EIZO Releases 31.5-inch 4K Color Management Monitor

EIZO has introduced the ColorEdge CS3200X – a 31.5‑inch 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) color management monitor joining the ColorEdge CS Series lineup. The CS3200X combines core ColorEdge technologies with added value for diverse workflows, supporting the shared needs of videographers, photographers, designers, and other visual storytellers who rely on consistency, precision, and dependable color.

As visual creation spans a broader range of practices and continues to shift toward higher resolutions, tools capable of supporting diverse needs have become essential to modern creative workflows. As the first 31.5-inch 4K model in the ColorEdge CS Series, the CS3200X provides a workspace designed for these requirements. Its generous screen size keeps timelines, layers, and tools comfortably in view, while the detailed 4K resolution renders images and video with crisp detail, allowing creators to discern fine textures and tonal transitions with greater precision.

With 99% Adobe RGB and 96% DCI‑P3 coverage, the monitor reproduces key color spaces used across photography, video, print, and design. Preset modes for DCI-P3 and BT.709 support standard video workflows, while Display P3 ensures consistency with mobile devices and MacBook computers. Each preset is easily accessible from the on-screen display, enabling intuitive switching to the appropriate color space for any project.

The monitor supports both industry-standard transfer functions – Hybrid log-gamma (HLG) for broadcast and Perceptual Quantization (PQ) for film and streaming production. These gamma curves expand the monitor’s ability to display HDR content, presenting highlights and shadows with greater dimensionality and nuance so creators can evaluate detail separation in conditions that align with modern HDR-ready delivery formats.

The new three-sided frameless design minimizes borders to reduce visual interruptions and brings a modern, immersive aesthetic to any creative workspace. The CS3200X also delivers noiseless, fanless operation to support a calm and focused environment.

In addition to DisplayPort™ and HDMI® terminals, the monitor’s USB Type-C® connectivity delivers video signal, USB data, and up to 70 W power delivery through a single cable, supporting mobile and hybrid environments where creators move between laptops and different workstations. The CS3200X is also the first model in the CS Series to feature Sync Signal, which automatically adjusts brightness, gamma, and color gamut according to the input signal’s metadata. This ensures accurate viewing conditions when switching between SDR and HDR or moving across color spaces, reducing manual steps and maintaining consistency from the start of each project.

The CS3200X is also the first model in the CS Series to come bundled with a light-shielding hood. The hood requires no assembly and attaches magnetically to the monitor for quick and secure installation.

As part of EIZO’s commitment to sustainability, a portion of the plastic used in the monitor is recycled plastic to help reduce environmental impact and promote resource conservation.

EIZO Releases Eco-Conscious 27-inch Monitor with USB Type-C

EIZO Corporation today announced the release of the FlexScan EV2720S – a 27-inch, WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution monitor equipped with USB Type-C® connectivity for streamlined hot desking and remote office work. It is the successor model to the FlexScan EV2781, offering enhanced energy efficiency and compliance with the latest global environmental standards.

With sustainability gaining more significance in the modern landscape, organizations are urged to make well-informed decisions when procuring new technology. The EV2720S consumes just 14 watts of power, representing a 22% reduction from the previous model. This substantial decrease helps users to lower energy costs and contributes to a smaller carbon footprint, supporting sustainability efforts.

Compared to its predecessor, the EV2720S features an improved contrast ratio of 1500:1, up from 1000:1, for crisp and clear display. The monitor offers a resolution of 2560 x 1440 across a spacious 27-inch screen, providing 1.8 times more screen space than conventional Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels). This expanded workspace allows users to comfortably display multiple windows simultaneously, reducing the need for frequent switching and scrolling.

As modern workstyles continue to diversify, the need for versatile and adaptable technology becomes increasingly important. The EV2720S features USB Type-C connectivity that allows users to connect their laptop with a single, multi-purpose cable. EIZO Releases New 24.1-inch Color Management Monitor with HDR Support

EIZO Corporation has introduced the 24.1-inch ColorEdge CG2400S color management monitor, the successor to the ColorEdge CG2420. It is the first 24.1-inch monitor in the CG series to feature HDR workflow support for professional creatives, as well as the first monitor in the ColorEdge lineup to have its housing made from recycled plastic for reducing environmental impact.

