Almost 1,000 new applications are published on Apple App Store daily

The Apple App Store is among the most sought after mobile application marketplaces for developers globally. Consequently, the platform is recording a significant number of new app publications.

According to data presented by Burga, as of September 5, 2021, the average number of apps published on the Apple App Store per day is 988. The figure translates to 41 apps per hour, 6,916 per week and 29,640 per month. The estimates further indicate that developers are publishing around 355,680 apps on the App Store per year.

In terms of categories of all apps on the App Store, games account for the top spot with 247,589 applications, followed by business at 183,658. Education occupies the third spot at 179,070. Entertainment apps are in the tenth spot with a count of 76,593. Data on the number of apps on the App Store is provided by mobile app intelligence platform 42matters.

Factors driving App Store new app publications

The average number of apps published on the App Store reflects the platform’s position as a vibrant marketplace for mobile applications. The app publication is significantly inspired by several factors that are driving the consumer demand for the applications that aim to compliment other device accessories like phone cases. The ability to reach a global audience on the App Store has helped developers and publishers utilize the platform to share their products.

In general, the App Store position in the app ecosystem potentially stems from the platform’s dynamic options for consumers amid a growing community of developers. Notably, Apple, to some extent, has supported the developers with educational and app-building resources.

Worth noting is that the publication of apps data comes in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic that shifted focus to smartphones and consequently high demand for apps.

Amid the pandemic, changing consumer behaviour compelled developers to come up with the necessary apps to help people navigate the crisis. For instance, apps in delivery, education, games and entertainment recorded significant interest as they helped people maneuver the health crisis. At the same time, the publication correlates with the growing penetration of smartphones.

Furthermore, the number of published apps remains significant despite Apple’s introduction of new regulations to improve standards and quality. For instance, the platform has recently removed old apps that are no longer compatible with new versions of the iOS, apps that copy other apps, and those that provide tools that aren’t needed on the iPhone, like antivirus. With this regulation, the number of newly published apps might slow down, but the quality improves.

Interestingly, the App store publications come despite Apple engaging in tussles with developers over the controversial 30% commission fee. The fee had threatened the status of the App Store before Apple moved in to salvage the situation. The company recently introduced the App Store Small Business Program. Under the new plan, the commission has been lowered to 15% for developers grossing less than $1 million a year.

Why games is the leading App Store category

Additionally, the game consists of the top category in the Apple App Store correlating with the thriving mobile gaming sector. The growth has prompted developers to invest more resources into creating new games and mobile versions of well-known stationary games.

At the same time, the growth of in-game applications emerged following the pandemic, with developers capitalizing on the stay at home orders to give consumers an alternative form of entertainment.

Further, games also hold the pole position partly due to the growth of casual games. In recent years, gaming developers have been targeting casual gamers. Notably, a big section of casual gamers is reluctant to spend money on games since they don’t intend to play them in the future.

Geotab, global leader in fleet management, launches in Ireland

Geotab, the world’s largest fleet telematics provider, has today launched a suite of cutting-edge telematics offerings now available for organisations of all sizes across Ireland. The global leader in software solutions for businesses managing multiple vehicles is entering the Irish market at a pivotal moment, with demand for telematics in Ireland to grow more than 50% by 2025, driven by factors including the transition to electric vehicles and the lasting impact of Brexit on the logistics and transport sector.

The announcement coincides with the launch of Geotab’s cold chain solution, which enables accurate and continuous temperature monitoring for trucks and vans transporting refrigerated products and goods. The solution appeals to Irish food and drinks companies, as well as to the country’s strong pharmaceutical industry, offering full visibility and near real-time insights into temperature conditions.

Amongst its suite of services available to businesses across Ireland from today is the Geotab Small Business Programme. The initiative caters to businesses with less than five vehicles, allowing them access to the same features as enterprise-grade customers, including enhanced vehicle productivity and easily managed vehicle maintenance. With small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) accounting for 99.8 percent of the total enterprise population in Ireland, this solution is likely to garner significant interest in the Irish market.

