#Miyo “Mind Yourself” App Coming on the 1st May by @SpunOut #Irish #Apps #JTB

Keep track of the important things

MiYo, short for “Mind Yourself”, allows you to track your wellbeing in a number of different areas to help you kick-start a healthy routine.

Available to pre-order for iOS and Android devices, MiYo will be available to download from May 1st 2014.

Unlock rewards and great content

The MiYo app is a self-reflective journal where you can log the things you have done each day which are crucial to our physical and mental well-being.

Users log their activity across the following categories: healthy eating, sleep quality, physical activity, talking to friends & family, learning, and socialising/hobbies.

When you log the completion of an activity, you earn points which help you to reach your goals. Maintaining a routine in each of the six activities also earns you badges.

If you’re having difficulty reaching a particular goal, the app will suggest content on SpunOut.ie to get you on track to a happy healthy lifestyle routine.

About MiYo

MiYo began at a hackathon held in Facebook’s EMEA HQ in Dublin back in October. Over 40 young developers came together to come up with an idea for making an app which our readers could use to be proactive about their mental health.

The funding secured by NOSP allowed us to spend the last five months building the app with the developers. We’re incredibly grateful to Facebook and the National Office for Suicide Prevention for their support in making this idea a reality.

Pre-order now for free

Miyo is coming soon to the Apple iOS store and the Google Play store you can sign up HERE

This is a great idea and well done to all involved..

You can also read an article in the journal.ie which tells the story about the animated series “Ditch the monkey” that coincides with the app too..

  • Wire-free efficiency

Be wire-free with Bluetooth and NFC. And combined with a long-lasting, rechargeable battery, keep the music pumping all night long on a single charge.

  • Boosted battery life

With the long-lasting rechargeable battery, spend more time enjoying and less time charging.

Small speakers, portable or not, often miss the clout, especially in the bass department.

That’s about to change with the Nokia Bluetooth Minispeaker. With a built-in vibrating actuator located on the base, low frequencies (read: heavy bass) are created when placed on most surfaces, especially hard ones, delivering a surprising amount of bass for such a compact speaker- in fact, it’s rather fun experimenting with different surfaces.

This pocket-sized powerhouse can fill a room with sound and, when its rechargeable battery is fully juiced, offers 15 hours of playback, enough for your regular party. Well, the parties we go to, anyway.

While the speaker is obviously a travelling music-fan’s dream, it also doubles up as the perfect speakerphone so you can work on the go.

Pairing your phone with the mini speaker is simple; just tap your NFC-enabled device on the speaker to instantly pair. Alternatively, connect via Bluetooth. With the new Nokia Device Hub app, you can easily manage your speaker and other connected accessories easier than ever, and fun. It provides app recommendations for your accessories and even lets you see where you used them last time, in case you misplaced it.

If your phone lacks either wireless technology, don’t sweat, just use the audio-out connector and lead that comes in the box.

Costing just €39, and continuing Nokia’s bright new colour language for 2014, the Nokia Bluetooth Minispeaker comes in the same distinctive colours of yellow, green, orange and white.

    BIG BASS EXPERIENCE

Don’t let its small size deceive you. This little guy packs a load of power. Engineered with the latest technology, the MD-12 is designed with an actuator built in, creating a big bass effect when set on nearly any surface.
