Maono PD200W wireless dynamic microphone review

The Maono PD200W stands out as one of the most versatile and budget-friendly microphones available for creators, streamers, and podcasters. By successfully merging a professional-grade dynamic capsule with 2.4 GHz wireless functionality, it delivers exceptional flexibility without compromising on audio quality or features.

The “Hybrid” moniker is well-earned, as the PD200W offers a trifecta of connectivity options, ensuring it fits into nearly any recording setup:

  1. 2.4 GHz Wireless: This is the headline feature. The mic operates wirelessly via a small receiver that plugs into your device (PC, phone, camera) via USB-C or a 3.5mm jack (depending on the receiver version). This allows for up to 60 meters of range and is perfect for on-the-go interviews, vlogging, and clean desktop setups.
  2. USB-C Digital: A simple plug-and-play connection to a PC, laptop, or phone, delivering high-resolution 24-bit/48kHz digital audio. This is ideal for streaming and studio work.
  3. XLR Analog: For professional setups, the XLR output allows connection to a mixer or audio interface, offering robust analog performance.

Audio Quality and Noise Suppression

The PD200W is designed to capture clear, focused vocals, a hallmark of dynamic microphones.

The 30mm dynamic capsule delivers a clean, intimate sound with strong vocal clarity. It excels at close-miking, which is essential for podcasting and streaming. Due to its cardioid polar pattern and dynamic design, the mic is naturally excellent at rejecting off-axis sound (like room echoes or background traffic). A major advantage is the built-in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) noise reduction, offering multiple levels (Weak, Medium, Strong). Reviewers have found this feature highly effective, keeping the focus locked onto the voice even in challenging real-world environments with noise like heaters or buzzing insects.

The Maono PD200W includes several features that make it a favorite for content creators:

With a claimed battery life of up to 60 hours (and around 38 hours with the RGB lighting active), it’s built for extended wireless sessions or long-duration remote recordings.

The companion software for Windows and Mac allows users to fine-tune their sound with an equalizer (EQ), compressor, and limiter—tools typically found in higher-end setups. It also includes the controls for the multi-level noise reduction. See app screenshots below and video review for more.

The microphone features 16.8 million colors of RGB lighting, which can be controlled via the software, appealing directly to gamers and streamers who want a visually engaging setup.

It supports connecting two PD200W microphones to a single receiver (2TX + 1RX), which is excellent for dual-host podcasts or interviews, recording each speaker on a separate channel for easier post-production.

The Maono PD200W is a near-perfect hybrid microphone for content creators on a budget who prioritize flexibility.

Overall, the Maono PD200W is highly recommended for streamers, remote workers, YouTubers, and podcasters who need a reliable, clean-sounding microphone that can adapt instantly between a fixed desktop setup and a mobile, cable-free recording scenario. It delivers studio-grade clarity without the studio price tag.

Key Features

  1. Triple-mode connectivity (2.4GHz wireless transmission, USB, and XLR) offering true plug-and-play convenience and freeing creators from the limitations of traditional wired microphones, while providing more versatile connection options than conventional dual-mode mics.
  2. Dual-channel stereo recording – a single receiver connects to two PD200W microphones simultaneously, capturing each signal separately on the left and right channels. This enables independent volume adjustment for each speaker in post-production and eliminates track-mixing issues in multi-person podcasts or interviews.
  3. Studio-grade sound quality – a major upgrade over ordinary microphones, with clarity that rivals the Shure MV7+.
    1. 48kHz/24-bit sampling for authentic, high-resolution sound
    2. 82dB signal-to-noise ratio for ultra-quiet recording with no unwanted noise
    3. 128dB max SPL for distortion-free performance even at high volumes
  4. Direct connection to smartphones, tablets, and cameras – going beyond traditional USB microphones by supporting mobile devices, allowing creators to start from entry-level gear, switch seamlessly across platforms, and reduce time spent on post-production.
  5. Multi-level noise reduction – minimizing environmental background sounds and room acoustics, delivering cleaner and more focused audio without the need for heavy post-processing.

