Tech Review – Hyper 100W HyperJuice USB-C GaN Travel Charger

The Hyper 100W HyperJuice USB-C GaN Travel Charger is a must have for those on the move and not only that even at home it will do just the same.

Build quality out of the box looks solid and it is a solid device in hand with a speaker, tv box shape to it and look well with a white gloss finish, there is several adaptors inside the package so for those who travel you are pretty much covered wherever you go which is excellent and it will all fit into a tech or travel bag easily.

There is 4 ports up front to pick from you do not need to use them all however today people have more than one device and can use them all for and that is a certainty for me be it at home or on the go, this can be also transformed into a desktop charger too.

You can charge laptops too which is good and any USB/USB-C compatible device and of course decent cables, people are under the illusion all cables are the same when they are not but now with USB-C more mainstream things are getting better here but beware of cheap ones on sale.

The top two ports offer 100w charge the third one 27w and lastly the USB A port gives max 18w and has smart distribution technology inside to even out the output.

Interchangeable travel adapters for over 150 countries (US, EU, UK and ANZ) are included, eliminating the need to carry additional converters. Our adapters securely lock into place, providing a more secure solution than adapters that slide over the US plugs.

Having tested this with many devices and many the latest devices to the market and some older ones this had no issue with giving me power on all four ports and none cutting out as often is the case with some chargers offering similar ports, it did not get hot either which is notable.

Overall this is an ideal piece of kit to have at your disposal and for those going on trips or holidays the great thing is less plugs which are annoying and everyone thee days has spare cables at home and of course easy to find no matter where you go, just avoid cheap brands and cheap cables..

SD Worx invests €3M to expand payroll services to SMEs in Ireland

SD Worx Ireland, the leading payroll and HR solutions provider, has announced that it is investing €3 million to expand its payroll offering and roll the service out to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Ireland. Historically servicing medium and large enterprises of over 250 employees, SD Worx’s innovative payroll solution is now available to SMEs across all industries.

The investment will span five years across technology, services, and people within SD Worx Ireland. During this timeframe, the company forecasts that 20% of its business will stem from SMEs and expects revenue growth from the SME sector of 60% per year.

Driving the demand for the service among SMEs in Ireland are new reporting regulations, such as gender pay gap reporting. This requires increased payroll visibility and accuracy and applies to SMEs with over 150 employees for the first time this year, and those with more than 50 employees in 2025. Meanwhile, legislation relating to statutory sick pay and upcoming auto-enrolment for pensions brings additional administration, meaning smaller businesses may not have the necessary internal resources to keep pace with the rate of change.

In addition to these challenges, according to SD Worx’s Payroll Proficiency in Ireland report, the movement of personnel within organisations, such as joiners or leavers, is making payroll handling more difficult for a quarter (25%) of businesses in Ireland. Meanwhile, the administration of employee presence and absence (cited by 56%) was ranked as the process that complicates payroll the most. Data collection and access to, or integration of, data sources was also signalled as a challenge by 51% of organisations.

SD Worx’s €3M investment will ensure that all organisations, no matter their size, have access to the same resources as larger enterprises in overcoming these challenges. The company’s investment covers the establishment of a dedicated team to support SMEs in Ireland, customisation of operational design, and technology upgrades. With these enhanced capabilities, within the next 12 months, the company expects to grow its customer base by up to 50 SMEs in sectors such as retail, hospitality, and construction, as well as customers in financial and professional services.

The establishment of its SME service comes at a time when SD Worx is on an aggressive growth path in Ireland and will support its strategy in this area. In February, SD Worx announced that it will create 40 new jobs in Ireland in the next two years, growing its team to 115 as part of a €2.9M investment in its workforce. Ireland’s fastest-growing payroll technology company, SD Worx has been operating in Ireland for nearly 30 years, previously as Intelligo until it was acquired by SD Worx in 2022. Its enterprise-grade payroll solution pays one in five employees in Ireland’s corporate sector.

