Today, Google is starting to roll out Search Live globally in all languages and locations where AI Mode is available. With this launch, people in more than 200 countries and territories will be able to have interactive conversations with Search in AI Mode, using both voice and camera.
This expansion is enabled by their new audio and voice model, Gemini 3.1 Flash Live, which delivers even more natural and intuitive conversations. The new model is also inherently multilingual, which means that people around the world will be able to speak with Search in their preferred language. Read more below..
Bringing Search Live to more people
Search Live is designed for those moments when you need real-time help, and typing out a query just won’t cut it. To go Live with Search, simply open the Google app on Android or iOS and tap the Live icon under the Search bar. From there, you can ask your question out loud to get a helpful audio response, then continue the conversation with follow-up questions or dive deeper with helpful web links.
If you want to ask about something in front of you, like how to install a new shelving unit you can enable your camera to add visual context. This way, Search can see what your camera sees and offer helpful suggestions, plus links to more information on the web.
You can also access Search Live if you’re already pointing your camera with Google Lens — just tap the Live option at the bottom of the screen to have a real-time, back-and-forth conversation about what you see in the real world.

The all new Google Pixel 10a has been my daily driver now and on a first look you will be asking questions many have asked and that is it looks the same, true this is relatable to many other devices on the market today and Goolge seems to be playing it safe with the idea if it is not broke dont fix it approach which is fine and I like it.
People will ask why bother, well people have changed their update regimes taking adavantage of longer support like the 7 years Pixel devices now get and each year people will be on different cycles so their needs to be a new shiny device for those people however people will still ask why bother when software is now king on many smarthphones.
What has changed on the Google Pixel 9a to the new 10a, on the looks department nothing really, the small lip around the camera area is now gone giving a completely flat surface on the rear but no PixelSnap.
There is now wireless charing this time at 15W better battery optimization, brighter screen new Gorrilla Glass 7i Auto Best Take and Macro Focus on the cameras better contrast and Satellite SOS and also 60-120hz refresh rate set at 60 out of the box.
The Google Pixel 10a is of course packed with AI goodness as before again not much changing from last year from Auto Focus Add Me, Macro Focus Audio Magic Eraser and Reimagine and Auto Frame and of course Night Sight.

Under the hood we have still last years Chip which did not bode well with some on the announcement day which is the Google Tensor G4 and coming with 8GB of RAM and two storag options being 128GB and 256GB storage options.
From being a daily driver for me the last week or so it has been again fine like before for my needs which is more heavy than any general users and again it perfomed just fine even keeping up with the Pixel 10 pro which I moved down from.

This case is simple and to the point it covers all corners leaves access to ports and speakers and gives you additonal grip, there is a lip on the front which also allows for screen protection so it can be placed face down and of course rear down since the little edge is now gone from the camera area.
The buttons are tactile and work well making the case experience overall better to have on than off and yes many like the naked feel of their phone but it is better to be safe than sorry no matter the price of the phone.
There is no Magnet in the case so keep that in mind but it still charges wirelessly which is fine but for putting if you are a house full of MagSafe accessories like phone stands and the likes you might want to get another one.

Irish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) overwhelmingly believe artificial intelligence (AI) can benefit their business, yet most are still struggling to translate that opportunity into action, according to new research released today. The study, commissioned by Google in partnership with Amárach Research and based on a survey of 400 Irish SMEs, shows that while 80% believe AI can positively impact their business and 65% expect it to drive growth in 2026, adoption remains limited.
The findings indicate a significant confidence and capability gap. The main barriers preventing greater AI adoption include fear of making mistakes (30%), lack of skills (27%) and cost (24%), with many business leaders unsure of where to start (16%). More than half (57%) believe they are behind competitors in adopting AI, while 50% are concerned their business could be left behind without it. The research also highlights that micro-businesses, longer established firms and non-exporters are most at risk of falling behind, underscoring the need for targeted, practical support that meet SMEs’ varying needs.
The research is being launched today at an event hosted by Google Ireland at The Foundry as part of Local Enterprise Week. In partnership with the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) network, Google also announced the launch of AI Works for Ireland, a series of complimentary, face-to-face regional events aimed at equipping SMEs with practical AI skills for business. The series begins today in Dublin, followed by events in Galway (April 30th), Cork (14th May) and Monaghan (28th May). Each event will feature insights from Google AI experts on how SMEs can use AI to drive growth, creativity and efficiency, alongside dedicated AI workshops offering support for founders and business leaders.
As part of the initiative, Google and the Local Enterprise Office network are providing up to 10,000 AI scholarships to workers across Ireland. Delivered through Coursera, the Google AI Professional Certificate offers practical training across more than 20 real-world AI business use cases, from data analysis and content creation to customer communications.
This research and initiative follows the release of the government’s National Digital and AI strategy, which includes key pillars to empower people, workers and businesses to develop cutting edge skills and fostering digital and AI literacy, alongside growing a digital innovative and competitive enterprise sector within Ireland.

The Gemini app creates 30-second tracks with custom cover art generated by Nano Banana. This makes it easy to quickly share with friends by downloading or simply clicking the share link. The goal of these tracks isn’t to create a musical masterpiece, but rather to give you a fun, unique way to express yourself.
Creators can also explore Lyria 3 on YouTube’s Dream Track. Available in the U.S. and now rolling out to YouTube creators in other countries, Lyria 3 will enhance the quality of each unique Shorts soundtrack. Whether it’s creating a lyrical verse or a vibey backing track, being able to better customize the soundtrack will take creators’ Shorts to the next level.
New audio verification capabilities
All tracks generated in the Gemini app are embedded with SynthID, our imperceptible watermark for identifying Google AI-generated content. We are also giving you more tools to help identify AI content, broadening our verification capabilities in the Gemini app to include audio. Simply upload a file and ask if it was generated using Google AI, and Gemini will check for SynthID and use its own reasoning to return a response.

Since we first launched Lyria in 2023, we’ve sought to develop this technology responsibly in collaboration with the music community. Music generation with Lyria 3 is designed for original expression, not for mimicking existing artists. If your prompt names a specific artist, Gemini will take this as broad creative inspiration and create a track that shares a similar style or mood. We also have filters in place to check outputs against existing content. We recognize that our approach might not be foolproof, so you can report content that may violate your rights or the rights of others. Additionally, in order to use our products, users must adhere to our Terms of Service and Gen AI prohibited use policies, which prohibit violations of others’ intellectual property and privacy rights.
Lyria 3 is available in the Gemini app for all users 18+ in English, German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese, with plans to expand quality and coverage of more languages.
