Celest IgniteX Beast Earbuds Review

The Celest IgniteX Beast Earbuds comes with 10mm LCP dynamic drivers,0.78mm 2pin interchangeable cable design and 3D printed resin shell which are quite different to your typical earbud and they also look cool.

These are simple no fuss earbuds however with no fancy features or app for a curated listening experience but overall the sound is ok with a bright sound to them overall.

No tinny sound was noted and with a direct connection via USB-C no lag latency noted either and calls clear both ends.

The sound is what people want to know about and for me overall balanced no direction but fine on highs lows and mids when in certain genres and same with bass and an overall brighter listening experience. The earbuds come with a Hybrid Dual Driver
1 Dynamic Driver + 1 Balanced Armature Hybrid Dual Driver.

These would suit people who are on a budget or just do not care about the niceties you get with more expensive earbuds and I think the company is aiming at more of a market share with several other offerings at affordable prices to meet the masses.

You can control calls and the volume  play and pause with the inline remote and that is all you will find here which is basic but there is plenty out there who just like having basic to the points get the job done things and this is what these earbuds do.

IgniteX Beast, one of the Five Divine Beasts
IgniteX Beast is a mythical creature recorded in ancient texts such as The Classic of Mountains and Seas and The Biographies of Immortals. It resembles a deer, with hooves like a horse, its body engulfed in flames, capable of spewing fire, and its roar echoes through the heavens. It was once the mount of the Flame Emperor. In folklore, it is seen as a symbol of strength and courage, also representing good fortune and blessings for childbirth. The deer head symbolizes vitality, the flames represent light and hope, conveying good luck and happiness.”

Features

10mm LCP Liquid Crystal Polymer Diaphragm Dynamic Driver | Custom Celest Balanced Armature | 3D Printed Ear Shell | Semi-Universal Mold Shell
0.78mm 2pin Detachable Cable | Acoustic Structural Shell | Oxygen-Free Copper Earphone Cable | Hybrid Dual Driver
1 Dynamic Driver + 1 Balanced Armature Hybrid Dual Driver

3D Printing + Coloring Process
IgniteX Beast earphone shell is made using resin 3D printing, with a semi-transparent black finish. The faceplate of the earphone features flame elements, with flame textures created through modeling. After 3D printing, the design is spray-painted to give it a gradient effect of ‘Zyra’ and ‘Kuno,’ capturing the appearance of flames in mid-burn.

“For nearly a century, Shure has pioneered innovative solutions that help solve our customers’ problems while moving the industry forward. Now, Axient Digital PSM offers a revolutionary digital radio with WMAS capabilities, remote management for engineers, and a pristine audio experience for performers,” said Nick Wood, Senior Director, Global Marketing and Product Management, at Shure. “To unlock new possibilities and applications, Shure is dedicated to advocating for spectrum efficiency and WMAS regulations worldwide. Axient Digital PSM takes advantage of this opportunity, giving users more resources to optimise performance and make the best possible use of spectrum, now and in the future.”

“I am a keyboardist, Music Director, and touring musician, and I would absolutely urge everybody to get on the Shure IEM system. You can count on it being clear allowing you to hear finest of details. The performance environment and audiences change, even the way we play may change but the one constant has been the Axient Digital PSM in ear monitor system.” – Roland Hamilton, Professional Musician.

Key Features and Benefits

Superior RF Performance and Audio Quality
Axient Digital PSM enables engineers to say ‘yes’ to more complex and creative productions because they’ll have access to more on-air channels of in ear monitoring. With a next-generation digital radio and sophisticated headphone amplifier design, performers will enjoy the highest audio quality with no compromises to signal reliability and less than 2.9ms latency for the most immersive audio experience.

Powered by Shure WMAS, Axient Digital PSM features a multi-channel wideband mode that significantly increases spectral efficiency. With multi-channel wideband mode, users can free up radios for improved RF performance or channel count scalability.

Developed by Shure, Spatial Diversity employs two transmit diversity antennas, each sending an identical signal on the same frequency, providing RF engineers with a new, easier option for supporting separate zones and optimizing coverage for stadiums, indoor venues, and broadcast studios. When Spatial Diversity transmitters engage with True Digital Diversity bodypack receivers, Axient Digital PSM combines four discrete signal paths per channel to deliver advanced protection against multipath interference and RF noise.

Axient Digital PSM transmitters support both analog and digital input formats, including AES3, Dante, and AES67, which enables monitor engineers to easily connect to modern consoles. Standard AES256 encryption is available for secure transmission.

“I tested Axient Digital PSM with my musicians, and they said it was fantastic. The signal sounds clearer and cleaner. My two favorite features from Shure’s new system are Spatial Diversity and ShowLink, as they do the work for you: it syncs immediately, ensures a robust RF, and allows me to do everything from side stage, avoiding hiding behind my guitarist or musicians. It’s one less thing that we engineers need to worry about.” – Kyle, Professional Monitor Engineer.