Eimear Byrne, Country Lead, SD Worx Ireland, said: “We have scaled up our own capabilities so that businesses who may lack the necessary internal resources can keep pace with evolving payroll trends and requirements. SD Worx aims to empower SMEs to focus on their core business activities while leaving the complexities of payroll management to trusted professionals. Our new offering means that amid intense competition for top talent, increasing regulations and rising costs, SMEs can continue to grow and thrive with on-hand payroll support and cost certainty.

SMEs can often be stretched in terms of resources and this enhanced service will provide peace of mind for those who seek the reliability we offer by never missing a pay date or Revenue submission. The service will also guarantee that SMEs are compliant with regulations and effectively safeguarding confidential company and employee data. We are looking forward to working closely with organisations in the SME space to drive value and underpin their continued success.”

SD Worx’s flexible and scalable managed payroll service relieves pressure on businesses, reduces administrative burdens, and frees up resources that can be refocused elsewhere in the organisation. SD Worx’s outsourced payroll solution is updated in line with the latest legislation, ensuring customers remain compliant. SD Worx also has a dedicated expert team in place to support growing organisations.

SD Worx’s managed payroll offering is built on highly secure MegaPay software and protects customers’ sensitive information, with all data securely hosted in Ireland. In addition, a fixed monthly cost provides price transparency for businesses.

Fenergo and Deloitte join forces to deliver greater efficiency through client lifecycle management automation

Fenergo, the leading provider of digital solutions for Know Your Customer (KYC), Transaction Monitoring (TM) and Client Lifecycle Management (CLM), and Deloitte Ireland, have announced an agreement to deliver Fenergo’s AI-powered CLM solutions to financial institutions across EMEA.

The alliance combines Fenergo’s best-in-class technology with Deloitte’s technology-enabled business transformation expertise to create a Centre of Excellence for CLM

The alliance responds to increasing demand for optimised digital client onboarding and the need to drive efficiency across KYC and AML operations. Fenergo’s research has found that slow and inefficient onboarding processes have caused nearly half (48%) of global financial institutions to lose clients. To address this challenge, Fenergo and Deloitte Ireland will deploy AI-powered Software as a Service (SaaS) CLM, which will digitalise client onboarding and lifecycle management journeys, and in turn accelerate the time it takes to generate revenue while enabling firms to better identify and mitigate risk.

“We’re excited to collaborate with Deloitte Ireland to deliver our AI-powered CLM solutions to financial institutions and corporates across EMEA,” said Matt Edwards, Global VP of Partnerships and Alliances, Fenergo. “With the unrelenting evolution of global regulation and the need for firms to simultaneously drive growth, the demand for our CLM solutions has risen exponentially and expanded beyond financial services. With the addition of AI, the transformative power of CLM is even more accessible and rapid. Our alliance agreement with Deloitte will enable us to accelerate implementation while helping firms build a more sustainable and compliant future, while delivering a step change in customer experience.”

“Transforming organisations by using AI is something we’re committed to in Deloitte. Our collaboration with Fenergo and the launch of our Centre of Excellence illustrates our focus on providing innovative technology solutions to our clients that drive competitiveness and efficiency,” said Graham Healy, Consulting Partner, Deloitte Ireland. “We believe our mutual clients will also benefit from our broader expertise across financial advisory, business change and target operating model services.”

Financial institutions will also benefit from Fenergo’s unrivalled Perpetual KYC capabilities which streamline and automate periodic KYC review cycles by continuously monitoring client profiles for risk using real-time data. Firms can also leverage Fenergo to more effectively manage ESG requirements in response to growing demand for sustainable and socially responsible investing.

Tech Review – iClever BTH20 kids wireless headphones with ANC

The iClever BTH20 kids wireless headphones are one of their new offerings for kids headphones which ads nicely to their line-up of products to keep your kids ears safe rather than handing them your phone or tablet and letting them listen away at higher volumes than they should.

These are very light and comfortable to wear too and even for me and I would wear them no problem, they can be worn for long periods of time and do not sweat the ears you can of course extend the arms each size for a comfortable fit.

