The mobile market today is very competitive and with the recent deal with 3,Vodafone still remains on top with 3 being the 2nd largest provider in Ireland and with more MVNOs launching soon the competition is only set to stiffen up. Today we are using more data than ever and this seems to be where seeking deals as we use data more than ever and there is some gap in prices and allowances.

The evening herald reports….

Vodafone lost 37,000 Irish mobile customers in the first three months of the year and 110,000 mobile customers over the last 12 months, according to its most recent set of financial results.

The company remains Ireland’s largest mobile player with 2 million customers and 38pc market share here, and gained 7,000 landline customers in the quarter.

Vodafone’s Irish revenue fell 2.6pc to €936m. Its international revenue posted a modest rise in its quarterly sales measurement for the first time in nearly three years.
