Edition review

The Zens Magnetic Nightstand Charger Copper is the latest edition to their charger line-up which looks and feels better than the previous model but lacks in features however if aesthetics are your thing this charger is for you.

This comes with a White and Copper finish and looks really premium and will look well at any office desk or bedside locker in my opinion but looks this time around has removed something which is not a huge deal for me anyway this also depends on how many products you own as some may not have them.

This looks identical to the previous model but has the color change but it lacks a charger for your Apple watch or other compatible watches so this is something to keep in mind. But you can pick up one here that does and the Zens Nightcharger Pro 2 copper edition

Asides that it is still an excellent charge that can charge compatible devices and not just Apple devices and has the premium look no matter where it is placed.

For me looks wins given there is no watch charger and I have adopted wireless chargers along time ago and this one will sit nicely in my living room f0or all to see when they arrive and it pops out with its great looks.