The controls are simple to use and there is plenty here, you can play/pause skip/reverse tracks control the volume and take calls if they arrive, there is also an ANC control button on the cup to which is handy and works well.

The sound is good considering these are for kids and no issues there from me with good highs lows and mids and some bass, being a kids pair of headphones they sound good it has to be said with no tinny sound noted on any genre tested or at max volume.

Overall these are ideal for kids keeping their ears in check which I must take note of myself as I like to go full blast on all my headphones and earbuds and perhaps these might teach me a lesson to save the ears in the long run, these are comfortable look well and robust and perfect to keep your kids entertained when on a tablet or phone etc.

  • [Excellent Noise Reduction Performance]:These Kids Bluetooth Headphones feature two noise reduction modes with a maximum depth of 40dB (active + passive). The low noise reduction mode offers a gentler ear pressure for kids sensitive to ear pressure, while the high one blocks out most engines and other mechanical noises for an immersive auditory experience.
  • [Strong Durability]:These Kids Noise Cancelling Headphones are crafted from enhanced materials that are free of BPA and PVC, offers over twice the wear resistance, impact resistance, and lifespan of traditional materials and defies drops and bends. Plus, the new reinforced internal structure makes the button last longer and eliminates the issue of sound loss on one side.
  • [Comfortable to Wear]:Coming with a pressure-reducing, skin-like texture, these Noise Cancelling Headphones for Kids ensure comfy wear during airplane travel or road trip. Honored with FDA awards, the 90° rotatable earmuffs and 10-level adjustable headband give a perfect fit for kids aged 3 and up while large buttons make operation easy for kids.
  • [Safer Listening]:Employing the iClever Sound Refiner & 80dBA volume limit technology, these Noise Cancelling Headphones for Kids effectively reduce the volume in the most vulnerable hearing frequency range (2-4KHz) while delivers clearer and more balanced sound quality.
  • [Long-Lasting Battery Life]:These Bluetooth 5.4 Kids Bluetooth Headphones offer a more stable connection and less power consumption, providing non-stop fun (60 hours with ANC off; 35 hours with ANC on). Better yet, a quick 10-minute Type C fast charge provides 5 hours of use and the included 3.5mm audio cable means no more battery anxiety.

Dyson’s new Wash G1 floor mop- available to buy from August 20th

Dyson unveils its latest floorcare technology, designed to pick-up wet and dry debris in one go to deliver a hygienic clean on hard floors, across large spaces. With a 1 litre clean-water tank to cover flooring up to 290m2, the Dyson WashG1 uses a combination of hydration, absorption, and extraction technologies to remove wet and dry debris in one go – automatically separating it out, so maintenance is more hygienic.

Charlie Park, Vice President of Dyson Home Engineering at Dyson says;

“Wet cleaning is considered a necessary chore globally and the perceived burden has been the target of a vast array of wet floor cleaning formats. Despite this, users’ expectations are often left unfulfilled when it comes to stain removal, pick-up performance, and floor finish. Dyson engineers solve the problems others ignore and we thrive on the challenge of creating better technology. The Dyson WashG1 is the result of this; our first dedicated wet machine to wash hard floors, properly and hygienically.”

“Most of us vacuum our homes regularly. But whilst wet cleaning is considered a necessary chore globally, many of us don’t know why we do it beyond the vague notion of hygiene. In fact, cleaning with water is essential to rehydrate and remove tough, dried-on stains. Over the years, a vast array of wet floor cleaning formats have emerged to help us tackle this chore yet users’ expectations are often left unfulfilled when it comes to stain removal, pick-up performance and floor finish. Dyson engineers solve the problems others ignore and we thrive on the challenge of creating better technology. The Dyson WashG1 is the result of this; our first dedicated wet machine to wash hard floors, properly and hygienically.”

Highly absorbent, counter-rotating rollers

Two individually powered rollers counter-rotate whilst a pulse-modulated pump distributes water evenly across 26 precisely positioned hydration points, along the full width of each roller.