Airbnb Announces New Social Features With AI

Travel isn’t just about where you go—it’s about who you meet. But those connections often fade once the trip ends. That’s why we’re introducing new social features for Airbnb Experiences, to help you connect with other guests before, during and after your experience.

Airbnb Announces New Social Features for Experiences, Smarter Search, Expanded AI Support

With searches for winter travel on the rise, we’re also announcing new updates for guests and hosts in time for a busy holiday season, including:

  • Smarter search and improved maps, to help you discover hidden gems
  • A new way to pay with Reserve Now, Pay Later
  • Expanded AI-powered customer support in more countries and languages
  • More tools to help hosts manage their calendar and pricing

New social features for Airbnb Experiences

Airbnb Experiences are designed to be as much about the people as the activity. Now, we’re introducing new social features, so you can connect with other guests throughout your trip and long after.

  • Who’s going – In a recent survey, more than 7 in 10 respondents said they would like to know more about other guests before booking an experience. Now, before you book, we’ll show you guests who are already going on that experience, along with where they’re from.
  • Direct messaging – Forget to swap contact info? You can request to directly message guests you first met during an experience to stay in touch or even plan your next experience together, all right in the app.
  • Connections in profile  Now, in the Connections section of your Airbnb Profile tab, you can see the people you’ve met on your experiences, making it easy to reconnect with them.

You can enjoy these new social features while staying in control of what you share with new people. For each experience, you can choose to share your profile, giving you clear and simple control over who can message you and how you’re displayed in other guests’ Connections.

Smarter ways to search and more ways to pay

We’re making it easier to discover great places to stay and pay in a way that works for you.

  • Flexible carousels – When you’re searching for your stay, you’ll now see more options for homes just outside of your search criteria. For example, we’ll show homes with similar prices, different amenities or stays in nearby cities for less, helping you discover great options you might have otherwise missed.
  • Improved maps – Maps now let you easily filter for nearby landmarks, attractions, restaurants and more. Tap on any point of interest to see a summary and how far it is from the home in your search—or from the place you already booked. Later this year, see different map views, including satellite, street, and transit, based on your preference.
  • Reserve Now, Pay Later – With Reserve Now, Pay Later, guests have the option to reserve an eligible stay and pay $0 upfront. We launched this in the US earlier this year, and starting next year, it will be available worldwide for both domestic and international trips.

Expanded AI-powered customer support

Our AI assistant is getting even better with smarter responses and support in more places for guests and hosts.

  • More languages, more countries – The assistant will be available in English, Spanish and French, for users in the US, Mexico and Canada.
  • Smarter answers – The assistant can recognize you, your reservation, or your listing and provide quicker, more tailored responses.
  • Built-in actions – The assistant will let you take actions right in the chat, with interactive cards for common tasks like cancelling a reservation or changing dates.

Upgrades for hosts

We’re also rolling out highly-requested features to give hosts more flexibility and insight.

  • Dynamic cancellation policies  Set different cancellation policies for specific dates—like holidays or off-peak seasons.
  • Improved price tips – View price tips for dates up to a year in advance and adopt all tips in just one tap.
  • Updated earnings dashboard – Starting next year, view earnings trends year-over-year and compare seasonal performance in an all new tab.

Google Pixel Buds 2a Review

The Google Pixex Buds 2a are the latest addition to the Pixel line up and a welcome addtion coming in at an affordable price bringing ANC on board which is actually great you will see this the minute you put them on, well I did in my case anyway and on first setting up you will be prompted to do an update.

Before moving on you should look through the app and check the seal is correct and you have the right tips in for the best experience. There is a simple seal test to take and should be done it takes seconds.

The 2a adopts a compact, lightweight design that closely mirrors the higher-end Pro model, making them noticeably smaller than their A-Series predecessors. The highlight of the physical design is the twist-to-adjust stabilizer, a small, semi-circular fin that secures the bud in the outer ear, offering both all-day comfort and a secure fit for exercise.

