True Wireless earbuds are aplenty these days but people still go on about Airpods and seeing these as a benchmark which is rubbish, they are overpriced and underwhelming and yes I have tested them.

These new earbuds which come in multiple colours, Again something Apple would not know about fall into the low end pricing but having said that the cost to performance ratio has dropped over the last year when it comes to true wireless and these fit into that category easily. There is some features omitted but that is fine but what most people want is the sound quality and these deliver at their pricepoint and are worth the money.

You get fast charging in one hour and no USB-C so one makes up for the other and there is no wireless charging which is expected at this price and again this is only starting to become a standard now and will be a while before we see it as a standard feature across all price points. You can get 24HRs playback on one full charge and you get an extra 3-4 hours of charges out of the case which also has a metal finish which is quite nice but you cant have the case stand upright due to its shape but some people prefer the case to stand upright and some dont, For me it is not a big issue but prefer the latte but the case is one of the better build ones I have seen of late.

On the rear you have your LED status lights and you Micro USB charge port. The buds themselves are light and have a different shape compared to many out there with an elongated housing but they fit really well and do not stick out like some do and they do offer some noise isolation to when fitted correctly. They have a decent touch area with clicky buttons letting you know you have made a command and for the time I have tested them they worked fine each time.

The two earbuds can be used alone or in two channels and each earphone can be paired independently. Both “L” and “R” can control play/pause/previous/next/volume up/volume down /answer/end/reject call.  However they do not work independently by that I mean once one side is placed inside the case the other side will turn off but once left outside the case you are fine, again this is quite normal. You do not have voice assistant either, something that does not bother me to be honest as I hardly use this feature.

When it comes to sound I was surprised how good it was with a decent bass level and good volume level,Overall the music sounded good, crisp and clear but with a deeper tone too it which is something I like, directional, instrumentals and so on where fine and there is decent separation here and sounded like a more expensive pair of earbuds being honest when it comes to quality. The usual Netflix and You Tube also yielded no lag latency and the bluetooth range is on par with claims of 33ft (direct line) but this might vary per household due to build materials where I now see this an issue creeping in with some earbuds starting to break up even in less than 30ft but all fine here this time.

For the price you pay here with these and the colour options at hand with decent sound you cant complain, with the omissions aside you cant go wrong if you need a spare pair of true wireless of if this is your first pair, they would also make a great gift..