In addition, Geotab’s Electric Vehicle Sustainability Assessment (EVSA) tool is available for Irish customers seeking to electrify their fleets. The tool analyses a company’s fleet telematics data for a six to twelve-month period, subsequently creating an electrification recommendation based on each individual vehicle’s distinctive driving patterns. This assessment will be a powerful tool in helping businesses decarbonise their fleet lines and prepare for the ban on the sale of new petrol or diesel cars by 2030 as outlined in Ireland’s Climate Action Plan while providing deep insight for businesses into projected savings stemming from the transition to a fully or partially electric fleet.

David Savage, Vice President, UK & Ireland at Geotab, said, “We have been monitoring Ireland’s fleet sector for quite some time now, so Geotab is thrilled to finally be able to bring its full suite of technologies to the market – and given the impact of both Brexit and Covid – at a time when they are most needed. We want to help bolster transport and logistics in the Irish economy by optimising routes and vehicle performance with our data analytics tools. We see a strong desire amongst Irish companies for greater transparency and efficiency within their business fleets, and Geotab is seeking to address that demand through continued investment in the region.”

Headquartered in Canada, Geotab is the largest commercial telematics company in the world, with over 2.3 million connected vehicles worldwide and more than 1,600 employees supporting over 49,000 businesses across more than 130 countries. Geotab recently joined the ranks of the top fleet management vendors in Europe, surpassing more than 100,000 organic subscriptions. Through strategic partnerships, technology investment and growing its employee base by 131% since 2019, the company is poised for continued growth in key markets across Europe, including Ireland, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, and France.

The New Technology Behind Online Slots Games

Undeniably, gambling has been a preferred entertaining activity for adults for decades. Many years ago, people only had the opportunity to bet at land-based casinos, and, to be fair, the diversity was not as immense as it is today. Fortunately, however, remote gambling has become a thing now, and the new technology behind online slots games has made this much easier for bettors. Every gambler can indulge in an error-free gameplay, thanks to the fair RNG-based software used in virtual machines.

Online slots are definitely the most popular gambling games preferred by millions of players all over the world. That’s far from surprising, considering how beneficial they can be. What’s more, their rules are incredibly simple, and slot machines are suitable for novices and experienced gamblers. This is why many players are more interested with ICE36 UK online slots games because there are no complicated rules to follow.

With the new technology used for their development, people are allowed to place their stakes at any time, as long as they have an Internet connection. The options are endless, and there is a great number of platforms, such as www.bestcasinosites.net/ireland/slots/, which deliver useful and up-to-date content regarding the different online slots.

Another great benefit of online slots nowadays is the fact that the majority of them are mobile-friendly. That, of course, makes gambling even more convenient. You can make a bet at any time if you have a smart device with you. The number of honourable software providers has grown tremendously, as well.

Top-Rated Software Providers

More and more reliable software developers join the huge iGaming community. Each one of them delivers an exceptional selection of fully-optimized online machines that feature everything a bettor may be looking for. With the new advanced technology behind their production, bettors don’t even have to leave their homes to try their luck.

Well-known providers like Playson, Microgaming, Novomatic, NextGen Gaming, NetEnt, and many other companies have done their best to make gambling possible for everyone. Although a large percentage of bettors still enjoy visiting on-site betting houses, most of them have switched to online wagering.

Online Slots’ Advanced Technology

Every single online slot machine is powered by the so-called Random Number Generator or RNG. Simply put, this is the one thing that randomly decides the outcome of every spin of yours. You can be positive that the RNG can’t be tricked by you, the casino, or the developer.

The reason being is that the special program is producing unplanned number combinations throughout the whole time. The software then, based on these figures, produces the results shown in the particular casino game or slot machine.

Another thing that’s present within every online game is the RTP. The return-to-player ratio determines the percentage of player’s wagers, which will be returned to the gambler over an extended period of time. For instance, if a game has an RTP equal to 97.5%, this would mean that 97.5% of the punter’s overall bets will eventually be given back to him.