They boast an IP54 rating for the earbuds (sweat and water resistant) and an IPX4 rating for the case, making them durable companions for daily commutes and workouts. The pebble-shaped charging case is small and pocketable, though it now charges exclusively via USB-C, dropping the wireless charging feature found in previous premium models.

There is also a replaceable battery in the charging case, a fantastic move toward repairability and extending the product’s lifespan.

The Pixel Buds 2a are powered by the Google Tensor A1 chip and feature a custom-designed 11mm dynamic speaker drivers. The audio profile is generally clear and well-balanced, with a satisfying, punchy bass response that doesn’t overwhelm the mids or highs. Users can fine-tune the sound signature using the five-band equalizer in the Pixel Buds app. There is no tinny sound either when maxed out on volume or lag latency notice during my testing and calls clear.

The inclusion of Spatial Audio is a win for immersion, though it only works on newer Pixel devices and does not support the head-tracking feature of the Pro model but still work well after my testing.

For the first time in the A-series line, the 2a includes Active Noise Cancellation with Silent Seal 1.5. This feature is surprisingly capable for a mid-range bud, effectively drowning out low-frequency rumbles like vehilces and airplane noise.

Transparency Mode also performs well, letting in environmental noise naturally for situational awareness this ideal for those who commute of for those who jog or walk late at night or early mornings in the dark.

Smarts

  • Gemini AI: They offer hands-free access to Gemini (Google’s AI assistant) by simply saying “Hey Google” or using a press-and-hold gesture. This integrates deeply with your phone for real-time information retrieval, directions, and more.
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth Multipoint allows connection to two devices simultaneously, and Audio Switch handles seamless transitions between compatible Pixel devices (phone, watch, tablet) based on what you are listening to.
  • Clear Calling: Google’s AI-powered call technology, enhanced by wind-blocking mesh, delivers clear voice pickup, even in noisy outdoor environments.

Overall for the money here you cant go wrong and if you are into a ecosystem of products and you have a pixel device like the watch and phone you will love them and how seamlessy everything works.

The App

Features

  • Active Noise Cancellation with Silent Seal™ 1.5 + Transparency Mode
  • Twist-to-adjust stabiliser for a secure, personalised fit
  • Google Tensor A1 chip for enhanced audio and call clarity
  • Immersive sound with 11 mm dynamic speaker driver and spatial audio
  • Clear Calling and hearing wellness alerts
  • Hands-free Gemini voice assistant with Live Extensions
  • Up to 27 hours of total listening time with charging case

Baseus Chooses Knowles Balanced Armature Drivers With The Inspire XC1 #IFA2025

Knowles Corporation a leading manufacturer of specialty electronic components, including high performance capacitors, radio frequency (“RF”) filters, advanced medtech microphones, and balanced armature (BA) speakers, today announced that Baseus has selected Knowles BA drivers for its flagship open-ear clip wireless earbuds, the Baseus Inspire XC1. This marks the first time Knowles BA technology has been integrated into an open-ear wireless design, representing a significant breakthrough in personal audio innovation.

Revolutionary Hybrid 2-Way Sound Engine

The Baseus Inspire XC1 features a pioneering hybrid 2-way sound engine that pairs a Knowles BA with a 12mm dynamic driver in each earbud. This distinctive combination addresses longstanding acoustic challenges in open-ear designs while delivering crystal-clear sound that rivals traditional in-ear models. Tuned with Baseus’s adaptive SuperBass 3.0 technologies, these open-ear headphones deliver full-range, high-fidelity sound—just as the artist intended. This distinctive combination addresses longstanding acoustic challenges in open-ear designs while delivering crystal clear sound that rivals traditional in-ear models.

