We have been testing out a new product called Comply Foam Tips ,which basically is a solution to those stock earbuds that nobody really likes.When i say this i speak from what i personally feel and others i know that are music fans and always like to have or try the latest in music accessories,such as overhead  headphones and in ear headphones.

On using these i found that they stay in your ear rather than fall out which is quite common with many people,this has always been an issue for me and my solution was to move to overheads which can be clunky and annoying hanging around your neck,Comply tips have finally given me a solution to this,out with the overheads and back with the in ears.

  

I can now enjoy my music and travel light,but i still use my overheads but at home only,i can now go for a jog,walk,cycle around without having the tenuous repeatedly annoying shuffling putting back in earphones situation with thanks to Comply tips and the memory foam technology.

Also they are comfortable,block external noise and no loss of sound,only improvement.They are secure,don’t loosen up and feel good in ear..

Its July the 1st and good news for Irish customers as regards to roaming charges and more,this will be a welcome move by all customers here in ireland across the board..

Still much has to be done to tighten up some means of advertising and how lightly the networks get off with certain things such as UNLIMITED DATA advertising and also network speeds advertised vs reality speeds,but its a step in the right direction but not fast enough.

MOBILE ROAMING PRICE REDUCTIONS- Effective NOW…

 

Making a call while roaming in the EU is 23 cent per minute.

• Receiving a call while roaming in the EU is 6 cent per minute.
• Sending a text message while roaming in the EU is 7 cent (It is free to
receive a text message in the EU).
• Data usage while roaming in the EU is 25 cent per MB of data.

 

Price reductions compared with prices in 2013
• The price per minute of making a call while roaming in the EU has been
reduced by 20.8%.
• The price per minute of receiving a call while roaming in the EU has been
reduced by 28.6%.
• The price for sending a text message while roaming in the EU has been
reduced by 25%.
• The price per MB of data usage while roaming in the EU has been reduced
by 55.6%.

 

Other safeguards and benefits of the EU Roaming Regulation
A consumer who data roams is automatically opted into a data cap of €61.50

Data Usage Alert !

Since 1 July 2012 consumers who travel outside the EU also receive the data
usage alert at €61.50 while travelling.

unless they have requested not to receive the usage alert. A consumer will be
advised when they reach 80% of the data usage cap and again at 100% of the
data usage cap. The consumer can then decide to continue to data roam or not.
The alert is provided to ensure that consumers do not incur unexpected high
data roaming charges while travelling.

 

Transparency SMS.

 

When a consumer travels in the EU they must receive an SMS from their mobile
operator advising the consumer of the costs of roaming in the EU, this includes
the cost of calls made and received, the cost of sending an SMS/MMS, the cost
per Megabyte (MB) of data, details in relation to how to find out more information
if required – (freephone number) and details on the European emergency
number 112.

A look at the #Nokia Treasure tag and Treasure tag mini. #Nokia

Hi today we are going to have a quick look at the new treasure tags from Nokia.Sadly things are limited to demonstrate the full potential of both tags due to the update requirements on devices.So we can have a look at the tags and whats inside them for now.

First up is the WS 2 the bigger of the two which was announced first.This works via NFC.

Next is the WS-10 the latest tag which is smaller and half the thickness.

Hopefully we will see both these in Ireland soon with a price tag of around 30-50 euros

We could only get the treasure tag mini to connect to our Lumia 630 via bluetooth as all our other devices are on 8.1 preview so its unfortunate not to see the tags in full action but we have the Lumia 630 connected for now and here is how they look and what to expect.

We have been showing these tags around the last few days and people seem to like them in general as regards to their design,they do look nice,you can also connect to android devices and iOS devices that support Bluetooth 4.0 you can get the apps from the respective stores.