Mobile-Friendly Online Slot Machines

Now that you know how the new technology behind online slots games works, it’s time to find out more about the machines’ compatibility with different devices. As previously mentioned, most of them are fully responsive on mobile phones, tablets, and iPads. Although this is highly convenient, it wasn’t always like that.

At first, online slots were only accessible via laptops or computers with Flash. In the last couple of years, however, providers started creating products that are excellently optimized for all devices with a broadband connection. That gave gamblers the opportunity to take their chances whenever they want, regardless of their location.

An Immense Variety of Online Slots and Other Casino Games

With the advancement of technology, thousands of new and highly engaging slots emerged. Players are now familiar with various machines with a different number of reels and rows, diverse features, and highly advantageous bonuses. Unquestionably, before the popularization of iGaming, people’s options were quite restricted.

Today, every person, who is of legal age, even has the right to join a virtual gambling house with a professional dealer. There, they can enjoy the thrill of a live online gaming experience. The process of depositing and withdrawals is incredibly simple so that everyone has smooth and unproblematic gameplay.

The Future of Online Gambling

It’s indubitably that online gambling will develop even more in the upcoming future. Considering the fact that cryptocurrencies are now accepted instead of fiat money (dollars, euro, pounds, etc.), we can conclude that iGaming is certainly expected to reach many new heights.

Technology has become an inseparable part of people’s lives, and it’s not surprising that it affects every single aspect of our lifestyle. It is also no wonder that there are multitudinous platforms entirely dedicated to providing relevant data about the latest news regarding technology. For example, on www.techbuzzireland.com/ you can find information about the most recent tech advancements, the newest apps and devices, and so on.

Tech Review – Enacfire A9 ANC earbuds.

The Enacfire ANC earbuds are an affordable fair of earbuds with ANC present, As I have said before the cost to performance ratio has come down on earbuds and ANC is a feature many desire but overall how do these perform coming in at around 55 euros are they worth a punt… You can check out a shorts unboxing here

Build Quality

These are made of plastic however really light and they are compact with a smaller stem design than most out there today overall they are indeed a smaller earbud in general on the entire size for the format and look current with the design but we have seen similar designs like this before.

Comfort

These are light and fit quite well and with the right tips you will be fine and with the IPX7 rating these are fine for the gym if you wear such they do not move or wiggle when jogging so overall a decent experience and no pressure on the ears either when changing the controls.

Sound

The performance from these overall is quite good for their price it must be said and from my usual test run they did a great job, highs lows and mids well balanced and direction yet no distortion when maxed out either, a bit brighter than other earbuds but did well even with some bass in there for the mix and loud enough volume wise. Bass fans however might want to look elsewhere unless the company gives us an EQ app in the future which would be nice.

Controls

The controls worked really well on these and we go through these in the video below there is some lag on the volume control but all fine otherwise and you do also get access to your voice assistant to, for a cheap pair of earbuds these perform really well in comparison to some others tested and the touch sensitive area is placed well.

These also come with transparency mode and found this less effective than other earbuds but this might not bother some but something to look into, the ANC done a decent job again compared to other sub 100 euro earbuds, battery life is on par but shy of the claims by about 45 /60 mins in my testing but overall a good offering here. These also can be used individually which is a good option.

Autonomous driving in public transport: ioki joins EU Commission funding project

German software company ioki expands leading position for autonomous and on-demand mobility  first autonomous shuttles with ioki’s software start in Geneva

The Deutsche Bahn subsidiary ioki, a leading company in research and operation of autonomous transport and market leader for demand responsive transport in German-speaking countries, is the new technology partner of the EU-funded project AVENUE. The EU’s flagship project “Autonomous Vehicles to Evolve to a New Urban Experience” (AVENUE) will initially test the automation of urban transport in four European cities, with more cities to follow.

ioki will provide its specially developed technical interface for the project. The interface creates the prerequisite for combining autonomous driving and on-demand booking. In addition, the ioki software enables deep integration into the existing public transport system and MaaS apps. As the only company in the European market, ioki has experience in high-volume fleet orchestration and simultaneous navigation of autonomous shuttles in real time.