Open-ear wireless devices sit outside the ear canal, allowing ambient sound to naturally coexist with the audio experience while providing benefits such as comfort during extended wear, reduced occlusion effect, increased battery capacity, and enhanced situational awareness. However, open-ear designs have historically faced acoustic challenges, including sound leakage, low-frequency drop-off due to a lack of seal, and difficulties in delivering full-spectrum audio.

The Inspire XC1 overcomes these limitations through its sophisticated acoustic system, which combines the precision of Knowles’ miniaturized BAs with the power of a 12mm dynamic driver. This results in a frequency response that captures both subtle sonic textures and a dynamic range that single-driver designs cannot achieve. The dynamic woofer enhances low-frequency response, while the exclusive Knowles BA tweeter delivers exceptional clarity in the mid and high frequencies.

“This collaboration represents a significant milestone for both open-ear wireless audio and our BA technology,” said Jon Kiachian, President of MedTech and Specialty Audio at Knowles Corporation. “This is the first time our BAs have been integrated into an open-ear design, and Baseus has demonstrated remarkable innovation in addressing the unique acoustic challenges of this format. The result showcases exactly what becomes possible when our cutting-edge driver technology meets thoughtful product design—an open-ear audio experience that reveals all the nuances and details of music that conventional open-ear designs simply cannot reproduce.”

Designed for Every Lifestyle

These revolutionary earbuds are ideal for users who want to listen to music while remaining aware of their surroundings. Whether you’re working out at the gym, taking phone calls while walking the street, snowboarding, or skating with music, wearing a clip-on earbud all day at the office for quick calls, or working and studying in a coffee shop, the Baseus Inspire XC1 delivers uncompromising audio quality without sacrificing situational awareness.

Knowles BA drivers enable unprecedented sound performance for their size, allowing Baseus to deliver professional-grade audio quality while maintaining the comfort and situational awareness benefits that make open-ear designs appealing to tech-savvy professionals. The high sensitivity of Knowles BAs also facilitates improved hearing personalization while maximizing power efficiency in the compact form factor.

The Baseus Inspire XC1 leverages Knowles BA technology to achieve the higher frequencies necessary for optimal audio performance, unlocking intricate musical details while preserving natural tonal balance. Advanced features include Dolby Spatial Audio, Hi-Res certification, LDAC codec support, and a leak-proof acoustic design that positions the earbuds among the world’s best-sounding open-ear audio devices.

“When developing our Inspire XC1 open-ear clip model, we needed a technology partner that could help us solve fundamental acoustic challenges that have limited this category,” said Shiyou He, Baseus Founder and CEO. “Knowles BA drivers were the breakthrough we needed, allowing us to achieve frequency response and detail that would be hard with conventional single-driver open-ear designs. This collaboration enables us to create the first open-ear earbuds that can compete with premium in-ear models on audio quality.”

The Baseus Inspire XC1 open-ear clip wireless earbuds featuring Knowles BA technology were unveiled ahead of IFA and are available through the Baseus US official websiteBaseus DE official websiteAmazon U.S.Amazon DE and Amazon UK.  For more information on Knowles BAs, visit www.knowles.com/premiumsound.

Review – Crossky C50 ear-clip earbuds deliver great audio

The Crossky C50 ear-clip earbuds are their latest product on the market that look and feel premium also the case they come in making it an overall nice package for the price and this brand to date has been quite good and under the radar as I have tested many of their products over the years.

The presentation is standard yet inside the box you get what looks like a higher end product the Crossky C50 are light, small and look more expensive and with the new clip-on stlye they look good in the finish we tested.

These are not in-ear earbuds however some think the sound quality is not as good as such here but they are wrong these sound like in-ear earbuds giving you the sound you would expect you have no ANC however you do have some awareness around you but when these are turned up to the max you can forget about hearing anything but your music or videos or what media you consume on phone or tablet.

There is the QCY app which also changes things up a gear with a selection of EQ settings such as spatial sound effects pop rock classic and much more and you can also customise your EQ to your needs having said all this the sound is excellent here for the price with no issues to report like no lag latency or tinny sound, you also dynamic EQ and Gaming mode so the 10.8mm drivers gives a good punch and users will not be dissapointed.

