Tech Review – Jabra Elite 10

The Jabra Elite 10 have been the latest earbuds to sit in my ears for some time now and is the latest and greatest from their company alongside their Elite Active 8 which are again one of their latest additions to their line up of products. The packaging is again familiar keeping in line with the portfolio keeping them distinguished from other in the market and a brand easy to recognize in store.

The presentation again is excellent and that can be seen in the unboxing video with the Elite Active 8 which has been recently reviewed here. The case design has slightly changed on this and appears taller and thinner and the earbud design itself is again familiar with nice clicky controls giving a satisfying click and getting the job done first time rather than missing inputs which can happen on some earbuds.

The earbuds fit well with the newly shaped tips and give decent passive noise isolation out of the box and has a rubberized coating on the housing, they still fit well and will not fall out of the ears even when training and offers an IP57 rating but it is the sound that most people want to know about which we will discuss later and in the video review below. The Jabra Advanced ANCTM which blocks out 2x more noise than Jabra’s standard ANC and from my testing is accurate so again making these ideal for calls on the go and of course enjoying your music to the fullest and calls also came out well on both ends when testing and even in the wind which we had plenty of lately.

Battery life is decent to and on par with their claims on a standard users viewpoint, a heavy user like me however turns things up the max with volume and EQ settings so I get a bit less which is the norm here but overall decent battery life and again wireless charging is present here which I am glad was not dropped. In real testing about 26 hours in total was seen with my settings and another great feature is multipoint pairing with bluetooth 5.3 which for me is a vital feature with any pair of earbuds, I can live without it but is a feature I require.

The app once again is packed with features and also ensure you do the full set-up in the app to get the best out of the earbuds, this is the case for many earbuds today and I recommend not to skip as many folks do and is a question I often get from people buying earbuds on my word saying they are not enjoying them and this is the reason why, if the feature is there it is there to be used so use it.

Jabra Elite 10 earbuds – techbuzzireland

The controls work a treat as mentioned above and the sound is again top notch as expected and this time around we have head tracking on board which is a feature we are now seeing more of and is excellent, you might ask what head tracking is and it is simply keeping the audio balanced as you would hear in real life in your ears when your head is tuned in a different direction keeping it simple, you may of heard of the term “spatial audio”. So for example if you turn your head to the right the audio sounds more in the left side. It’s cool if you have not tried it yet. With the Jabra Elite 10 you have Dolby Atmos with the head tracking keeping things immersive.

So when it comes to sound you know what the answer is here, it once again is great with highs lows and mids all balanced well, good volume great bass and more but you have the Sound+ app to help you along and customise things to your requirements and you can see below the screenshots taken from the app as well as a tour of the app in the video review.

With any Jabra earbuds you will be onto a winner with sound and these are not different however I did find them a little brighter overall than previous models but this is fine as they can be fine tuned, everyone’s ears are different and thoughts are subjective but from someone who tests the biggest range of earbuds in Ireland if you are in the market for a new pair of earbuds these are certainly an easy recommend from me if you want to shell out the euros, as cost is a thing for many these days.

You get what you pay for in today’s world for the most things in life and I believe many invest in their earbuds these days due to travel and work use and with the Jabra Elite 10 you have it all and are an investment if they are the right fit for your needs which the Elite 10 kinda cover all peoples needs with their latest installment. Many still compare today Apple Airpods Pro as a benchmark and I have tested them with a loan from a friend but still to this day do not own a pair of them because simply they are hyped up and do not live up to my expectations and there is better out there for less money and if you are a long time user of Jabra earbuds you know who wins here.