“ioki’s vision is smart, integrated transport – whether driver-based or autonomous. We are pleased that we can contribute our know-how in the field of autonomous driving to this future-oriented EU project. With the findings from the AVENUE project, we are setting the course for autonomous and connected mobility in Europe,” said Dr. Michael Barillère-Scholz, Managing Director of ioki GmbH.

“With ioki, we gain an experienced partner and come a big step closer to our goal of making Europe a global thought and technology leader in the use of connected and autonomous mobility. We are looking forward to working with ioki and to launch the first autonomous shuttles in Geneva,” said Prof. Dimitri Konstantas, AVENUE project coordinator at the University of Geneva, who is responsible for managing the €22 million EU project.

Pioneer for autonomous driving in public spaces

The software company ioki, which originates from Germany, has been pioneering autonomous driving in public spaces since its founding. The first autonomous vehicle on German roads has been on the road since 2017 using the Deutsche Bahn subsidiary’s technology. In 2019, another autonomous milestone was reached with the connection of the autonomous vehicle to rail transport. ioki’s smart platform also enables the first on-demand autonomous connection in Europe: in Karlsruhe, passenger operations for self-driving shuttles on demand started in May 2021.

ioki is entering a crucial phase in the AVENUE project. In winter, the first project shuttle will go into operation in Geneva. Within the framework of the project, further autonomous shuttles on the streets of the participating European cities will provide important insights for autonomous regular operation.

Online Safety Tips: How To Protect Your Personal Data And Sensitive Info

Technology has changed the world and the way we live by leaps and bounds. But it also comes with its own set of issues, one of which is how to protect your personal data and sensitive information from getting into the wrong hands. It’s no secret that cybercriminals are everywhere these days, so you have to take steps to protect yourself against them. Here are some tips for protecting yourself online, so you can enjoy all the benefits that technology has to offer without worrying about being victimized.

1. Encrypt Your Data So That It’s Unreadable Without A Password

To Protect Your online Personal Data And Sensitive Info, encrypt your data so that it’s unreadable without a password. You can do this by using tools like Bcrypt or Scrypt to hash passwords and sensitive information before storing them in databases or saving them on the server-side of web applications.

To Protect Your online Personal Data And Sensitive Info, anonymize and protect your Internet traffic by using a VPN provider. This review on the best VPN with RAM servers will help you choose a service provider who’ll not only ensure that you are secure while surfing online, but will also provide you with storage services. You can go a step further and sign up for two-factor authentication to provide an additional layer of security on top of passwords.

2. Start Your Computer In Safe Mode To Protect Against Viruses And Malware

When your computer starts in safe mode, only the basic files are loaded. This safety feature turns off all programs that run at startup, except for antivirus software and drivers needed to boot your machine safely into Windows. Restarting your system this way can help identify any problems or threats that may be present in your system.

To boot in safe mode, shutdown and restart your computer, then press the F11 key repeatedly until you see a menu that lets you select Safe Mode. When the machine is booted into safe mode, run an antivirus scan to make sure everything is clean before continuing with the normal use of Windows or installing programs.

3. Use Strong Passwords For All Of Your Accounts, Especially On Social Sites

If you have a hard time remembering passwords, use a password manager. Password managers will use a safe location to store your social media usernames and passwords, especially if you are unable to use two-factor verification on them. If that is the case, make sure to use a strong password for that account as well.

If a hacker guesses or finds out one of your passwords to an online account, it is possible that they could use those credentials on other accounts. This is why it’s important to make sure you use different passwords for every account and two-factor authentication on your social media accounts and online banking sites. If this isn’t an option, be careful with what browser extensions you are using.

4. Make Sure The Privacy Settings Are Set To Private

This ensures your account is hidden from the public eye. The first step in protecting yourself online starts with the two most popular search engines; Google and Bing. It’s important to be familiar with each one because they track different types of information. It’s important to be aware of the information tracked by various apps so that you can adjust the privacy settings to your comfort level.