The touch controls can also be customised and work well you have multipoint pairing, adaptive volume and sleeping mode and also tone switch and if you happen to loos them you have the find headset option so overall for the price you pay here you are getting serious value for money.

Overall here these are almost an in ear earbuds experience which is great to see and they sound great no matter what you listen too and for the price you will pay there is nothing you can really complain about to be honest calls are great sound is great battery life is good and they look premium and put it up to others more expensive.

Oboard Bridges the Biggest Strategy Gap Enterprises Face Today

Tracking strategy can be easy for startups and small teams, with more direct lines between goals and work. But enterprise-level growth introduces layers of people, platforms, processes, and eventually, those clean strategy docs stop syncing with what’s happening on the ground.

Oboard’s latest release closes that loop. By adding native KPI tracking to its OKR (Objectives and Key Results)-based platform, the tool now gives teams a way to measure both strategic intent and day-to-day output without risking alignment and accountability.

KPI Tracking That Mirrors Real Work

With this update, KPIs no longer live in isolation from your strategy. Each one now sits inside Oboard as a dynamic module, complete with real-time values, visual status indicators, and contextual notes. That means no more toggling between tabs and platforms.

These cards aren’t just static dashboards. You can update values, mark completion, or annotate progress as it unfolds, all from the same workspace where your team tracks goals. And because Oboard treats KPIs as first-class citizens, you can either nest them within your OKRs or manage them separately, depending on how your team prefers to work.

Color-coded states (green, red, orange) make it easy to see where things stand at a glance. But the real strength lies in the flexibility: percentage targets, compliance scores, engagement benchmarks, whatever you’re tracking, Oboard adapts without forcing a one-size-fits-all mold.

Custom Metrics & Milestone-Based Tracking

Not every KPI fits neatly into a percentage or fixed-value goal. Campaigns evolve, growth is often stepwise, and sometimes success means hitting specific thresholds, rather than climbing steadily to 100%. That’s why Oboard now lets teams define custom metrics that reflect how progress unfolds per team.

You can now:

You can now:

  • Set thresholds like “maintain uptime above 99.5%” or “keep CAC under $60”
  • Break down big targets into milestones, each with a date and individual goal (think: “500 signups by week 2,” then “5,000 by end of quarter”)
  • Track performance within or outside OKRs, depending on how tightly your metrics are tied to your broader outcomes

And for teams catching up or backfilling results, you can log entries for any past date with the “Historical Updates” feature,  complete with notes and a full audit trail in the Progress History tab.

That means:

  • Data stays reliable
  • Audit prep gets easier
  • Everyone trusts what’s on screen

Custom Dashboards: One View That Fits All

Each team reviews strategy a little differently. Growth teams might want a funnel-focused dashboard. A product team might care about feature velocity. Leadership needs the big picture, not buried numbers. Oboard’s Custom Dashboards let you design around those real needs.

  • Drop the metrics, OKRs, and contextual notes that matter
  • Add context blocks that explain what numbers mean, not just what they are
  • Build separate layouts for different teams or reporting cadences: sprint recaps, QBRs, executive reviews, etc.
  • No more screenshots into slides. No more linking out to sheets. You keep your reporting where the strategy lives.

Strategic Takeaways for Leaders

The bigger your organization gets, the harder it becomes to keep strategy, metrics, and execution in sync. This update gives executives a consolidated workflow:

  • Vision (OKRs)
  • Metrics (KPIs & Custom Metrics)
  • Execution data (Milestones, Dashboards, Updates)

All in one space. Leadership can view how campaign-level metrics tie into outcomes, pivot faster when plans shift, and trust the trail of updates when reviewing progress at scale.

Conclusion

Oboard’s new KPI features are now live. If you’re part of a strategy team, PMO, or leadership group looking to tighten the loop between goals and execution, now’s the time to explore one of the best options available today.