Each roller is made up of a highly absorbent microfibre, with 64,800 filaments per cm2. This combination of high density microfibre and consistent application of clean water ensures liquid spills are absorbed, whilst dry dirt, debris, and hair is enveloped by the millions of filaments. By positioning two rollers at the front and back of the machine, Dyson engineers also achieved longer dwell time on stains with each pass, for powerful and fast stain removal.

Pioneering separation technology for hygienic maintenance

Dyson’s unique separation technology divides debris and dirty water at source, for hygienic, no-touch disposal. Dirty water is extracted from the rollers by durable extraction plates, whilst secondary nylon-bristled inner brush bars remove dirt and debris from the microfibre rollers, flicking it straight into a removable debris tray.

The debris tray has been designed with a 500-micron mesh to separate dirty water from the large debris. Powered by an extraction pump, dirty water is immediately collected in a 0.8 litre capacity dirty water tank, without allowing large debris to pass through the machine. Keeping the dirt and debris in the head of the machine, and the dirty water in a separate tank allows for easy and hygienic disposal. To further support ease-of-maintenance for users, the Dyson WashG1 has been intricately designed without sharp internal surfaces or crevices, to help lessen dirt or grime build up inside the machine. Both water tanks have been designed with large openings to allow for easy maintenance and cleaning.

After use, the self-cleaning mode saturates both rollers with clean water on the highest boost setting, flushing the entire system in preparation for the next clean.

Customised hydration control for an optimum floor finish

The Dyson WashG1 has been designed with in-use hydration control, allowing owners to select the level of hydration required based on debris type, flooring, or personal preference. The low, medium, and high modes each run continuously once selected, to provide increased levels of hydration respectively. Each mode also features an additional three sensitivity settings, to allow owners to fine tune them to their individual cleaning needs. A separate boost mode button purges each roller with the maximum amount of hydration when pressed, for removal of stubborn dirt and dried on stains.

“Stain removal performance is dependent on the correlation of hydration of the floor and agitation applied. We’ve engineered our machine to allow owners full control, enabling them to deep clean their homes effectively.” – Charlie Park, VP of Dyson Home Engineering at Dyson.

Manoeuvrability and edge-to-edge cleaning

The rollers span the full width of the cleaner head to allow for edge-to-edge cleaning, right to the corners. The Dyson WashG1 has been designed with two motors that sit within each microfibre roller, spinning in opposite directions so they clean in both directions.

For optimised manoeuvrability, Dyson engineers fine-tuned each motor to spin at a consistent speed in accordance with the hydration mode selected, allowing the machine to glide effortlessly whilst cleaning is in process. Adopting technology from the Dyson Omni-glide, casters provide additional balance and weight support, whilst the low cleaner head height allows for easy reach underneath furniture.

Tech Review – chargeasap Connect Pro Magnetic USB-C data cable

In a world of cables there is plenty to pick from and we have tested many our over the years some offer more than others and some less some look better than others and some don’t but is it looks that matter? In some cases that would be a yes but functionality is a key feature for me and good cable that will last unlike others do..

The latest cable now on offer from chargeasap is a pretty cool one offering more than one would expect from a cable, yeah I know reviewing cable and plugs are tedious to a degree because most people just plug it in connect device and that is the end of it there they do not stop and think what else is behind this cable.hmmm..

This cable is magnetic with a built in power reader and interchangeable tips which is handy and what this means in not fussing about plugging in a device although it has got better since USB-C has become more mainstream now however there is still plenty of tech out there with the older ports and will be around for some years to come yet.

chargeasap have thought of this and these also work with the best of charging plugs out there including GaN chargers which we are no stranger to.

There is several things to note with such a cable/product, you can easily swap out the device, so headphones earbuds, tablets laptops and more can be used and the safety feature here is great with the snap /on/off feature, now we all know we have all tripped over a cable at some stage and took the desk with us do not deny it. Now this is a thing of the past.

With a built in LED screen with built in amp reader you can also see that you are connected and with the support of up to 100W to charge an extensive array of devices, including USB-C laptops, phones, tablets, and more. Also take into account this keeps your ports covered and dust free which is another bonus and something for people think about.

Check out the video below for more.
