KODAK announces an Android smartphone, the IM5 ,by @jimboireland #Kodak #IM5

There was rumors a while ago about Kodak announcing a smartphone now its official,kodak would be the last people you would think to announce such..

The phone will be cheap coming in at around €229 euro  when it launches sometime in March.The device was made by a company called BULLIT.

 

 

This smartphone is running Android 4.4.2 KitKat and has an octa-core 1.7GHz MediaTek processor. It has a 5-inch 1,280×720-pixel IPS display and feels lightweight, coming in at just 4.23 ounces (120 grams). It’s got a matte black finish and chrome band around the edges.

Other specs include 8GB of internal storage and 1GB of RAM. The phone is also dual-SIM, which means you can use two different cell phone networks on it at the same time.Camera wise we have a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front facing.

Samsung have always wowed us with TVs and phones and of course tabs but this year Samsung have announced something small that is actually big,when it comes to what it can do.SSD drives are popular today but portability wins and this new Storage drive is the size of a credit card,yes its that small,well almost..

To say how fast it is,its quick you could transfer 3GB  Movie in 8 seconds.there will be three models available when its launched starting  with a 250GB,500GB and 1TB and its estimated to cost from €150 which is not bad at all..Its expected to launch next month..

LG G Flex 2 is announced at #CES its also self healing. by @jimboireland #LG #FLEX2

LG sre no stranger to the market today although the mobile phones do not get much love in Ireland despite how fa they have come since the LG G2 and G3 which are remarkable devices that never got to see the light of day by our operators and this left avid LG fans having to import the devices from the UK or EU.

Having had the G3 myself they have really stepped up the mark in the last two years and now offer some strong competition for the likes of Samsung and HTC.

The screen is curved to a 700mm radius and the rear at 650mm.It sports a 3000 mAh battery which should see the average user through the day without and issues,for power users this may vary.It has a special coated glass which was developed by LG and said the be stronger than Gorilla Glass 3..It has an LG Developed P- OLED display and 1080p resolution

The Flex 2 will come with a Snapdragon 810 ,and has Android Lollipop 5.0 out of the box which also will be welcome to potential buyers,It also sports 2GB RAM and will come in 16/32GB variants plus the option to take micro sd cards which will also another welcome addition for those who are interested.

It has a 13MP rear camera with ios and laser auto focus,same as the LG G3 which takes really nice photos.The rear camera is only a 2.1 MP which is acceptable for most.The Flex 2 will be available in several colours such as Flamenco Red and Platinum silver ,its not know if we will see it here in Ireland and mostly likely will not so again we may have to import the device again unless the carriers take it on board,given the past few devices as mentioned before have not been released here this is all we can go on for the moment..

A Reason to Cheer for #WinPhans, #VLC for #WindowsPhone is finally out by @Tiwaash #App

During the last month the WindowsPhone community was pretty happy that VideoLabs finally had decided to develop VLC for WindowsPhone when it released VLC for WP Beta to the registered testers, which made it pretty obvious that the full fledged app was round the corner.

Good news is VLC for WindowsPhone is now available on the store for download and out from Beta. VLC player supports various video and audio codecs. The UI is clean and straightforward giving you control over your music and videos. VLC for WindowsPhone requires WindowsPhone 8.1.

A new game has popped up on the play store and it seems quite interesting if you enjoy aircraft.

Simple Planes is a new game that gives you the ability to mess around with aircraft and then to try fly them,not like a real simulator but some nice setbacks and its a nice game to pass the time if this is your scene.You can customise your craft and download other craft too so its giving you some time to get creative..
