Stunning photography
The PowerDolphin is equipped with a unique dual-joint rotation 4K camera covering a staggering 215°. Shoot above the water level up to 80° and tilt down to shoot below water at -135°. Whether it is water sports (sailing, surfing, diving, canoeing, kayaking etc.) or the mysterious magnificent sea scenery users want to capture, they can see it all in glorious 4K. The 4K high-definition images and footage captured by the PowerDolphin can be sent in real-time wirelessly to a mobile phone through the Vision+ companion app, from a distance of 1000m.
Accompanying the dual-joint rotation camera, the front lights have four adjustable brightness levels, which rotate in balance with the camera, to shoot well-illuminated, stunning photos in different types of water.
Intelligent fishing
In addition to its powerful imaging capability, the PowerDolphin can help fisherman find the best fishing spots. With the assistance of the included PowerSeeker, an intelligent fish finder, the PowerDolphin can detect fish within a range of 131ft (40m).
The remote-controlled PowerDolphin can directly tow hooks and lure fish by dropping bait to a desired location at up to 1,000m. Whether standing on the shore or on a boat, the PowerDolphin can greatly extend the fishing rod’s reach and allows users to watch and record the entire prey bite process through the 4K camera.
Combining the PowerDolphin and PowerSeeker helps anglers to accurately determine the best fishing spot and timing. Once the prey successfully bites, PowerDolphin will drag it back to the controller’s side, providing a completely new fishing experience.
Search and rescue support
With three different speed gears, the PowerDolphin can swim up to 5m per second, delivering attached lifebuoys, lifejackets, towlines and other rescue equipment timely and accurately.
Acting as the First Responder to arrive at the incident scene, PowerDolphin can carry and release remotely the necessary equipment faster than lifeboats by eliminating manual preparation and hull activation; and swimming faster than lifeguards at 5m/sec largely beats the Olympic Men’s 100m freestyle record of 2.17m/sec.
State-of-the-art hardware for scientific research
PowerDolphin has up to two hours of battery life, and is equipped with an intelligent sonar device + GPS waypoint cruise function. It can also automatically scan designated waters and draw underwater topographic maps by mounting a smart fish finder with path planning function on the Vision+ App and providing scientists with highly accurate data in a visual form, adding great value to their marine research.
Additional PowerDolphin features are a water touch switch, mobile phone control, return home function, and support for battery and SD card replacement. In addition, both waterproof glass design and automatic anti-roll technology amongst many other attributes, greatly enhances the drone’s ease of use and stability.

When travelling find the right bags is important no matter what your needs are and if you are like me who travels and goes to tech events often you need the right bag for sure and something that can make life easy on access and also keeping the goods secure. The Targus 27 litre backpack might be one for you to check out and I have filled it with my items of choice which in fairness can change depending on the travel plans but most of what you see in this review is the norm for me.

Urbanista recently announced some new products and now they are starting to surface and the first up is the all new Sydney Bluetooth Speaker which is smaller than their previous speaker we reviewed some time ago.. This speaker is half the size almost and packs the same punch but only better and has nice bass to it too which is welcome.
With a choice of colours at hand too there is options and we opted for the Olive Green being Irish and all that and out of the box it looks well and this speaker has a fabric covering which is really nice and a break away from the typical metal finish many speakers have these days but it is noticeable that many manufacturers are now using fabric coverings which is good.
The speaker has got simple controls too which is nice and up top you have the power on/off button,bluetooth button and plus/minus volume keys. On the back there is the i/o with Micro USB ports and aux. On the underside there is rubber feet to keep it still and it does not move at max volume as you will see in the video review below.

Sound quality is great here and so is call quality you can also connect to the speaker with your phone if you like with 3.5m cable. This speaker is very portable and pocketable too and can be used anywhere from your own personal space such as your bedroom or be brought on a picnic or camping and sit back and enjoy the clear sound and especially the bass.

The fourth industrial revolution, ‘Industry 4.0’, will fundamentally alter the way we live and work, creating unparalleled opportunities for business growth. That’s according to Henrik von Scheel, the originator of the Industry 4.0 concept, who will make his first visit to Ireland next month to deliver the keynote speech at an event hosted by Innopharma.
The event – which is aimed at those working in pharma, biopharma or medtech – will take place at The Davenport Hotel, 8-10 Merrion Street Lower, Dublin 2 on Wednesday 4th December 2019, at 2.30pm.
Innopharma, Ireland’s leading education, research and technology institute for the pharmaceutical, medtech and food industries, will present the event, Pharma 4.0: What does Ireland’s high-tech manufacturing future look like?, in partnership with BioPharmaChem, a business association within Ibec which represents the biopharma and chemical sectors.
Attendees will have a unique opportunity to hear Mr. von Scheel and other industry leaders discuss Pharma 4.0 and gain exclusive and actionable insights from the originator of the fourth Industrial Revolution himself on what it is, what it means for biopharma and how to apply it.
Mr. von Scheel will be joined by Matt Moran, Director of BioPharmaChem, and Orla Callan, Director of Programme Development at Innopharma, to discuss how one of Ireland’s largest industries can prepare for the challenges and monopolise on the opportunities created by the fourth industrial revolution.
European Conference on Optical Communications (ECOC) Exhibition has confirmed the location of its 25th Anniversary exhibition, which will take place in Brussels, Belgium, the site of Europe’s largest optical connections event’s inaugural exhibition.
ECOC has already started taking bookings for the landmark event next year, with both Ciena and Corning confirming booth space following the 2019 ECOC Exhibition in Dublin, Ireland. The event welcomed 6,569 attendees and over 330 international exhibitors through the doors of the city’s RDS Venue.
The 24th annual event, which was hosted by Nexus Media Events Ltd. and held from 23-25 September, saw exhibitors including sponsors Axtetris, Flyin Optronics, IBM Canada, Intel, KOC Group, MACOM, Molex, and Sicoya showcase their latest products and solutions at the forefront of optical communication technology.
Attendees were also treated to live product announcements from companies including HUBER+SUHNER who announced its LISA Double Access solution, and Imec which announced the extension of its silicon photonics portfolio.

Again, we had a full room, with people standing outside of the room, and it was also good to see that we could further expand the scope of the event here. We really started with being focused on the telco market but we are now expanding into alternative markets – there is talk about using fibre as sensors for monitoring road conditions and using lasers in cars. It’s a lot of cool stuff and it’s good to see the success.”
Crowds at the Market Focus sessions spilled out of the pavilion to see presentations including Mark Nowell, Cisco Fellow on 400 GbE, Kees de Waard, FTTH Council President on its Market Panorama, Lisa Huff, Principal Analyst, Optical Components at Ovum on data centre networks and Thomas Liljeberg, General Manager, Integration for Intel Silicon Photonics Products Division on integrated silicon photonics for data centre applications.