Designed to meet the diverse needs of professional creatives in fields such as photography, video editing, design, and print, the CG2400S features WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution on a 24.1-inch screen. With a typical contrast ratio of 1800:1, the highest in the ColorEdge CG series, the monitor produces true blacks to ensure shadows are rendered in high detail and lifelike accuracy. It is also equipped with a retardation film to overcome color distortion from optical shifts, allowing tones to retain their depth even when viewed from an angle.

The CG2400S is the first 24.1-inch model in the CG series to support the hybrid log-gamma (HLG) transfer function and perceptual quantization (PQ) curve for displaying and editing HDR content. These optimized gamma curves render images more accurately to how the human eye perceives the real world compared to SDR, ensuring professional creators can reliably work in HDR. 

The monitor features a USB Type-C input for seamless connection to notebook PCs with a single cable, reducing cable clutter and eliminating the need to reconnect multiple peripherals so users can start creating instantly. This convenient, multi-purpose connectivity also supplies up to 70W of power to connected devices, eliminating the need for a laptop’s bulky power supply unit, and enabling a faster, more efficient setup when moving between creative workspaces or working remotely.

The CG2400S is equipped with EIZO’s award-winning built-in sensor technology and proprietary ColorNavigator 7 color management software, allowing users to effortlessly calibrate the monitor automatically at designated times. This eliminates the need for a third-party calibration device and ensures the screen maintains color accuracy over time.

When using the CG2400S in the video production workflow, the Sync Signal function automatically adjusts the monitor’s settings, such as input range and color format, according to the video signal. Furthermore, system managers can utilize the monitor’s Pixel Inspection function to verify that technical settings match the current project’s predefined color parameters. These convenient functions ensure creators are always working within the correct parameters, minimizing the risk of costly rework and production delays.

In line with EIZO’s commitment to transitioning its products to more environmentally conscious materials and packaging as part of its company-wide sustainability efforts, the CG2400S is the first monitor in the ColorEdge series to use recycled plastics in its housing. Made of over 85% recycled plastic, one of the highest among EIZO’s monitors, it helps reduce plastic waste, conserve resources, and promote the reuse of materials to preserve the natural ecosystem. It is also securely packaged using molded pulp made from recycled cardboard and newspaper instead of environmentally unfriendly materials.

The monitor’s packaging and cushioning are also made from recycled materials to minimise environmental impact. Optimised packaging size allows for increased loading efficiency by approximately 50% and a decrease in GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emissions during transport by up to 42%. Corporate customers have options for collective packaging, with or without desk stands, to further reduce overall waste and streamline installation time.

From the procurement and manufacturing to shipping and usage, the GHG emissions throughout the entire product lifecycle of the FLT have been reduced by approximately 32% compared to a previous 23.8-inch monitor.

 

Future-Leading Workstyle

As modern workstyles diversify, workspaces must evolve to empower individuals to work efficiently, creatively, and comfortably. The FLT features USB Type-C ports for a single-cable connection to a laptop, enabling video display, USB signal transmission, and a maximum of 60 watts of power supply to a connected PC. The FlexScan FLT is also the first EIZO monitor to support power supply from external devices via USB Type-C, allowing it to operate without the need for an AC adapter.

The FlexScan FLT’s Auto EcoView function automatically adjusts the screen brightness based on ambient lighting changes, while the EcoView Optimizer 2 function fine-tunes brightness and gain according to displayed content. Together, these technologies enhance viewing comfort and minimise power consumption. The monitors new Eco Mode preset automatically activates both functions for easy access.

Users can view the power consumption of the FLT and connected devices, including the PC, in real time through the OSD, promoting eco-consciousness. Additionally, they can choose to display this information statically at the edge of the screen for quick, at-a-glance reference.