Axient Digital PSM 4-ch Wideband supporting up to 28 channels per 6 MHz

Flexibility and Scalability
Axient Digital PSM features two single rack space transmitter options: ADTQ Quad Transmitter and ADTD Dual Transmitter. Both offer four flexible and powerful transmission modes.

  • Multi-channel Wideband (available regionally according to WMAS regulations), supporting up to 28 channels per 6 MHz in the US and 40 channels per 8 MHz in Europe. This exceeds FCC’s requirement for WMAS to have a mode of operation in which it can operate with at least three audio channels per MHz.
  • Narrowband provides access to more RF output power per channel and maintains spectral efficiency at 17 channels per 6 MHz.
  • Analog FM allows for high-quality audio with ultra-low latency.
  • Axient Digital Standard (Point-to-Point Mode) will let users send long-distance audio to any Axient Digital microphone receiver. It will be available through a post -launch firmware update.

With Axient Digital PSM, engineers and rental houses can address their needs today while being prepared for the future.

Command and Control
Axient Digital PSM is supported by Shure’s Wireless Workbench® and ShowLink® ecosystem. For the first time, monitor engineers can enjoy comprehensive remote management of every bodypack receiver on stage, with visibility to key parameters and the ability to make adjustments if necessary.

  • With ShowLink, real-time control enables continuous monitoring of all bodypack receivers, including channel quality, battery life, volume position, headphone connect status, and more. Remote management helps audio professionals know when it’s time to swap batteries, when to intervene if channel quality is compromised, resolve volume control issues for the artist, and troubleshoot faster.
  • With Wireless Workbench and the AD600 Spectrum Manager, engineers can address technical issues, monitor RF spectrum, and maintain backup frequencies, ensuring smooth performances from start to finish.

Axient Digital PSM wireless in ear monitor system will be available early 2025. For more information please visit: www.shure.com/adpsm

xMEMS Labs Debuts Cutting-Edge Reference Designs for True Wireless Stereo Earbuds and In-Ear-Monitors

Accelerating the adoption of solid-state micro speakers in consumer audio products, MEMS audio and semiconductor pioneer xMEMS Labs today announced the availability of two innovative reference designs for purchase at the xMEMS web store

The first unit, known as Harding, serves as xMEMS’ reference design for 2-way True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds, while the other is for audiophile-level full-range in-ear-monitors (IEMs). Both are available for a limited time and in extremely limited quantities, with the goal of providing interested audio brands and manufacturers with accelerated time-to-market leveraging xMEMS’ patented designs.

According to xMEMS VP of Marketing and Business Development Mike Housholder, by making these reference designs available for purchase, the company is giving brands the best possible starting point so they and their customers can immediately begin reaping the benefits of the world’s first all-silicon, monolithic MEMS micro speakers.

“As we continue to build momentum and awareness around our MEMS-based technologies that deliver a better sounding speaker with greater production efficiency and uniformity, we’re doing everything we can to support every customer who understands the value of making MEMS speakers part of their future product story,” Housholder said. “That’s why we’re making available for purchase a limited number of our TWS earbud and IEM designs to any forward-looking brand or manufacturer seeking a roadmap for the fastest possible adoption of xMEMS technology.”

In addition to the design itself, those who make a purchase will be able to request the complete xMEMS design files for each solution, including their acoustic, mechanical and electrical components.

The Harding 2-way TWS earbud design delivers superior high-frequency response and clarity featuring Cowell, the world’s smallest solid-state micro speaker. Cowell serves as the tweeter for highly realistic mids and highs and is paired with a custom-designed 9-mm dynamic driver woofer that delivers thumping bass. This ANC-ready (Active Noise Canceling) design embeds a Qualcomm Bluetooth Audio SoC and three microphones per earbud for noise canceling.

All told, Harding is a turn-key ODM design that’s fully integrated with all the needed components and expertly tuned acoustics to enable a seamless transition from legacy coil speakers to all-silicon micro speakers in TWS earbuds.

Montara Plus, the world’s highest output MEMS micro speaker, is the ideal full-bandwidth transducer for an IEM reference design that delivers sound pressure levels up to 120 dB @ 200 Hz. This USB-C IEM design embeds a hi-res audio DAC from Synaptics and a voice microphone for phone call and web support.

Furthermore, Montara Plus’ lightning-fast transient response and wide bandwidth (20Hz to >40kHz) achieve the highest fidelity and clarity in a simplified, single speaker IEM, creating a path to smaller, lighter, simpler IEM designs without the phase alignment and design complexities of multi-driver IEM implementations.

“We’re seeing demand for xMEMS speakers grow exponentially as brands all over the globe try to stand out in the market and streamline their production efforts. By selling these reference designs, we’re doing our part to ensure the switch to MEMS speakers is as smooth and efficient as possible so more brands, manufacturers and their customers can soon benefit from xMEMS’ industry-changing innovations,” Housholder concluded.
