Next in for review is the budget smartphone from NUU. This device looks and feels good off the bat and will set you back around €160 which is not bad at all if you are looking for a good smartphone at a good price. At first look the device is solid though with a plastic back cover overall it looks more like a mid-tier to high end device, check out the images and video below and if you have any questions fire away… We will have a full review in the coming week..
This phone will cost you around €180 which is not bad for what you get. However its not for power users. Any average user will get a day out of it but for me it never happened. It sports a 2,250 mAh battery which is quite on the low side compared to whats considered the norm for a 5 inch phone which is around 3000 mAh.
Overall this phone is for someone looking to upgrade from the sub 100 euro bracket and move up a bit but you get a device that is built well all round apart from the plastic back cover which is not a deal breaker but it is slippy so keep that in mind..
The device is for basics and daily tasks like browsing, social media and emails and the camera is not bad either but I suggest to leave it in HDR mode for point and shoot with no hassle. The colours though where a bit on the saturated side but you can use other apps to add enhancements. Having said that for someone that is not photo mad and has nothing to do but post selfies all day or take a photo at each mealtime it will do the job with decent results all round keeping in mind to leave the HDR mode on all the time..
Fancy a quick bargain well here is one you should pick up which normally retails at €39. Google Chromecast Audio is now just €14.99 at Currys/PCWorld this is great value..

World leading dash cam company THINKWARE is pleased to announce its participation for the second year running, at the renowned Automotive Aftermarket Industry and Tuning Trade Fair [AAITF] in Shenzhen, China. The show takes place from 15th – 17th February and with 3,500 automotive companies from around the world exhibiting, it is known as Asia’s No 1 automotive aftermarket trade fair.
THINKWARE will be showcasing its revolutionary connected dash cam, the F800 Air, which received the “2017 Innovation Award” in the car audio/video category from the world-renowned Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Visitors will also be able to test THINKWARE’s new IOT [Internet of Things] technology called ‘THINKWARE CLOUD’ and its extensive night time video recording technology ‘Super Night Vision 2.0.’ Also on show, the HX700 dash cam features a 3.5 full touch LCD, 2 channel Super Clear HD and Time Lapse Photography and can be viewed alongside the QX800 dash cam. Both dash cams will be available in the Chinese and Asian markets.
The Korean company entered the Chinese market last year, with its first branch opening in October servicing its B2B customers and its first ‘Global Premium Store’ opening in Shenzhen where consumers are able to install the THINKWARE dash cams on site. This enables the company to extend its B2C offering and further extend its presence in the Chinese market amongst consumers and the automotive industry alike.
THINKWARE stated: “As many of Asia’s automotive industry experts attend AAITF to gain new insights into developments within the industry, THINKWARE believe this trade fair is a great opportunity for THINKWARE to expand awareness of its brand and product technology. Through this trade fair, THINKWARE will showcase its product as well as promoting its brand within the Chinese automotive industry.”
This is the 3rd case from poetic cases for the Google Pixel. This being the more bulky of the lot ads quite a bit more protection coming in two pieces which the top layer will cover the screen which means you need no additional screen protector. Again all keys and ports are accessible and the USB-C port has a cover on it too which will stop dirt getting in as its a more open space than the older Micro USB ports.
The keys worked perfectly fine and so too did the on screen navigation with as often people ask how these kind of cases will effect on the sensitivity of the screen. As seen in video below there is no issue at all and all worked as normal. One thing I found was the back was a tad on the slippy side in the central piece, other than that it is certainly one tough case and will keep that overpriced Google Pixel protected.
Dual-layered construction for reinforced protection
Hybrid TPU skin and polycarbonate frame for maximum shock-absorbency
Embedded water-resistent screen protector cover buffers against scratches
Sealed tactile buttons and port covers to limit dust accumulation
This is the first of three cases from poetic cases for the google pixel smartphone..
We will be now reviewing cases on our youtube channel where we can explain things a bit more,Also we will have image galleries too for you to check out and we will leave a case description below and purchase link if any of the cases take your interest..
The case is transparent so for those whom like too see their device will like this particular case. Protection all round is no issue with corners toughened with raised bumpers and all other aspects of the case giving protection where required around the camera and fingerprint sensor. The keys work perfectly fine and all ports fully accessible with ease..There is a lip around the front of the case which will enable users to lay the device face down the device can be placed back down too with no issues to worry about. The case is a bit of a fingerprint magnet and scrathes will show due to the colour but better your case marked rather than the device itself. See video for more.