5. Monitor What Personal Information Is Being Shared On Your Social Media Apps

Make sure to delete any personal information on your social media apps or accounts regularly. When posting pictures online, make sure not to have anything identifiable in the background. Keep your personal information safe by not sharing it with strangers. Change your passwords every so often! If someone asks for personal information from you, don’t give it to them (i.e., your full name, phone number, email address, etc.)  If you’re being harassed online, take screenshots of the messages and contact a parent/guardian/government authority immediately.

6. Be Cautious About Using Wi-Fi Networks

Be cautious about using Wi-Fi networks at coffee shops or libraries, as these may be less secure than home Wi-Fi networks. If you are on a public network that uses an unencrypted connection (a password is not required to access it), then any computer between your device and the router can potentially view your online activity.

Your online identity is not your true identity. It’s a representation of you, and it can be vulnerable to attacks if you’re not careful about how much information you share or who has access to that info. Be smart when browsing social media sites, downloading apps, connecting over Wi-Fi networks, and logging into websites with sensitive content like banking or email accounts.

What Are Real Estate Affiliate Programs And Which One Is Ideal For You

The real estate industry has always been competitive and complex. All those who are working in the industry need to be smart with their resources and what they do with them to maximize room for income and engagement. One of the recent practices that have helped many in the industry experience a steady means to grow money is affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing is another form of digital marketing. It is an advertising model where a company compensates third-party publishers in exchange for traffic or leads to the company’s products or services. The publishers are the ones called affiliates in this case, and the commission they receive often varies.

In real estate, you can partner with various companies in the field which includes schools, tech companies, and even listing agencies as well. It’s a good way to generate a stream of income for your website, and it can also be a means to broaden your reach with new people as well.

There are many factors that will affect the success of an affiliate program. Aside from the way the links are presented, what also matters is the affiliate program that you choose. There are various benefits to each affiliate program available, and here are some of the best ones we’ve found so far.

Showcase IDX

At its current stage, Showcase IDX is the leading WordPress IDX plugin for real estate. Agents that use Showcase IDX report getting over 80% more traffic on their website, and this alone should be enough reason to let you know how effective the platform is for affiliate programs.

The platform has created an affiliate program that makes it easy for you to grow your money. Basically, you can increase your income through two earning levels. You’ll also be able to get a commission for the first 12 months after each referral becomes an active Showcase IDX customer.

Foreclosure

When it comes to distressed property providers, you shouldn’t look elsewhere than Foreclosure. It is the go-to place for potential home buyers and investors. Of course, since we’re talking about affiliate programs, it’s worth diving into what you can get from Foreclosure.

The platform currently has one of the highest conversion rates in the industry. The commission is paid out on a monthly basis through PayPal, with the minimum payout being $100. As its system is very streamlined, you’re literally watching your money grow with Foreclosure.

Real Estate Express

When it comes to experience and reputation, you should have nothing to worry about when it comes to Real Estate Express. The company has been around since 1996, and it has served as one of the pioneers when it comes to real estate education. Partnering with them will help you extend your reach massively.

What’s good about being an affiliate partner with Real Estate Express is that it allows you to tap into the professional and casual market for real estate. It’s always good to have your business reach out to more than one outlet of the market if you are looking for definite success.

In terms of the commission, Real Estate Express will give you a check if your website is able to generate sales. You can easily track those sales and earnings through the company’s partner portal.

What To Look For In Affiliate Programs

The first thing you should consider when it comes to real estate affiliate programs is the reach of the platform you want to partner with. It should be popular, active, and most importantly, it should have consistent engagements regularly. This helps ensure that you are always going to get something out of the partnership.

Also, don’t just look into the commission they give you. It also matters that the affiliate partner offers good deals and more than one way to generate income. Always read through your contract with them first and familiarize yourself with what they promise your business.

Always remember that a good affiliate program is one where both parties benefit from one another. Don’t fall for affiliate programs that sound too good to be true because there’s a good chance that it isn’t what it seems. With so many platforms to choose from, it can be quite easy to pick one that benefits you most.

Affiliate marketing is a good way to generate extra income on the side. Don’t be afraid to explore this type of program in the field of real estate, as there could be serious money to be had from it. With the right program, you can earn enough to improve your business in no time.
