TCL at #IFA2025 Technological Innovations and Olympic Spirit

TCL, a global number one Mini LED TV brand and a Worldwide Olympic Partner, makes an annual presence to IFA at Berlin this September. Spanning over 2,500 square meters in Hall 21A, TCL’s Hall aims to showcase connected living – uniting display technology, immersive audio, smart home appliances, and on-the-go innovation. The booth will also highlight TCL’s latest partnership with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), including Team TCL athlete ambassadors, interactive fan zones, and dedicated activations.

TCL arrives at IFA 2025 showcasing strong growth worldwide. The brand remains the global number one Mini LED TV brand, achieving a 176% increase in Mini LED TV shipments in the first half of 2025. In Europe, TCL has outperformed the TV market, with Mini LED TV shipments rising by 91% and 75-inch and larger models up 72%. It is currently the No. 2 TV brand in France and Poland, while also holding leading positions across multiple other European markets.

Some of TCL’s key innovations being showcased at IFA include the world’s largest QD-Mini LED TV, 57” Mini LED Gaming Monitors, latest FreshIN and VoxIN air conditioning and Free built-in and Combi refrigeration appliances – alongside mobile innovations such as the TCL NXTPAPER 60 Ultra, which combines a 7.2-inch paper-like eye-care display with AI-powered reading and writing experience and outstanding camera performance for more comfortable and creative smartphone use. Also debuting at IFA is the TCL MOVETIME MT48 kids’ smartwatch, designed with safety, connectivity and creativity in mind. 

What’s more, TCL also showcases RayNeo AR glasses, Human-Vehicle-Home cockpit solutions, Smart Lock and TCL Solar panels and SunPower Home Solutions. Adding companionship to multiple scenarios is TCL Ai Me—the world’s first modular AI companion robot, blending lifelike expressions, interactive AI, and smart living features.

TCL’s 2025 C-Series QD-Mini LED TVs are designed to improve everyday viewing. The C9K turns movie nights into cinema-like experiences, while the C8K offers a flexible balance – rich HDR picture quality, plus smooth motion and settings optimised for gamers. The C7K’s 144Hz refresh rate keeps fast action in sport, gaming, or action films free from blur. Samsung Unveils “AI Home: Future Living, Now” #IFA2025

At Innovation For All (IFA) 2025, Samsung Electronics showcased its  vision for “AI Home: Future Living, Now”. Samsung’s AI Home aims to be a reality people can experience today  — not just in the future — and one designed for everyone, not just a select few.

Samsung research1reveals that 66% of consumers find the idea of an AI-enabled home appealing, with many  envisioning streamlined daily tasks (44%) and greater control via phone or voice commands (45%). AI Home, with SmartThings automated routines, delivers on this vision – automating lighting, temperature, and even  syncing blinds with the weather for effortless living. 

The home is a sanctuary for 93% of people and a social hub for 80%. As families spend more time together,  AI Home enhances shared moments with wellness checks, personalised sleep settings, and nutrition planning.

Galaxy AI Expands with New Devices 

Starting with the Galaxy S24 series and a commitment to democratise Galaxy AI to over 200 million devices  in 2024, Samsung Galaxy has defined a new era of mobile AI innovation.  

Now, the latest Galaxy AI experience comes to new products, designed to ensure a seamless mobile  experience on a wider range of devices with multimodal capabilities.

emporia Smart7.Lite and Smart.ME7 First Look

Each new 7 Series model – the Smart7.Lite, and Smart.ME7 – comes with a user-replaceable battery with a standby time of almost 10 days. The battery has been tested for at least 1,000 charging cycles and the charging capacity can be limited to 80 per cent to ensure longevity and we will be taking two of the models for a test over the coming weeks and will have a full review soon so check the unboxing below and if you need anything answered you know what to do..

In addition, spare parts for the 7 Series are guaranteed to be available for at least seven years, plus there is a guaranteed five-generation Android upgrade path. The three models will ship with Android 15, with an update to the newly announced Android 16 due in early 2026.

“Our customers are not mobile phone hoppers who buy a new smartphone every year or two, which is why we have designed the new 7 series with durability in mind”, explains emporia marketing director, Karin Schaumberger.

Security in mind

Thanks to NFC and a fingerprint sensor, users don’t have to worry when banking online or logging into digital government services. emporia also prioritizes the implementation of Android security patches; 7 Series smartphones will be automatically updated to the latest security level.

“Security is a key selling point for our customers, and there can be no compromises in this regard,” explains Karin Schaumberger.

With personal security in mind, 7 Series smartphones feature emporia’s signature ‘No Panic’ button – an external, directly accessible button so you can more easily call for help in an emergency. The button can alternatively be configured as a shortcut to a favourite function – for example, offering instant access to the Google Gemini voice assistant.

Enhanced usability

The new 7 Series can be used in standard Android mode or with the streamlined emporia interface, which makes it easier to find and use core functionality including calls, emails and favourite apps. The emporia Info Centre collates all notifications from multiple sources – from emails and WhatsApp messages to calendar or voicemail alerts – so you can catch up with a single glance.

Also on board is the new Flash Notification option, which means you’ll never miss a call or message again when your phone is on silent. Incoming calls and messages are signalled by both the screen and backlight flashing.

To help simplify things further still, the free emporiaCOACH app helps digital newcomers and switchers to quickly familiarise themselves with their smartphone.

Compact format

The 7 Series comes in a pocket-friendly 5.45in format; there will be no 6.6in option as in previous ranges.  Each model features a triple-lens camera plus selfie camera.

“The demand for more manageable smartphones remains strong, and the feedback from our customers is clear,” explains Karin Schaumberger.

All new 7 Series models include the core functionality detailed above. The difference come in the extras supplied with each model.

Smart7.Lite  – £250/€250 The bestseller comes as standard with emporia’s patented Smartcover, which allows key functions to be used even while closed. It offers slimline protection for both screen and casing. It also comes with a handy docking cradle, which cuts cable-clutter when charging but also provides a nicely angled hands-free calling hub.

Smart7.Mini  – £200/€200 Comes with the docking cradle as standard, but not the Smartcover.

Smart.ME7 – £200/€200 Supports full Android mainstream; no extras supplied as standard.

It is on the larger side compared to my secrid for example however you will always know it is in your pocket unlike my secrid which is smaller and lighter and holds up to 6 cards at any one time.
